Dude this is so cool!!! Thanks for sharing it here! I was pretty sure it could be done by someone who is skilled enough to be indifferent to the slow right yaw that would develop in the flare. Actually, I was sure the right yaw would be stronger than it turned out to be. Amazing!
@@Johnny31297 do u think i can put some parts from the m2 evo on this to make it fly better? Like the bigger tail blade and main blades, or even the tail boom
How is it this helicopter can auto-rotate? I thought it has dual motors, so when you kill the motor, the tail motor should die as well so the heli should start spinning. How is it the tail blades are still turning?
When you kill the motors and enter autorotation, there is no torque besides aerodynamics driving the rotor, so there's no need for a tail rotor. Of course there's a slight drag from the bearings and the motor that will slowly yaw the heli right (you can see that on landing), but with forward speed, the tail weathervaning will easily overcome that. The tail was completely shut off during these autorotations, however you can leave it on as well, allowing you to yaw to the right, but not to the left. There's no benefit to this though.
It really depends on the heli. Any heli that size with a driven tail and other gears has a lot of added mechanics drag that will slow down the rotor. This one literally is just a motor with a rotor connected to it, making it a breeze to sustain an autorotation with.
Tom Ralph thanks Tom! I think the Heli should handle crashes really well from what I have seen. The ones in the video were the only ones I had over my last 80 flights with it, but there's not really much to the heli that can actually break, so as long as you switch off the motor before impact and bleed off the RPM, there's a really good chance you can just pick it up and keep flying.
Nope, all good! Nothing missing as far as I can tell- little guy is tough as nails. All I had to do was bend the skid holders back slightly, otherwise it flies just like before.
@@Johnny31297 Impressive!! I take it the Logo 200 is (hardware wise) the same at the M2v2 apart from the FBL unit? i.e. same servos, main and tail motor? I don't fly VBar myself.
Didn’t know the little OMP M2v2 and/or the Logo 200 can do autorotations. Have to try it 😎
Looks like Fun. Thanks for sharing

Nice video, last part made me laugh too much!
Thank you Mariano, glad I could make you laugh! Also check out the autorotation video with the M2 EVO, autos so much better! 🥰

@@Twx97 If you also add the flight controller, yes. VBar can't handle the EVO tail for a lack of TALY.
@@Johnny31297 wait the evo uses a new flight controller?
@@Twx97 Same as the M2 V2, but both have TALY to improve tail performance, which VBar doesn't.
Crazy! Even I never tried an auto yet with it 😂
Can the onp m2 v2 do autos
Thanks for fails!
Difficile da fare anni fa sembrava impossibile. Complimenti per le molte riuscite e senza danni. Molto impressionante
Beautiful flying!

Love the fails :D
My blades didn't :P
I would never even think to try an auto with a heli this size. That is great.

@@Johnny31297 I am betting you may start seeing direct drive helis like the L200 in larger formats
@@raydash2898 The problem with that idea is that the torque needed to turn a large rotor requires a stator size that is weight-prohibitive.
👍
Looks so much fun, i know its hard to tell but how do you think this heli would handle crashes. Keep up the great flying.

Thanks Jonas, ik its hard question and thanks for your thoughts, love your flying man think everyone inspires to fly like you.
wieso machst`n alles auf englisch ? 🤔🤔🤔

Looks more like a controlled crash landing
If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing.
