Well done to you both a great review and tour of the hotel it looks absolutely great and love the pools and beach just the place to relax looks like you both had an amazing time
@@JonCoupland we are trying to book something for the week of the April 13-20 we got a cross you excelente vídeo, checking two riu’s Riu palace Riviera maya or Riu palace Mexico, thank you again.
It is fantastic, we stayed in June last year and are going to the riu palace riviera maya this time in May, we will be popping back to the palace to say hello to some of the waiters who are brilliant, you will not be disappointed,
Cheers Jon, thank you for taking the time to share this video. I've been to PDC many times, but never a Riu so this really helped. We leave in three weeks, an escape from snowy Chicago, can't wait.
My husband and I have been going to the RPM for the past 13 years and at times twice a year, we love this place and the staff are excellent, thank you for sharing this video it truly makes me homesick for the RPM and brought tears to my eyes, this is the first year that we will not be returning, enjoy the rest of your stay.
Great video. Very informative. Thanks! My husband and I are going to the RPM end of October 2023 and we are really looking forward to it. We were wondering about the tipping. How much and how often did you tip? We do not have any experience with tipping in an all-in resort so your advice would be very much appreciated
Great video thank you. We've stayed just up the road at Riu Playacar three times and love it there but we were wondering what this hotel is like. I think I might give this place a whirl, however lots of aspects are like Playacar. We always stay in block 7 or 8 so the rooms are just as good, minus the bath. I like the look of grandeur at the entrance here and that its close to Tequila for their party nights. I love the Playacar area and that you're able to walk to 5th Ave.
Great video ! We stayed there for 5 nites last December, and I could smoke while having cocktail while watching the shows! Since mexico passed a non-smoking anywhere I was wondering if they still have designated smoking areas
Hi Jon, how do you think RPM compares to Riu Playacar, UK pricing shows RPM at 20% higher/ 300 quid for a week, or 100 per person more for 3 of us. Worth it?
we went and had a wander around Playacar, it seemed more ... hectic? ... than RPM - obviously we didnt stay in the rooms but from speaking to people if you can afford to pay that wee bit extra, i think its worth it!
@@luvadealme I have stayed a several RIU palaces, and they are most definitely worth the extra cost. We will be going to this RIU Palace Mexico end of July for 10 nights...can't wait! The food offerings at the Palace resorts are a bit better, the booze quality is a bit better, having the coffee bar is nice, and the service at a Palace is always the best. We stayed at RIU Palace Peninsula in 2020 and went over to RIU Caribe next door to check it out. It's a lovely place, but the food offerings and overall feel were not near what the Peninsula had. If you choose the Palace, you can go to the other RIU properties and compare. All RIU hotels are good, it's just that the Palace is their best.
Hi Tony, thanks for the kind words about or video - we did book an excursion. We booked with TUI via the app (not sure who you are flying with) and we booked the 1/2 day Cave Swimming and Turtle Swimming (which was fantastic!). It cost us £70 per person with an in app discount code of APP10 :)
@@tonypark9845 I was there last week, we found TUI to be a bit expensive, if you go out the palace take a right there are some shops, there are little stands that do excursions and they do them cheaper than TUI, ask the TUI rep for the price list and you can compare with locals, fully legit I done like 5 with them
@@bonniebadboi thanks mate. Yes I've read that over the last few days. I think it's mkt tours 'the hut' at the little shopping area across from the riu hotels. Thanks again M23 .
Great video my man, W. will be here MAY 2023... We went to BREATHLESS CANCUN july 2021, bad experience, food was sub-par and the BIGGEST turn-off was that all the staff/employees expected a tip... Did you encounter this here? I am not opposed to tipping for good service, just not use to it at a ALL-INCLUSIVE resort...
