  • This song was used on the show numerous times, and also a version exists on record, but this is the very first performance of this classic tune. Featuring our beloved Bob and the short-term character Rafael (played by Raul Julia)

Wow really shows the Broadway talent here with Raul Julia.

I’m so glad we got to have so many cast members of color, and from different countries on this show! It warms my heart! ❤❤

It’s nice to see Raul Julia’s work on Sesame Street. Before the Adams Family, that is. He is truly missed.

Gonna rank all my favorite NMWYL performances
    1. Rosita and some background singers (1996)
    2. Luis and Big Bird (1972)
    3. Bob and Rafael (1973)
    4. Out of This World (2003)

Rafael seems like a Spanish version of John Lennon (the hair and glasses) 🙂🙂

Raul Julia and Charlotte Rae were on Season 3 only, but I found them quite interesting.

I think they just added too many characters for the third season..it was hard to really get to know Molly or Rafael (and Tom) because there were the 4 mainstays plus Maria, Luis and David

*Tengo coraje* actually translates to "I have courage"
    *Estoy enojado/a* means "I'm angry (mad)..." 👌🏻

I was surprised that they said "angry" instead of "mad" because it didn't rhyme well...at least in later versions they did the "mad"/"sad" couplet
