Hi. Jet2 currently have 11 757’s in their fleet but these aircraft are getting old and are gradually being retired. It will be a shame when they are all gone. Jet2 currently use them to fly their seasonal Newark/New York flights - as they are the only aircraft in their fleet with the required range. I wonder what will happen to the service when the 757’s are gone.

The 11 757s will go to 8 757s by the end of this year. The rest are staying for a few more years yet :)

@@billyboo59 Newark Service is being replaced by A330, which will operate the flight from all UK bases except Leeds.

@@mayancho21 I had the situation in June, that the whole beach was mainly empty :D People were only at the direct beach of Alicante (direction towards Playa de San Juan)
