I've ordered from Walmart several times for my items to be shipped then out of the blue I get a notification from door dash that they are bringing something. When this happens I feel so bad because there is no way to tip them and I don't always have cash. I didn't ask for door dash to deliver anything to me. They should fix the system so we can tip.
You can ask them if they have a CASH app, PayPal ect to tip

They sent me to a pick up at what I thought was just an auto store. When I got there, it was a tire distributor. They wanted me to pick up four tractor tires and put in my SUV. I actually got it them to fit with the help of some great guys and only did it because the place dropping was close. But now they keep sending me that same place and I’m like no! I couldn’t use my rearview mirror or my side mirror because I couldn’t see through the tires. One was riding in the passenger seat with me. Was not worth it!!
Tip. When you can't find an item, use the website or ask customer service for a store map.

The base pay on orders is actually paid by the customer too, Customer pays Doordash and Doordash gives the drivers a cut from that so basically Doordash makes all profit
Oh yeah girl! I’m glad you called to complain, I was catfished by an order at Menard’s once. Here I show up for one item in my little Toyota Corolla and wouldn’t you know the item is a WHOLE FRIGGIN ATV!!!!!! I was livid, of course I had to call and cancel it and all that for a $12 no tip pick up for “1 item and 3.6 miles” 🧐

I deliver for Walmart and when I tell you these people are so entitled it’s ridiculous. Huge orders with 75 items and no tip. I stopped taking apartment orders altogether because I’m not climbing 3 flights of stairs multiple times for $7.

I used to work a security gate. It happens more often than naught. I have even done it manually on gate runners.

Sprouts is a very difficult store . I have learned the one I go too so I don’t have trouble finding things most of the time . I would’ve left too :)
I do not like Sprouts, but, I will say the employees are always willing to help
I know this was from a year ago, but I have to take screenshots on my Samsung S24 the same way by pressing the volume down button and the power button simultaneously. It's very annoying and something Samsung needs to correct. But I found that if I hold the phone in my palm and center my thumb in the gap between the two buttons and press, it gets the job done way easier.
Swear to god I did same at Sprouts over here. Left the cart just like you. I said I had an emergency. That store is ridiculous

I wouldn’t worry about those because the app will usually say that it is a merchant order meaning the order came thru the merchant website directly so no tip feature on their end usually
I took my first shopper order, it was only 5 items at Walgreens.. thought it would be easy peasy. Lol wrong! Took me 15 min cause I couldn’t find the damn children melatonin they wanted. What a pain in the ass

Mm you're awesome! I had a delivery that was leave at door, customer was outside. When I tried to complete the app said to call to arrange drop off😂 so I asked the guy he said he didn't do that. Must have been dd for some reason😮 hope you're having a good day

I have good and bad days, like any job. Today I lost a $35 Uber shop & pay cuz the store didn’t have the one single item the customer wanted... A small bottle of rum. 😭😭😭

I had an order for at home last week it turned out to be two huge cement birdbaths. Never again. I’m pretty sure they placed it on the Company website and there’s no option to tip. They have no idea that a doordash is bringing it. Same with Walgreens and CVS prescriptions. Those deliveries are not placed with doordash by the customer.They requested by CVS and Walgreens. I know that because I worked for Walgreens. You were very seldom get a tip on any of those prescription orders.

One of my first DoorDash orders was a stinkin' heavy and awkward bed frame from At Home. When I delivered it, I was glad I didn't drop it and embarrass myself. The customer was nice and gave me $20, a jelly bracelet, and a Jesus loves you sticker. 😂

Yeah. I gave up on large shopping orders at Sprouts. It was always such a pain.😂 I only go now there if it’s like 5 items or less.

Dude!!! I feel for you on that retail pick up that is absolutely BS. And then the customer or neighbor whoever that was a complete a hole. I can't believe DD right they do that for Petco too. The customer does not realize that the delivery is done 3rd party.
I was furious yesterday when Walmart wouldn't let me tip the driver. I ended up cancelling my Walmart + over it.
have some cash handy next time, thats what i do for the pizza guy and stuff, i have a bunch of 1 and 5 dollars bills in a drawer by the front door

My Sunday was full of grocery orders and that At Home delivery was hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂 that has happened to me.
They just introduced the 3 tier Dasher rewards in my area (Raleigh, NC) and I came out as Platinum! So excited to see how this helps me.

Sprouts is difficult. I dont do them. My rule is $1 per item, I have to shop.

I am with you regarding that patio furniture. I have gotten orders for a set of 4 tires- had literally no idea this was even a thing. I REFUSE to ever do that again. I have a small car, and it’s not equipped to carry 4 tires in my backseat or trunk. That’s just ridiculous
Kinda cool being able to watch someone doing the grid in an area I lived in 17yrs.
After 35yrs doing delivery work I'm sure this will be a no brainer. All set to go w/ UE but been too ill to get the ball rolling. Not feeling well on top of the FL doesn't make for a good mix of being productive that's for sure.

I never deliver Party city items, some have tip hut but they just aren't worth the time and effort, Tip when having 2 items and 1 is out of stock, If the items are the same price you don't have to replace or substitute, as long as the costumer approves just mark as found and move forward, Have done so many Shop and deliver that I just rush thru them.
Roflmao at the box. I remember the first time I delivered a double pack of duraflame logs along with a full grocery order on Instacart. I called support and told them it was an ikea log cabin for which they gave me an extra $5 🤣
I just decline them now!!! Cant trust weird orders barely can make it thru shopping orders!!

Just some food for thought... i dont think most people think to tip for a delivery (like 'at home') that has a delivery fee thinking it is one of the stores employees and that is their job, like i dont tip the prime, fed ex, ups, lowes, home depot delivery drivers.

They placed the order through at home. I guarantee there was no place to enter a tip. It goes from at home to door dash and one can't transfer to another. She probably didn't even know it was going to be brought from the store. She probably thought it was coming by FedEx or ups. That's what happens to me when I order from some other places. They don't want to package it and have UPS deliver it so they contract with doordash to save lots of money.
Customers don't make sense. Pick the right choice please!!
One time, I ordered an item from Best Buy and it said it was same day delivery. I paid a little extra for same day, and doordash delivered it to me. There was no option to tip. This was a year ago though

What I did was get one of the available and 1 of the other and just mark that I got both of the same since I discussed with customer and it went thru 👍
Great job!! I wouldn’t take it personally with what the gentleman did, I would have done the same if I was living in a gated community because it is risky he had no idea who he was letting in so it is not personal as for the tip, he may not have seen the option to tip on the order, it could be a new service too, but I know it was unpleasant experience but if you spot such orders in the future with little to no information, you can decline it until they have a better way of displaying some information

You can change your settings on how to take a screenshot. You can even change it to just double tap the back of your phone if you have an iphone. 🙂 That is insane how they do the store delivery and just ridiculous for how people can tip. 😒
When there is only one of 2 items type in 2 then add the other as long as its not more expensive than the original

I just got my smart serve here in Canada to be able to deliver alcohol so waiting on Doordash to get their act together in my market as I haven't had an alcohol order yet. What a difference a market makes. Your offers suck and decline as many as i accept in a shift. Did you get heavy pay for the patio set?
