- Welllllll…. Here it is! My completely modded out hi flier. This one is based off the kurt cobain identity crisis hi flier. These guitars are so fun to tinker with. If you’re into nirvana guitar tone, this would be a definite guitar to have. I sprayed it with nitro sonic blue and put on a tune o magic bridge as well as rotomatic tuners. Alrighty then… hope you guys dig the vid ✌🏻
I really like your playing style and quality of shooting. Seriously, you have to record tracks and make movies. You are a talent
Wow, thanks Daniel!!
I thinkcalling people talented really makes down their hard work
@@from.the.basementtrue good point and i'd argue it's unhealthy for the ego of some individuals too
@@job5986 yes for sure
@@from.the.basement when Aaron gets comments that praise him, he's always super appreciative and humble about it, and it seems his work hasn't deteriorated one bit fortunately. Also the comment was encouraging him to release tracks.
I FUCKING LOVE THOSE INTRO SONG THEY'RE SO GOOD, I NEED AN ALBUM FROM YOU SO BAD
AMEN
Hope he sees this and release something, i would definitely be listening as many of us would here
That opening looked like somthing from montage of heck. Great job dude
Thanks a ton!
@@AaronRash nah thank you for existing
Yet another masterpiece of filmmaking on the subject of guitars. I love this!
Yet another masterpiece from you, Really loved the footage from the RCA vhs, I urge you to release your songs you use in your videos, they sound great! Also really dig the look of the identity crisis flier, that teal really matches the vibe of the guitar. That new quad reverb sounds amazing and looks really cool as well, the neck pickup sounds incredible with the Hendrix riff, it definitely nails that atmospheric sound in his studio recordings.
I second this! Release your album, Aaron!
Yes!!!
Yes ! I vote for an album release, i don't care if the songs are 2 minutes long
Wow, thank you so much man that means a lot! I'm definitely working on stuff to release for sure
7:20 surprised me a lot. For a year and a half, the playing and the love for guitar is outstanding to see. I started really early in my life so maybe my perspective is different, but your dedication and artistry shows in your work. Really inspiring video!
That is a photo of The Mod Squad. Was a tv show from 1968-1973
Dude mystery solved! Thanks for pointing that out. I went crazy searching for that.
My 67' Jaguar also has an identity crisis of its own. Gibson bridge, Gibson humbucker in the neck. But they know who they are and uniquely their own. Loved the intro.
I don't care to advertise on other people's channels, so I will ask if you have checked out mine this way Aaron. Stealthy 👀
Keep coming back to watch this. The photographic work together with the music really creates an incredible mood.
I love the little snippets of your own music that you include on these videos so much. Would love a whole album of it.
I really love the look of your guitar and the way it sounds !!
Very great video.
Just saw this video, and subbed. I love how high quality yet personal it feels.
I love the quality of your videos and the vibe in all your of these!!
can't believe i only just found this channel, love these videos!! the production is amazing, and even though there's lots of gear talk i'm coming away inspired to make more music, your playing is so soulful. keep at it!!
One of the few channels where I really don’t mind waiting through the ads to get to your video. Well done man.
cool ass intro yo 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
You're like my favourite RUclips channel. Look forward to every vid u make!
Recently stumbled upon your channel. Deserves so much more attention, keep at it and it will come, thank you for creating!
cant believe u dont have more subscribers, these videos are amazing!! please keep making them!!
Awesome video! Love the guitar and the quad
fire brother! I love your attitude about guitar, i totally get that. The vid came out amazing man
I agree thats exactly why i play as well and those amps sound killer thanks for the vid
This channel rules so fucking hard. Your filmmaking and original music is so good and refreshing.
As always, great video 👍🏼
Wow! You are really taking the quality of your videos to the next step. The song at the beginning was great, hope you will release it
Dude! Love your content and style of creating! Looking forward to hearing a record from you some time in the future! Great inspiration! 👍
Love what you did with this guitar, I myself have a univox phase 2 that I modded similarly except in the bridge I have a DiMarzio super distortion humbucker
You’re such an inspiration bomb for me. Keep up
Been waiting for your video to get recommended in my feed again for a month now since the last video of yours I've watched. Didn't knew the channel's name lol. Now I've subscribed so I can't miss your content. Good luck on everything you do!
I'm trying to stay off the comments section but this video is incredible, your video production skills are in another Ligue and I'm a guitar player for more than 10 years now, i can tell you with confidence you don't suck at all, I started playing because I loved Kurt and nirvana, but now I ended up in a different sonic place, it's a nice touch to see a little Hendrix, and a wha and some improv on that style, hope you keep doing things like this and also whatever you did on the start of the video sounds fantastic, along side the VHS recording gave me some serious nostalgic trip to when I was 15 and obsessed with Nirvana and listened those records every day on repeat, anyways, keep doing the incredible quality content you're doing, thanks for creating, also big fan of Steve jobs too I don't know you but I kinda feel related to you 🥴 hope I'm not sounding stupid, cheers !
Dude thank you so much for all the kind words! That really means a lot! 🤘🏼
I love your videos man. Cinematic, Informational, and super entertaining! Can't wait for 100k subs
Thanks!
That guitar sound at the start of the video is pretty awesome, reminds me of Kurt's demo tapes.
Nice opening! Loved the Hitchcock & reverse Hitchcock camera moves. So enjoying these videos. I thought I was perhaps too obsessed with Nirvana (who I got to see live a couple of times) , you've made me feel like I've got a nice healthy interest by comparison 😉
I feel like 9 min 30 min isn't long enough. I want like 60 minutes per video man! MORE! MOOOOOORE! Loving it.
this is so cool! you earned yourself a new sub!
The beggining of the video felt like a dream, you should make a videoclip in this style, awesome!
Loving the Identity Crisis guitar!! I would love to listen all of your music, also i love the hi flier guitars, this one is so beautiful, i love your channel!!
F#
Every intro shows how much your growing as a singer/song writer. But the video was interesting. Can't wait to hear you music released eventually.
Sick video. im planning on making a kurt cobain type mustang someday, in fiesta red since that color always appealed to me more then sonic blue.
After thinking for a while, i think the things that make a guitar have a hollow sound with no attack is a thick finish on the body + dense/heavy wood for the body, its always the lightwieght guitars with thin nitro finishes and wood that isnt very strong that have that attack that sounds so nice
these intros are on next level❤🔥
the production quality on these vids is immaculate
the best guitar i've ever seen
Love the playing you seriously have got to make your own music
I love that guitar is awesome. And keep doing your thing man I've lost touch with all my music stuff with bad relationships and I'm really starting to regret the time I wasted on people when I could have wasted that time on music for said people that don't deserve it
The intro alone is a work of art
4:00 a lot of the Phase 1s had mahogany necks, and Matsumoku guitars of that era in general.
Total burn the rain vibes. Cool man. 😎
Dude same here about the shredding! I like to develop style, sound, and mostly just figuring out how to put cool riffs together to make original yet catchy songs
How is this high end, super awesome footage not getting more attention? I love your videos so much bro
Absolutely amazing video. Your honestly such an amazingly talented and creative creator. I've been binging and rewatching your videos for a while and you've inspired me to build my own guitar like you do but one question I have is what are the pickups and bridges on your stang-a-tang guitar? Are they vintage or are they new?
You are absolutely right these guitars made me rethink what I thought was an "awesome" guitar LOL
You really go all out when it comes to filming and recording the cinematic intros, i don't know if cinematic is the right word.
LOVE YOUR VIDS KEEP IT UP, WISH YOU ALL GOODNES BROTHE, THOUGHTS WITH YOU
Aye man that solo you played was dope AF.. Don't sell ya self short, i know u don't care but if you made a longer version of that it'd be in my car while I was driving to Santa Monica going to the beach here in cali.
This video is amazing
The picture on the back of the guitar is a shot of the cast of a late 60's early 70's TV show called Mod Squad. It was the show that 21 Jump Street would be based on.
Art comes in all styles. Do your style. Great vid 👌
You must really be loaded considering all the guitars and gear you purchase. I can dig it. I have a Fiesta red MIJ with a U serial number and was made on 05/2012. I have a couple MIJ Strats. I have a 1971 Gretsch Chet Atkins, 100% all original as my grand dad purchased it new in 1970. I am a big Nirvana/Kurt fan as well and am really liking your vids.
Your music is cool dude, wish I could hear more.
Great job on the videos. That picture on the back is a TV show called "The Mod Squad". Pete, Julie, & Linc. Detective show that ran from 68 to 73. Groovy
idk how you do it, every video is better than the last, cudos to you!
Wow, thank you!
Looking forward to the video about the differences in the quad reverbs 🤙
Just found your channel. Cool stuff. That picture on the back of your guitar @5:40 looks like it's from a television show(1968-1973) called The Mod Squad.
a year and a half, jesus ur good man! keep it up
Thank you!!
love ur videos aaron!! i always look forward to them. Quick question tho, i am making my own vandalism strat and i’m wondering if a Seymour Duncan 59B zebra pickup will get me close to the tone.
Love your videos! Weirdly I have a black Aria Hi-flier with a really really dark neck. Much darker than yours, I guess it's mahogany too, never knew. (Also the fretboard is also different than my other "normal" hi-flier)
Your videos are awesome! Really beautiful, the fact that you play the guitar for only one year is something I love! A great live lesson and a little piece of pleasure with a freakin video picture .
Tell us where do you get all your gear , how do you process etc... Inspiring videos anyway .
(excuse my English: French dude )
Thank you very much!
i love the song you played in the intro you should release it!!!
You're so talented! I'm still wondering why you haven't got more viewers. Maybe people have a bad taste in music nowadays
Thank you so much!!
He's BUILDING his channel.....so
Yo such a rad video first off but also wondering if you have or have tried any of the jagstangs that fender has made over the years. Considering what guitar to pick up next
Just found your channel looking for stories about Kurt (I created a black "rock in a cops face" strat, and a BJA "bluey" strat myself, and I love your work dude, love the stories about Kurt's guitars. One thing - damn you're a lucky man, your wife is gorgeous!!!
Unmatched intros, best intros on youtube hands down
Wow thanks!!
@@AaronRash no problem bro
You do such a remarkable job with the visual effects and audio effect making it appear as if from start of the 90's. What did you do to the sound?
I know this about guitars, but the production...
Ok it was the cam
Fucking love the videos man keep them up
Hey man, you got some really cool songs! Are there any videos of them?
I am working on A new model guitar that was inspired by Kurt’s Collection. I want you to know that not only he but also you have played a big part in this idea. When I saw the clip where you showed that “If you build it, they will come” quote on the guitar, I got goosebumps. The company will be called Fowler Guitars. The concept being like a Fowler would capture a bird from the sky, I hope to capture the sounds in my head. A reference you made as well. We are definitely kindred, musical spirits, my friend. I appreciate everything you do!
i just saw a red one! i love identity crisis
Beautiful video.
That was a good one
6:17 reminds me heavily of ‘Animal Nitrate’ by Suede
It's the Mod Squad dude. The MOD SQUAD!!
I have a Aria 1702T as well, great guitar.
mosrites go hard with that finish
awesome
First thing i do when i start watching an aaron rush video is turn my brightness al the way up 😂
Your intros are fking amazing and the song in them. Vhs videos always brings the nostalgic feelings.
That univoxes are too expensive now it is cheaper to buy a harley bentons mosrite copy. But i dont know how good they are.
Probably kid#1 and kid#2 sounds diferent because they are hand made. They are build by a man and not by a robot. Like you say, 2 speakers of the same model sounds different. It may think about the other hardware affects too, to the sound.
You truly are a fantastic creator, your content is so personal and unique whilst also being really interesting and creative. Your love for analogue technology is inspiring :)
Wow, thank you!
I'm currently attempting to become a musician, but I'm struggling to develop my own voice. Watching your channel inspires me to keep trying
Awesome video can you re-create the tone of verse chorus verse?
That’s a rad hiflyer… I’m super jealous of your 2 quads. The morning of my 16th birthday there was a big crash, my bedroom door flew open and my dad rocked the intro of purple haze cranked to 10 at the full 80 watts hit me like a suicide bomber… I was in love. it was the best birthday present I’ve ever gotten. Hands Down. It’s my absolute favorite amp in the world. I run with only 2 tubes these days as the days of insane volume have mostly ended…😒. I also serious dig the refinish on the hiflyer. They are great guitars. I had a black phase 2 for a bit. I like the P90s a lot. Not a fan of humbuckers tho… Great video tho. I dig the look at the beginning.
Yo man, ur absolutely awesome! Can u recommand me a speaker for nirvana tones?
The picture on the back is the main cast members of The Mod Squad. Michael Cole, Peggy Lipton(wife of Quincy Jones and mother of Rashida Jones of Parks and Recreation) and Clarence Williams III.
YAY ANOTHER VIDEO
shit, i fucking lov all type of univox hi flyer
wtf
Oh hell yeah!!!!!!!
New videeeooo, let's go for another great moment
Ive just been thinking about getting a harley benton one
coool!
Great
Keep it up dude! Go getcha a sixer on me!
Dude thank you so much! I'm speechless
