A lot of secrets, hidden things and even some main elements of the game in the entire Dark Souls series are often hidden behind a giant metaphorical wall, and on that wall someone has scribed in blood "How the hell was I expected to figure that out?!"
Another secret (glitch more than anything) is the swordsman glitch. First, kill the uchigitana wielder in Firelink. Thensummon the sword master for the Dancer/Champion fights. Let the swordmaster die, and exit the game. Continue the game, resummon him, and go back into those boss battles. The sword master will have no hit box and cannot be damaged by the bosses. The sword master can bleed both bosses down without you needing to do anything more than keep your distance from either boss. This also gets you into Londor early on for soem early game suicide runs to grab titinite chunks and other goodies, and the sunbro covenant alter near the Dragonslayer Armor boss.
You can, though regardless of git gud or not, you can get to lothric castle and covetous king's garden super early and collect enough large/chunks to build a +9 weapon early in the game.
+Raid probably isn't gonna happen for quite some time man 😂 they've planned 3 DLCs and the first isn't even out yet while the second is scheduled to not be released until 2017!
You don't have to talk to the dude in the cage, you can just go straight to the guy with the cage on his back and he'll not be aggressive as long as you don't kill the boss of that area
good vid ! But ... u don´t need fight against these crocodiles in same time . u can stay at the ladder and use a bow and hit the right crocodile ,than the monster come to u and u can fight against this first crocodile near the ladder and after that u can fight against the second one . greetings .
it was funny. i slaughtered the first one no problem. not a hit taken. the second one owned me like 3 times in a row. finally killed it and some chode invaded and insta killed drained me lol.
You can also stick hard to the left wall and Aggro the beast on the left. Run back to ladder area and you can fight him there without making the other beast aggro.
Sounds like mitch from gamefront. Anyway, there is also two artorias easter eggs in the firelink shrine. Both are in the same spot but one is in the lit firelink and the other in the untened grave. The hub area one has a dog next to a grave with a small artorias sword perched upon the gravestone, reference to sif boss fight except way easier. The one in untented graves is the exact same except its as if you went to the opposite side and for those of you who played dark souls, what lies on the other side is the horbets ring which is also a reference to dark souls.
+airanator1212 If you dont even go there, that doesnt affect much, its really affect the Anri's questline when you are healed the dark sigil,in that case, you can see her/his (always your character opposite gender) sign before aldricht, then you can help him to defeat him,he mention at the end of the fight Horace, who you killed,"Horace,we finally did it" after you port back to your world, talk to Ludleth at the shrine (the undead guy on the throne who exchange the boss weapons for their souls) and he give you anris straight sword.
+H4xooR I heard that If you went back to smoudering lake without being cursed after get the sword, you will be able to fight Anri at the place you killed Horance. There will be a tomb, and she will be fighting with a broken straight sword. I have'nt tried that yet though.
+Lin Justin Actually you can do it when you are cursed (i'm not sure about without being cursed). You will find Anri at that place if you told him/her about what happened to Horance. However, if you didn't tell him/her about him, you will find him/her near the crest shield loot (near the first bonfire at Cathedral of the Deep uphill). In both areas, he/she would be hostile, and he/she doesn't drop any loot.
I'm pretty new to the series, started with bloodborne which i haven't finished yet cause of school and exams and shit but i've watched playthroughs of the older games but man i didn't realise how in depth these games were, optional areas that you can completely miss, bosses in those areas, that invisible bridge stuff. I'm gonna have to get this game
start with DS1 and then DS2, you need to have played and felt what those games are like before playing DS3 to truly feel the impact of some of the stuff in DS3. but if you don't care about lore or easter eggs and just want new graphics, cool bosses and combat that sill has players to PvP with, then by all means go ahead and play DS3 first. but seriously dude, watching playthroughs of the other games just isn't enough, you gotta experience them for yourself.
+SparksFly2323 unfortunately i can't play DS1 cause i don't have a good enough pc and i don't have a ps3 anymore, but i've read about the lore to have some understanding of whats going on and how it's linked to DS3, seems like 1 is linked to 3 more than 2 is! I can play DS2 though so thats something at least
honestly as it says in the video the trees spot seems deliberate tbh and much like everyone else it was literally the first thing I tried when I saw it. From often has games with sequence breaking and this is just a short form of that. They hardly fix those. I think it entertains them to see people beat the game in 30 mins by being creative
Do you know what a secret is in a game? It's something that is hidden. How is the Mound Makers Covenant and Smoldering Lake not hidden content? How is the dead body in Profane Capital not an easter egg? I swear, Souls players can be the most pretentious bunch.
@@OneAndZer0 That ladder guy is the only one that surprised me. There is a trophy you achieve when you find all covenants because of that I don't consider them as "Secrets" an easter egg or secret should not give you trophy. At least that's what I think.
@@OneAndZer0 a secret is something hidden that is special and separate to the main content.. everything in this video is just questlines, items and areas that are part of the game you're meant to find normally... they aren't secrets.
There is also another secret area for those who don't know after oceiros there is a hidden wall past the emote and the chest at the end of the room. it leads to the dark firelink shrine. Also, if you return sometime after you visit Archdragon Peak, Where the emote was there will be another item that is the Drakeblood set
ive never talked to the caged guy and always been able to join the covenant no problem lol as long as you don't kill the greatwood and don't attack the guy with a cage on his back you're yood
DKS CAST I went up to the monster with the cage on his back and pressed X to climb in. I didn't speak to the weird cage monster guy with the plank shield right infront of him, he tells you some bizzarre riddle. In the video they say you have to speak to the weird caged monster before climbing into the cage on the guys back which isn't the case.
Hey thanks for this tips on secrets video. I am currently in the middle of recording Dark Souls 3, And I am now going to be using a couple of these secrets namely the early crow access and the mound covenant, I will make sure to add your video into the description of mine. cheers, Keep up the good work and PLAYAWAY
A Person, nope. You apparently have yet to get the silvercat ring and/or fall control. It was meant for you to drop down from the bridge above to get there and I do believe that you can get to the crows easily from an opening on the front side close to the ladder.
You can get to the crows on top of the roof where the nest is, you don't have to go inside. But if you buy the key to go up to the tower after High Lord Wolnir (I think) you will meet Patches the Unbreakable who locks you in in the tower, he also sells the Catarina armor which can help you progress Siegward's questline. Also Siegward and Patches are the only 2 that can save Greirat when you send him out on his second quest.
You don't need to talk to the caged whateveritis to go into the cage and get down to Hodrick in the Pit of Hollows. The boss fight in the Smoldering Lake is more in the beginning than in the end. Literally the whole area beyond the actual lake is only there if you want to disable the giant Ballista, and of course get a few sweet items including two pyromancy tomes. The first free level from Yoel, you will get when you get back to FIrelink Shrine after sending him there. After that, you will need to die 2 times to get the next level, and 2 for each level up to 5 beyond that. You must also do this before the ABYSS WATCHERS, not Aldrich. Yoel will die when you enter the Catacombs of Carthus. Anri is a woman or a man depending on your gender. I feel like these are some of the things you should check up on before making videos about them, especially since the channel is so large.
+sampochw I stopped watching when he got the whole mound makers shit wrong. There is literally a step by step guide for it on the wiki that he obviously didn't read.
You don't need to talk to the cage. for #1 you can't kill the Abyss Watchers or Enter the Catacombs of Carthus without drawing out your strength 5 times. If you do, you will lose Yoel, the Yuria and Anri quests, and much more. Aldritch is far far far later in the game and going upon this video's information will cause an unlucky raisin to lose the ability to get the Usurpation ending.
That's wonderful, but that wasn't aimed at you. If you don't draw out your strength those 5 times, Yoel will die, you'll lose out on potentially 5 free levels, and Yuria will not appear. Killing the Abyss watchers and/or entering the catacombs *will* cause Yoel's death. Also, faggot is such a 2012 insult. You would think that better insults would have appeared by now~ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
+Derr Mann Well, you should change your first post maybe to something not missunderstandable. :P When I read it, it tells me "you can't kill the Abyss Watchers or Enter the Catacombs of Carthus without drawing out your strength 5 times" and that´s more than just wrong. ;)
I was surprised that they mentioned Illusory walls but didn't mention the Untended Graves secret area of the game. Although it's not as hard to get to as the Archdragon Peak but still it's easy to miss. For the record if people are curious it's behind an illusory wall behind the chest you find after the Oceiros boss
What do you people classify as secrets and easter eggs wtf? I've seen people complain about this multiple times. These are ALL secrets and easter eggs. Just because they're not some fourth-wall breaking developer shenanigans doesn't classify them as otherwise.

you don't get all the stuff
You don't have to talk to the undead conglomerate to hop in the cage carrier's cage
+mand0rk you can even kill him if you want
A lot of secrets, hidden things and even some main elements of the game in the entire Dark Souls series are often hidden behind a giant metaphorical wall, and on that wall someone has scribed in blood "How the hell was I expected to figure that out?!"
+TotallyToonsTV Typical JRPG. Just something we've grown accustomed to.
Actually, i think the most secret ending is [SPOILERS] when you give the dark eyes to the fire keeper and kill her after you summoned her in the end.
Yeah, I don't think many people expect to be able to interact with anything during a cutscene, let along one of dark souls' ones.
I dropped my controller and killed her so I didn't get a trophy fml
+ItzFizz Wow I didn't even consider killing her when I summoned her. Does that grant a unique cutscene?
+Sam Poncho The best one, yes.
+SwagSwag69 it will be the same trophy as the "linking the fire" trophy so nothing goes wrong.
tried all the 4 endings only 3 trophies did appear.
Oh shit dude this is super helpful, does this still work?
Or you can git gud and beat the dancer normally
You can, though regardless of git gud or not, you can get to lothric castle and covetous king's garden super early and collect enough large/chunks to build a +9 weapon early in the game.
Mirage Gaocariomon I can beat her normally, I just wanted to get a +9 weapon early
the dancer is very easy so theres really no reason to have a godded phantom with you.
i dont have DS 3 but i stil watch it because of gameranx
+Raid same but i wanna get it
Michael garrett idem but i wanna wait the game of the year edition with all the dlc incuded
+Raid probably isn't gonna happen for quite some time man 😂 they've planned 3 DLCs and the first isn't even out yet while the second is scheduled to not be released until 2017!
***** What 2017? oh god
You don't have to talk to the dude in the cage, you can just go straight to the guy with the cage on his back and he'll not be aggressive as long as you don't kill the boss of that area
Was just about to say this
good vid !
But ... u don´t need fight against these crocodiles in same time . u can stay at the ladder and use a bow and hit the right crocodile ,than the monster come to u and u can fight against this first crocodile near the ladder and after that u can fight against the second one . greetings .
it was funny. i slaughtered the first one no problem. not a hit taken. the second one owned me like 3 times in a row. finally killed it and some chode invaded and insta killed drained me lol.
You can also stick hard to the left wall and Aggro the beast on the left. Run back to ladder area and you can fight him there without making the other beast aggro.
I want to know how the Firekeeper knows what gestures you are doing when she's blind...
Need to get this game already.
+DeadlestSpartanGroup yeah probably. Get on it!
gameranx
I will as soon as I can.
+DeadlestSpartanGroup buy it, buy it NOW!!!
same here. But the money...
***** Yeah, those camera angles have cost me a life a time or two...
I broke into laughter when I found Gilligan.
2016: Tree jump might get patched out
2020: *Tree jump go brrrrr*
it got patched?
@@edison7539 nope. Still in.
watching this just made me go and start a new game in dark souls 3, praise the sun lads
For the number 1 secret you don't have to kill the guy in dark armor in shouldering lake. I didn't and I still got the ending
shouldering? lmao
+Frank Castle
Yeah, having to SHOULDER
all those questionable feels
You don't need to talk to the guys in the cage. You can go straight to the big guy.
"10 easter eggs on things i dont wanna miss out on" the firekeeper reacting to your gestures 😁🔫
Even in 2019 tree jump not patched
honestly as it says in the video the trees spot seems deliberate tbh and much like everyone else it was literally the first thing I tried when I saw it. From often has games with sequence breaking and this is just a short form of that. They hardly fix those. I think it entertains them to see people beat the game in 30 mins by being creative
2020 still not lol
2021 still not patched and never will be
almost 2022 and still not patched lmao
With how many names he mispronounced it makes me think he was reading from a script, and that he's never played dark souls.
None of these are easter eggs.
Most of these are not even secrets.
LightTheAbsol the ladder Smith is technically an Easter egg
This comment though. You’re right. Ladder guy and demon ruins are the only raster eggs.
Great list, usurpation of flames is such a cool ending. Much better than the others
I was still entertained even though I never played Dark Souls. Good job!
Crocodile monsters? That are wolves and they look exactly like Gats fury from Berserk
+cragethGER They're crocodogs.
And big Nopes
+Bram van Veenschoten i always thought of them as twisted rat crocodiles
+MrOwnsU nah, read Berserk, you'll understand, infact you'll understand and see way more easter eggs, Berserk was a huge influence on the soul series
PsychicWoodpecker is right, Artorias whole character is from Gats, the main char (for example)
At 1:31 you don't need to talk to him at all.
You don't need to talk to the cage spider to pacify the big guy with the cage on his back.
There is also another secret area for those who don't know after oceiros there is a hidden wall past the emote and the chest at the end of the room. it leads to the dark firelink shrine. Also, if you return sometime after you visit Archdragon Peak, Where the emote was there will be another item that is the Drakeblood set
Thx for a great video, made me start on my dark souls 3, secund journey!
*cough* Untended Graves *cough*
I unlocked the dark ending on my first time playing the game without any help(google youtube etc.). :D
Cool
same here haha
ive never talked to the caged guy and always been able to join the covenant no problem lol as long as you don't kill the greatwood and don't attack the guy with a cage on his back you're yood
Fabian Mercado jenkem?
How is that possible? you can't get down there unless you kill the greatwood or talk to the guy
*****
Ahh okay by "Talking to the guy" I meant the guy with the cage on his back
DKS CAST oh gotcha yeah after re reading I kinda figured that's what you ment :P
When the corpse appears in front of Grand Archives look at him through the binoculars. The dude is actually blinking. Creepy.
We need a total shut down on Dark Souls 3 spoilers until we can fugure out what the hell is going on.
+Crouchy232323 explain?
Make Dark Souls 3 Great Again.
+Crouchy232323 figure what out lol
+Nino Latimer Its a Trump joke. There's a video of him constantly saying "WE NEED TO FIGURE OUT WHAT IS GOING ON" over and over again
alex kovach Oh ok got it lol, idk why I didn't realize it
man... I spent 20,000 for that stupid key to now Find out I could've gotten up there by a tree
you can only get to the crows by using the tree
A Person oh OK good thank u it makes me feel better that it didn't go to waste.
A Person, nope. You apparently have yet to get the silvercat ring and/or fall control. It was meant for you to drop down from the bridge above to get there and I do believe that you can get to the crows easily from an opening on the front side close to the ladder.
ShinigamiH I know but you can jump from the tree and get to the crows
Really well done mate.
The game still has an Easter egg yet to be found
*a good miracle build*
"Cage bone spider thing" lol
+Arming Sword keep trying, you'll get there one day.
+Derr Mann Well, you should change your first post maybe to something not missunderstandable. :P When I read it, it tells me "you can't kill the Abyss Watchers or Enter the Catacombs of Carthus without drawing out your strength 5 times" and that´s more than just wrong. ;)
+Trouble Maker Fair enough.
nope the jumping trick still works
I was surprised that they mentioned Illusory walls but didn't mention the Untended Graves secret area of the game. Although it's not as hard to get to as the Archdragon Peak but still it's easy to miss. For the record if people are curious it's behind an illusory wall behind the chest you find after the Oceiros boss
I just started playing dark souls 3 acouple days ago and figured out the tree skip on my own I was so proud!!!
rosetta
It bugs me a little how you mispronounce everything.
Did he say Rosettas Fingers?
I did all this my first play through, now I know for sure it was a quality playthrough
2.6K dislikes? It was an amazing video showing off probably the actual most top 10 secrets in the game.
this is the most cancerous thumbnail on the darksouls side of youtube
I knew them all lel
I got the Usurpation of Fire ending before I even realized I was going to get a special ending. Kappa.
This was awesome! Thanks
Thanks! I was missing mound makers
....dude this is mitch right... like.... gamefront mitch.... it has to be?
No secrets, no easter eggs.
Waste of time.
k
What do you people classify as secrets and easter eggs wtf? I've seen people complain about this multiple times.
These are ALL secrets and easter eggs. Just because they're not some fourth-wall breaking developer shenanigans doesn't classify them as otherwise.
K
only females type "K"
Yeah this is all stuff players can find/figure out simply by playing the game. Nothing secret
MITCH!!!
+Banditolore BANDITO!
+JurassicRabbit Mitch, do you work for this channel? I'll totes subscribe if you do.
I do work for this channel
Dark souls side quests are so hard to miss. You don’t even know it’s a side quest until you’re almost at the end of it
*Has a huge sword that pairs with a dagger for amazing combos*
*offhands a bow*
Welcome to Dark Souls
