Best mod out there, but it still needs a lot of work. When you run the game for the first time it will take around 40 mins for the start menu to load because of the shaders.... and after that you still need to run option "shaders something" if u don't, you will get 5 mins loading times before each battle and bunch of crashes. So it takes about 2 hours just to run the game, lol....
I am a big fan of banner lord and total war series, so for me this is heaven.
this shaders something is 20min for me on samsung pro evo 970 ssd so thats so slow they really need to change it
They need to get rid of atleast some of the shaders. Shaders can be cool but if it costs you so much waiting time, it's not worth it

@@ravendeafening192 I mean... The Game of Thrones mod is going to have actual Dragons. The Land of Sika included its own custom settlement building system. Mount and Blade modders are wild.

@@ArcAngle1117 those things like dragons and anything more than infantry looked hideous. But in this game it could actually work. I mean mods in any game cant compare to mount and blade, its kinda insane.
I believe the devs are going to add everything they want into the game and then add optimization because with most games when they add fixes and new content those fixes can become irrelevant and in the end a waste of time

idk why people are having the loading issue, on my first load it took maybe 2 mins max now it takes maybe 15 seconds
they need to optimize it and get rid of alot of the minor shaders and only keep the ones that are really needed
The base game doesn't look terrible anyway. No need to bloat out everything with shaders to make it a bit better. It's nice but it's not worth it for its cost

15:00 Its a native bug, happens with or without bugs, lords just stuck on villages trying to recruit, blame Taleworlds for delivering such a broken and unbaked game for 60 bucks. No amount of mods will hide their poor game design lol
its so weird to see this, I won't lie my computer isn't as strong compared to Tommy (i7-12700k +3080ti) but it is on the higher end of computer specs and I nearly did not face as many issues with shaders as Tommy did. Granted I did try the month 2-3 months so maybe something changed but it only took the shader loading and 1crash while opening and I was able to play the game without many lag spikes or issues with shaders having to load as most were cleared within the first second of entering an area or battle. I do agree though that the optimization is terrible and if they plan on expanding the game world, they should focus on optimization first

Good mod, I got artillery from Nurn and had a musketeer army fighting chaos warriors and vampires, pretty fun
maybe if he didn't throw other mods in there his first time playing it would've been fine
Mod runs great u just need to build chader cache, still bunch of crashes tho
unpopular opinion: both ck3 and bannerlords are only good with overhaul mods

Tommy what ever happened to your nordic campaign from like a year ago
Eagle Rising is stable, it's the only mod I ever use, no other mod is nearly as good yet.
Any news on when they will add the Germanic tribes to replace the Nords? Or is there a mod where we can edit the vanilla troop tree with current Items?
Swandia armory is great. It just adds armors, but I love wester heavy knights.

I know it is a bit late to response, but I just can't let it stand that you say the mod is unstable, I one of the Devs and I`m sorry that you have these Problems, but as far as I can see the crashes are your own fault because you using other mods with our, we say everywhere that using other mods together with our is on own risk because we are not looking for compatibility, do once other mods are not in our responsibility and also we are planning to change so much that almost no other mod will work with our (a lot of them will also not be needed because of planned similar functions), as for the shaders, that is also not on us, when we could we would change that, but that is a hardcoded engine thing where we have no acces to, so TaleWorlds have to fix that, they know now a longer time that this Problem exist, but still have not change something on it, ^^
if you now already know this stuff then it's fine, form some of your words I assume you are German, I`m German too, so I know how much we love to rent, XD but I just write it then for others that then read it because even it was so often ask and said why there are still people that daily ask even we have it stand everywhere ^^
Shader issue is only with your mod, no other mod. Either use less shaders or stop capping because if it was a hard coded problem, the game of thrones mod, warcraft mod and more would also have the same issue but they dont.

I have a theory why games nowadays are laggier and so on. Back in the days, game programmers were system engineers, sysdevs, cream of the crop nerds who programmed through trial and error, learning it from the ground up. Now we have young people, straight out of school, who studied "Game programming" or some shit like that.
As a sysdev myself who has dabbled in some game making, things are different. For work I code and make sure things will work, even if other things break, the code shalleth still worketh. We have lots of redundancies, fallbacks, other types of error handling etc. In game programming, shit barely exists (obviously it does, but how many times haven't you had a crash because a sound file couldn't load or something mundane like that)
great point. Warband (and originally Mount and blade) was made by two people and was built from the ground up (with lots of love from the community helping out) and so runs far far better. When Bannerlord was announced they hired a team of "game developers" who probably don't have the experience they did with the engine and gamebuilding, and so it makes sense why Bannerlord is so fucked compared to Warband. So many things are all over the place, held together by the virtue of duct tape programming...

the shader thing is so annoying. literally took over an hour to start the game, then another hour to build the shaders, and even then it keeps giving me that shader shit in game. Great mod but that ruins it

Awesome mod, too bad its unplayable :)
it is playable he just didnt read what you need to do when installing it (download shader cash) so you dont have long waits. i run it perfectly on my 900$ USD 4 year old pc
