No, CNN taking him totally off air would suggest he could not act professionally. It wasn't anything he did on air which lead to suspension, investigation and termination.

So what if he assisted his brother in his private time? He did it in his own time and didn't use any CNN employees. CNN doesn't own his contacts. The contacts are also private citizens and are free to assist Chris Cuomo the private citizen. People are getting the trees and the forest confused. The bigger picture is did Chris Cuomo advance his brother's position on his show or influence the coverage of the issue and the answer was no! What he does in his private time is his business so long as he did nothing illegal. This whole thing is all about optics and virtue signaling.
