The historic but largely symbolic move further deepens Israel’s isolation more than seven months into its grinding war against Hamas in Gaza. Israel immediately denounced Wednesday's decisions and recalled its ambassadors to the three countries.

I am Slovakian living in Ireland, and I think now it is not the right time to recognize Palestinian state. Ireland is 'selling' its own soul and unique culture by allowing single men from middle east and africa to claim 'fake asylum' despite serious domestic problems with housing, affordable housing, healthcare. Naive approach. Fair love is tough love. Ireland is a soft spot. Irish mammies have been doing an excellent job (being sarcastic). Selling its own culture for a big money - fake heart, fake emphathy. I have worked hard, tried to adapt and respect local culture. I have tried to embrace different cultures here - but it came to a highly saturated point. Humans are highly tribal, young age is prone to openness, new experiences, flexibility, but as we get older we tend to lean to what is familiar, what is easy to tolerate and receive. Love has its limits.
