Kendahl is so right about cities. I live in cincinnati and there's nothing you can really do with no money and no car, even if you live downtown or OTR. You have to develop such a hard shell in cities. It's gotten to the point where I only leave my apartment for work and never without headphones. But it may just be the neurodivergency 😅
Being born and raised in NYC, it is tough if you don’t have money. It’s a challenge, but I’m so glad I’m from here. There’s truth behind the saying, if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere.

I am right there with you Sarah, and am also neurodivergent so maybe it is a thing but I have always felt this way, especially the example of what happens before birth- we don't know, it doesnt matter. My view is that you yourself make the meaning in your own life- i never understood people who need an outward validation/reason for living, ie the need for god or church...
omgg i agree so much about who cares about death. especially when people are scared that they'll be forgotten about or "what will my legacy be" who gives a shit ill be dead!! my theory is that its a straight man thing bc they don't have more important things to worry about
like i remember in grade 8 we had to do a what will my legacy be project and i just did not understand the concept at all
Same especially coming from a poor family, I had never thought of a legacy in that way. I thought it was like a Hollywood thing 😅
the reason why people were so against Nick Cannon having a fleet of children is because unlike Musk, he's a black man. and it does not matter how rich and successful a black man is, the moment he has children with more than one woman he's feeding into the baby daddy \baby mama stereotypes that many regular black families have to suffer through. Even though both are financially capable of taking care of their opposing soccer teams of children, Musk will be seen as a genius insuring his legacy while Nick will be another black man who couldnt keep it in his pants. Theres also the fact that Musk is seen as a tech genius (he's not) and Nick is known for his roles in black movies and his presence in Wild n Out. So some may forgive Musk's questionable behaviour while not doing the same for Nick. BTW i think none of them should have that many kids. too many to give enough attention to each and evry child without playing favourites. its a recipe for disaster.
I agree, but wasnt it kinda also bc Nick just kept getting women pregnant back to back and at least Elon has a somewhat consistent relationship with the women he impregnates?

I love living in NYC, I’ve been here about a year and a half. I grew up in Wisconsin and I’m an actor and there are so many more professional opportunities than in the Midwest. I love how frank and straightforward people are. I will say, NYC is what you make of it and there are tons of things to do beside drinking and partying, you just have to be resourceful.
