@@douglasthompson296 Hi again Doug, thanks for the info. Yes, I used to like hiring a car for the duration of a holiday and then I could get out and about exploring other areas, but I’ve heard the rental prices now are ridiculous.
Another lovely video wee Caoimhin and think most holiday destinations have their high end areas to go with usual spots that have never been updated but you give us that exact information so a credit to you. Meloneras, Playa del inglés, Maspalomas and San Agustin are all villages within the larger town of San Bartolomé. They’re all connected by beach. When you pass the lighthouse it’s the beginning of Maspalomas Beach. Meloneras is only about 15 years old and hence physically nicer, but it’s all hotels and not many apartments and bungalows.
Well wee Kev.I.N, I have to say I'm surprised how the Meloneras area has developed into a resort of its own. I now realise why some friends have now started to visit there. Cheers DougT
The palocortado outside area to the right of the main restaurant is family friendly and the food is really good (for a treat). You can walk into both the Lopesan Melonares and the Riu Melonares (the 5 star one) and sit to enjoy the live entertainment without getting stopped by security. The Riu has a touch-screen board in reception which shows you all the weeks live shows. The best live entertainment is inside the Riu 4-star but you can't walk in as its AI. The live cabaret show outside Cafe Del Mar is visible after dark from outside the venue and well worth a quick film.

Get a wee huwai dongle. You be shocked how good they are everywhere. Size of a small bar of soap. 1/4 of the wieght.just needs youre simm and youre sorted
@@ScotsmaninTenerife theres a few on ebay . A paid 30 but theres a few huwai mobile wifi dongles for half that. A used to use it for my youtube at home. Its that fast. Only links a know about are the ones in a roll lol. Seen two for 12 and 15 quid .good luck. Love all youre hard work kev.
