Well thank you for really reaching out to the beginner and allowing us to understand at this level, I was able to follow you fairly easily as opposed to others who claim they are doing a video for the beginner and really they are only showing off how proficient they are with Android Studio, and gloss over important steps along the way which are needed for the beginner to really understand the process.that is the difference between teaching and showing

I followed the steps but I stucked at a point. when you type the following: private EditText num1; when I type it: private edittext num1; The program cannot handle my "edittext" I moved the mouse above the line and it says: "Expecting member declaration" What does it mean? Why the program cannot handle edittext as EditText, if you understand me how I mean it. Thank you
Can you recommend any Android Studio Flamingo absolute beginners, overview and first project, tutorials? I'm a software engineer with decades of experience with Visual Studio and long ago versions of Android Studio, but all of the beginners videos for Android Studio on RUclips are for much prior versions of Android Studio (not Flamingo) and either expect the viewer to already know the features and UI for that prior version, or simply talk about features, UI elements, menus, and so on that do not exist in the latest, Flamingo, version. I really need some beginner tutorials for the Flamingo version itself, so that the lesson relates to exactly what I see in the Flamingo version. Thank you.
