You know when a band are really good and people say of their gig “it was as good as the record” imagine how good you have to be to be “ better than the record”. Unbelievable performance.
I remember watching this live on The Panel and being *completely* blown away by the arrangement. Quite possibly a superior version to the studio version, and that's saying something.
Singer was a rabid public anti nuclear protestor. He joined a political party, got into government and supported uranium mining. He must have had a short memory. But the public doesn't.
um.. beautiful, but howcome _nobody_ seems to have noticed the bass is missing altogether - there's a whole 'nother figure that just rounds out the whole thing, and it's weird not having bh in there... am i going deaf, or something..?
So damn clever - one of my fav live performances ever …. What a stellar band and very talented musicians and PG, song writer…..

Agreed, the original was good, this was just something else
Absolutely agree! I have the Panel CD which includes it. Never tire of listening to it!
it can't be better than this. this song has changed my life
One of my fav The Panel music moments.
This arrangement of the song is hauntingly beautiful.
I loved the live music on the panel. If a band can't perform live, they're not worth listening too.
fucking fantastic - jeez they got some good performances on The Panel
one of the best songs in the world
best version
'tis a killer! goose-bumps stuff...
Yep, agreed. I reckon this version is better than the original too.
great TV show, brilliant performance.... better than the original

I'm 8 years late here, but the third guitar is an acoustic bass. Notice the 4 machine heads.
that was real
You've failed at politics Peter but hell mate , you can get the Oil back together ANYTIME !!!!!!!!!!!
Peter G, you should not forget you were on the right bloody track politically before you got ALP'd.
Short memory indeed???
