Great retirement planning Izzy! Congrats you two! I built my retirement shop 5 years before I retired, in preparation for it! 13 years later, I’m living in total retirement contentment!😉👍 Have fun!!!
Congrats Izzy and Maggie on your retirement. I too have recently retired after 35+ years in the IT racket. I am also in the process of re-jigging my shop. You have been an inspiration over the years. Enjoy
Enjoy guys, your delivery is flawless Izzy which tells us viewer your grasp and commitment to your craft is innate. No way can this presentation be something contrived but is completely understood and learned through years of development and skill. Enjoy your upcoming years and thank you again from sunny Scotland.
I'm a retired union carpenter by definition, but didn't do any fine woodworking until then. I didn't get my first table saw until then either! I can tell you mine is nothing as nice as your set up! Mine is an old Craftsman with the Bench Dog cast iron router table mounted on the left side like yours with a 3-1/4 hp Triton router and it does everything I need. I also put an Incra fence with Jessum rollers that are just a game changer for an old style, pre-riving knife, saw. Enjoy your time in your shop, doing what you want and feeding your passion!
Congrats on retirement and the engagement Izzy. I've been consuming maker content in RUclips a couple years now and I noticed your creative influence on the online maker community early on. You've had such cool ideas. I'm sure I join many others in being happy for you and your lady. 🎉🍾
I've been following you for quite a while. Congrats on retiring. Very few people who make a living turning sawdust into groceries are able to give it up. Looking forward to all of the extremely ingenious stuff you always come up with.
Congrad's on your engagement and congrads on your retirement (I'm in the same boat) and many thanks for all your instructions and ideas and products. LONG LIFE TO YOU BOTH......GOD BLESS.
I retired like that. No more from dark in the morning to dark at night. I put in about 25 to 30 hours a week keeping my hand in and my mind active. I like it. I think you will too. Congratulations and good luck.
Now that I am retired, people ask me what is like. I usually respond that being retired means everyday is Saturday. Good for you on your endless Saturdays.
Congratulations on the retirement Izzy and Maggie, your content has actually inspired me to start up my own channel, coming up to 40 and love woodworking, learning new skills and teaching those skills to others 🎂🤗
Maybe going back to the old days Izzy? Not knocking the product oriented stuff you've been doing as you grew the business, but boy do I (and many others) miss those fun jigs, how to's, and more that got you to where you were in the world of RUclips. BTW: Retired 6 months ago...there is NO SUCH THING as a 40 hour week...I went from a 50 hour per week 'job', to an 80 hour a week retirement...Ready to go back to work to reduce the workload. LOL...Congrats!
Hey Izzy - I would love to see how the drawers are mounted under the table saw wings. I have a super small shop and my 36” SawStop takes up about ¼ of it… I’d really like to attach some sort of storage under those wings!
izzi you are the most talented woodworker on youtube and you have discovered( Quality of Life) take it more easy but keep your excellent video,s comming.
I just purchased the Alpha 4HP 36” saw at Christmas. Just added the router wing, fence dust cabinet etc. Jess M lift last week (they were out of stock on the RT 800. I am loving the set up, no regrets at all.
I think the router table on the left side of table saw is a brilliant idea. If you have a small shop, I think the best place for the table saw is up against the wall on the right side. So that makes putting the router table on that side of the table saw very difficult. But the left side, is wide open, so that makes it the best place for the router.
Love the shop, Izzy! Nice to see you down-sizing a bit, and making room in your life for enjoying life. Absolutely love the Kaizen organization that you've put together. Wishing you and the Mrs. the best in your "retirement"
Congratulations on both your retirement and engagement ... hope you enjoy both immensely 👍 ........ Looking forward to whatever you produce in future, I'm sure it'll be as educational., inspirational and fun as always 😀
Kudos on the 'retirement'. Have some fun! Setup my TS in much the same way but more along the budget side. Sears cast iron contractors saw with the long Incra III TS long fence. The anodized extruded rails are the backbone of the setup. The outfeed table and left side router table mount on the rails. The router is a 3HP soft start porter cable mounted in one of Woodgears tilting router lift. I can move the TS fence all the way to the router table. This works good for anchoring a circle cutting jig. Dust collection is the biggest challenge as it is with most contractor saw. The whale is the table saw. It eats a lot of shop. But worth it. :Looking forwards to more on your TS.
I'm retiring from my full time job as well. I've worked in live theatre for 35 years. I'll be building a work shop and hoping to build stuff to sell online or at flea markets. Good luck and congrats to you both.
You deserve it Izzy. Wish I could afford one of your clamp on infeed tables but it is not in the cards right now. Perhaps you will put some plans on the website for it. Thanks for all you have contributed to me and to the community. I look forward to your new adventure.
You both are great inspiration for many thousands I guess, thanks from the heart, always remember the World "think" when o have to solve some issues or woodshop problemas, hug and cheers my dear Izzy. 🤟👍😎👌
I like the drawers below the the tables. I have Jet10 table saw and this gives me ideas on how to keep those items close by. I also like the build in router lift, I had one in my last saw Ryobi which was not a lift style. I used a 1/4" fixed router in there and it was a pain and never used. These are great ideas especially the Kizan foam.
It's funny to hear him say that because I work 40 hour weeks and I'm always exhausted and it takes WAY too much time from my life do work on projects and family time
As usual an interesting and informative video. Congratulations on your retirement and future endeavours. I would like to wish Maggie and you all the best for your marriage and future. Terry from Australia.
Congrats! Recently forced into medical retirement myself and building my shop. Very interested in how you apply your knowledge and experience as we age. Thank you.
Enjoy your well deserved retirement and marriage. Your feed end extension is sold-out. Since your not going to make more of them, have you considered selling plans to make one?
I may send you one of my latches for your retirement ...lol. Grats on everything...I'm so happy for you because you are happy and you've inspired me so much. I'm looking forward to that new direction.
thank you Izzy . welcome to retirement . as a friend of mine said its not for sissies . lol smooth move with Maggie she is a little cutie . n good luck with it all
Hey Izzy. Great setup. I hope this isn't too personal to ask, but, as a 56-year old who has been in a wheelchair my entire life and knowing you have had some health issues that may be relatable, have you thought about solutions that might be effective should you find yourself "seated" again? I've focused on tools that I can place on custom stands/cabinets that move around (I'm also limited by space, requiring extra maneuvering space makes every setup a game of Tetris with tools), and have tried to get the most versatile tools I can, but am precluded from a lot of larger bandsaws, floor standing drill presses, etc. My biggest struggle is indeed the tablesaw (my current setup is a Bosch jobsite saw set into a custom workstation to provide larger work surface for outfeed and material support) but I'm shopping for an upgrade. I'd get a cabinet saw but they are just too high to use comfortably (or safely in some situations) and, having had a contractor saw in the past, I'm just not a fan of having the motor hanging out the back, dust collection, and general access all the way around and so my current thought would be one of the enclosed hybrid saws with a custom base I would build (Grizzly/Shop Fox) which seems to be as close as I can get to a cabinet saw. The jury's still out however. I'm curious if you've given any thought to what your approach would be should you find yourself in a similar situation as you have in the past? Again, I hope it's not too personal of a question, but watching you for many years and knowing your ability to innovate I wondered if you had ever given this any thought?
Congratulations on retirement! It will be interesting to see how much "production" machinery you keep for the personal shop in the final iteration. I have to say, though, the storage for the router fence has all the makings of a champion shin buster. Down low, extends beyond edge, hidden by the top surface. The Devil's Trifecta!
Great retirement planning Izzy! Congrats you two! I built my retirement shop 5 years before I retired, in preparation for it! 13 years later, I’m living in total retirement contentment!😉👍
Have fun!!!
Please don't retire from posting videos. Look forward to each one. PS....Congrats you crazy kids !!!
Congratulations on the ‘retirement’ - looking forward to the next phase of the journey. Cheers.
Congrats Izzy and Maggie on your retirement. I too have recently retired after 35+ years in the IT racket. I am also in the process of re-jigging my shop. You have been an inspiration over the years. Enjoy

Happy to see someone using Harvey! Had mine for almost 2 years best upgrade ever. Congratulations on retirement!
I hope you enjoy your retirement. I purchased several of your devices and enjoy them. I'm glad you are not stopping the making of useful videos.
I put a jessem lift in my Harvey router setup. Very happy with it.
This is now my favorite channel!!
Thanks to Lincoln St Woodworks for directing me here.

I like the idea of the router table on the left for same feed direction as table saw.
Congratulations, look forward to the next videos and updates. Everyone stay warm, safe, happy and healthy. From Henrico County Virginia
Izzy, I hope you're both doing well, feeling even better!
My ears perked up when you mentioned that you might make a tiny house. Would*love* to see the innovative stuff you would bring to a tiny house build!
Sounds like retirement is going to be a blast. Simple, good content (with a ton less hours) is going to be fun. Have a great time and enjoy!
The clamp on in feed table thingy is brilliant

It's funny to hear him say that because I work 40 hour weeks and I'm always exhausted and it takes WAY too much time from my life do work on projects and family time
Looking forward to your future content. Cheers!
6:07 Didn't understand how this thing works but now I see it is just for setup. Once angles are set, you move fence to table saw miter slot. Got it.
I love the ideas you just showed (and many of the others in the past videos) and am looking forward to what will be happening in the future!!!
Looks Awesome Brother, Congrats on the Engagement and Retirement Maggie and Izzy
As usual an interesting and informative video. Congratulations on your retirement and future endeavours. I would like to wish Maggie and you all the best for your marriage and future. Terry from Australia.

We are very impressed with Harvey. Thank you
