    It will be cool if we have some docs that helps you setup r8 optimizations for Instrumentation Test classes and to run those tests over optimized code.

    It seems like IOS platform developers have never cared about the shrinking. The apps on IOS are always of a size like they have a video file inside)

    Do we have to apply -optimizations filter if we want to activate something, or it always activates all the filters and we can use the rule to deactivate certain filters (eg. !method/removal/parameter) ??

    Good talk. Beginner level though, so if you already use R8 in your app and have added proguard rules to fix issues, you probably won't learn anything.

      I see we got switched from using ProGuard to R8 with Android Gradle plugin 3.4.0 this year. 🤔
