Excellent, Baba gave everything here, he didn't hold back, thank you for being so generous people need to know these things. Ifa is a commitment, it is not a play thing

Aboru Aboye Abosise, Thank you for your messages. Is it true that only a Babalawo can complete initiations? If so, why? Also what all is Iyanifa able to do?
Agbo ato o. Only babalawo can perform Ifa initiations. Apetebii play a particular role in Ifa initiations. Only Olorisa can perform orisa initiations. I hope this answers your question.
I really want to be initiated and I’m having so much trouble finding out how to start please help me I live in Louisiana and there’s a calling on my soul for this path Asé
forget about being initiated. that is the best way to get scammed. focus on optimizing your natural gifts and talents. establish your devotional practice. then, if you're DESTINED to be initiated, it will come to pass.
there are many ways for you to be a useful devotee without being initiated. i would recommend that you read my book, the fundamentals of orisa lifestyle, to get a comprehensive overview of the tradition. you can get it at obafemio.com/publications. likewise, you will benefit from my course, intro to yoruba spirituality. you can enroll at obafemio.com/classes
I have a question what if you had received the hand of ifa years ago and you have left the path for a long time and the awos that you received the hand of ifa no longer around what to do if you wish to return to the path
Am i too old to come to Ifa? ill be 60in a few months and i am far away from initiation, im just beginning my journey. Is it too late of me to come to Ifa?
Ifa priesthood is unlikely at 60 but devotion is fully available. With the wisdom you have cultivated at this point, you could do well as a devotee who paved the way for younger devotees to become priests.
this is not a fearful question. it is a wise question. ifa says, when we awaken in the morning, we should teach one another wisdom and not lay the foundation of madness. whatever questions we have, we should discuss with one another. then, if we cannot come to a solution, we should consult ifa... that is the holy odu oturupon wonnifa.
Thanks for this awesome presentation.

I was told by an Oba that I couldn't be initiated because of my health. I'm still learning as much as I can but how can I still be useful w/o that?

I have a question what if you had received the hand of ifa years ago and you have left the path for a long time and the awos that you received the hand of ifa no longer around what to do if you wish to return to the path
Is Oro-Osun the same as Ifa Initiation, If No sir, which one should i do first
Ifa is first
Am i too old to come to Ifa? ill be 60in a few months and i am far away from initiation, im just beginning my journey. Is it too late of me to come to Ifa?
Ifa priesthood is unlikely at 60 but devotion is fully available. With the wisdom you have cultivated at this point, you could do well as a devotee who paved the way for younger devotees to become priests.
…and that’s where I see myself, as a devotee. I’m coming to Ifa with the desire to teach, finish my studies and guide the young.
I got a question what is the difference between a African ancestry reading and ifa ancestry roots reading?
i do not know what either of those are. i know that they are popular among some circles. but i am not directly familiar with the practice.
Will I HAVE to be initiated to get my head Orisha?
Ori is your head orisa.
Is it ok to be a novice and just practice Ifa but not be initiated or get hand of Ifa?
What are you afraid of? Orunmila in your life can only make it better.
yes, that is fine. the chief addresses that in the video as well.
this is not a fearful question. it is a wise question. ifa says, when we awaken in the morning, we should teach one another wisdom and not lay the foundation of madness. whatever questions we have, we should discuss with one another. then, if we cannot come to a solution, we should consult ifa... that is the holy odu oturupon wonnifa.
So do you get initiated for orisha first or Ifa?
Ifa
At age of 50 is it to late to get initiated
For what reason?
Yes them people need their respect! I see a lot of leaches out there that can care less. Sickening
