You can kinda block the damage from the broodmother's scream by holding and blocking with a shield. However, this will still not stop the debuff or stun from happening. One more tip is to use spicy staff against broodmother spawns since most of them aren't infused, and it'll kill them fairly quickly.
Would you swap stuff around to use termite armor instead of broodmother helmet against infected broodmother since she is immune to venom? Or is it more for the defense that u get?
The dots don't look like they are doing hardly anything. I can barely see the bar moving at all when you aren't actively attacking. Makes me think only the corrosion is worth it. Edit: I would definitely rethink your armor setup, especially against the Infected Broodmother since her resistances make the dots useless.
For mutations, I personally put chopper, buff lungs, cardio fan, trapper peeper, and coup de grass. Constantly being able to swing with buff lungs is really good
Buff lungs and cardio fan are horrible because chopper already gives you a buff that negates the exaustion time on phase 3, making you instantly regenerate your stamina, you can use damage reduction depending on the enemy or more damage increase

I found a cone that adds Implant Weaknes: Fresh, Fresh damage up: Major, and Damage Resistance. Now it's the only cone I use with my Frosted Flake. Highly recommend trying to find something like that!

I would say another way to make this build better is to get a trinket with implant weakness of whatever element your battle axe is (fresh is most common).
@@CDiinky ah ok, thanks for the info. I did think it was odd because sometimes I absolutely shredded through certain enemies that we resistant to fresh, and enemies who were weak did not die as quick.

The mint mace is still the best fresh weapon generally acid edge is the best sour weapon and a good spicy weapon is the blazing edge salty is either the broodmother club or the salt chipper

Late to answer. The best way is the sausager with the t3 glowbasa necklaces. Unlock it by infecting all the ant queens asap. For science cones, farm t3 bugs, and if possible an easier boss like the Broodmother or Mantis. But Glowbasa necklaces are easier as you can load up a whole bunch at once and save scum until you get something good.
fire ant or the assassin, there’s no armor set that increases your crit damage if I’m not mistaken, but fire ant’s corrosion lowers the enemies attack damage (using chopper with an axe, goes hand in hand as it lowers the enemies defense). Assassin armor is good because of crit bleeds, only go bulky because you’re rarely going to get crit stuns.
Does putting on more fire ant armor make corrosion stronger? And could you replace the leggings with Widow leggings since you have to crit to get bleed?
Why do you use bulky on the fire ant and assassin armor is it better than using it down sleek? Currently ive been using the assassin's mask sleek chest of the mother deamon sleek and fire and leggings sleek with a lvl 9 sour ant lion great sword and its been tearing the yard up
The sleek effect for fire ant does not work unless you use the full set, the sleek mantis crit stun is not needed as the stun on the battleaxe is already max

I don't understand the insistence of so many people to use the broodmother mask. Poison doesn't scale so even by NG+1 poison barely affects the damage. I'd rather use fire ant helmet and termite chest plate or full widow.
If you want to get the Go big again and Super win trophies do you need to complete the bosses again in ng+? The bosses are needed for 100% but is that including defeating them again in ng+?
Me running around with one weapon. The salty morning star. With a trinket containing starcrusher, salty damage up best, and implant weakness salt. Nothing resists my weapons damage so I have no need for any other weapon. Just obliterates everything and I use barbarian with it.

What, no mention for the biggest contributor to damage output of your gear set? That being the timesink and grind necessary to level your axe/axes. Picking the right ng to focus you weapon level grind is also important. NG2 minimum but better if you push to 3.

i love battle axes but i would go full fire ant i think the set bonus and sleek bonuses are underrated and i dont really like damage over time and acid procs so often with how fast the battle axes are but thats just my opinion also broodmother is resistant to chopping by 25% not 50% and with chopper she is resistant to chopping by only 5%
@@felixamin598 Yeah, no idea why they're even in the RNG pool. Quite possibly some of the most useless effects except maybe Black Widows but even then you can just get a trinket with a bunch of Sour roles and it'll out perform it. If it was 25% then I'd see them being more usable but this whole update needs some major balance changes so anything could change in time.

The NEW patch changed the battleaxes. The "Flake" Axes have Stamina Surge NOT the attack speed buff, The "Edge" Axes have the attack speed buff!

For brood mother I ways take a spicy staff cause it destroys all her spawns

All builds i create are also good for around the yard. I just use boss fights to show the damage

buff lungs isn’t really good once you get a lot of milk molars though

I got a fresh damage up best, implant weakness fresh, aaaanndd summon thorns. The last one sucks.
make sure you check that is a real fresh weakness. because currently both sour and salt weakness display as fresh weakness.

Not too sure how the implant weakness works right now. Some say its bugged others said not so i decided not to add it in here
Some fresh implant trinket are displayed fresh but are actually salt or sour. SO it requirees hard testing. That's why cdinky chosed to not use them.

Problem with this build its completely luck based. I have gotten extremely unlucky with my cones and the grind it takes to max out a weapon is crazy
That is the problem with most builds.
All builds in NG are luck based im afraid
Hope they reduce the amount of RNG and silly grinding you have to do for an average build that doesn’t even hold up later into ng+ or on woah mode

the broodmother scream is possible but it is really hard to parry it though

This is a good set but not needed too much imo, i prefer more extra effects and debuffs to the creatures

The crucial aspect of these builds is the trinkets. Ultimately, Grounded success now mostly comes from RNG, not skill or accomplishment. Sucks.
