This feels a little slow though, you spend a lot of time with the enemies though. I usually use 2 characters as you, but the other one will cast arithmetic spells to kill most enemies on the 1st turn, so usually a Black mage with arithmetic sub. And then toad the last enemy and/or put everyone to sleep expect for the person de-leveling, so you can focus on de-leveling on every turn. Or just assign a knight job as sub on the person de-leveling, stand your units at the delevel-trap spot area and speed-break your ally then the enemy when it comes in contact with you.

You can also level down with a Mindflayer in your party next to a unit with the Beastmaster support ability.

Yes but way too tedious and slow. This Method + Fast Forward is better.

@@Jazmataz1992 The failed teleport does work really well. I've done both methods at once at Fovoham Windflats entering from Ziekdan Fortress starting close to the degenerator trap and using two Mindflayers.

Good video. But why would you delevel, what's the advantage/trick. Thanks 👍

Leveling or Deleveling Units with the right Job Class increase specific Stats. Example: Ramza Levels Up with a Ninja Class that enhances his Speed Stats. Than you delevel Ramza with the Bard Class (Worst Stats).

And also if you want to unlock Dark Knight early this could bring the level back down so that the story isn’t so easy

It's also seems to help with the shitty retroachievements set for this game, where the dev for some reason thought level caps were a good idea.

@@Jazmataz1992so is there any possibilities I can delevel with anyone as the ninja then to gain level ups for more physical attack & speed or will the leveling up the ninja to lvl 99 then to change into another job for delevling into a mine or summoner just to regain level ups but also have the ninja stats of physical attack & speed on that 1 specific job (summoner or mine) ???
I never tested this RNG type gameplay.

@@pot_of_greed2414The ninja job has high enough strength that you can still use him for level ups and gain a strength profit. That being said, mime is the best job to level up as, highest strength, magic, and HP growth, while also having above average speed growth.

Why must be bard for that trick? Anyway, that’s why items must be with lvl req. like any rpg.

In this game, your stats grow or shrink based on the "job" you are at the time that you gain a level or lose a level.
Bards have the worst stat growth in the game. But unlocking the bard job is a PITA.
So the idea is, level up as a strong fighter, like a Knight or Monk. Get decent stats. Then down level as a Bard, so you keep most of your HP and PA. Then level up again with a job with better stat growth.
Lots of reasons why you'd want to do this. One, rando enemies scale with your level, where as the available gear does not. And then characters join your party late, at a fixed level, thus they are useless against high level mobs.
