Yes, it means ki agar creditor principal debtor ki liability reduce krta hai (for any terms and conditions between them) to surety ki liability bhi automatically reduce ho jaegi.

if principal borrower take 10lakhs loan from bank and give security of something which value 2 lakhs rupees.
Borrower made default
And if lakmans paid 10lakhs rupees why dnt he get security back
Why he have to paid half of security again???
