Love these videos! The time and effort you put in while still being a full time Worship Pastor is super encouraging. You’re doing Kingdom Work, keep it up!!
Greetings from the Bethany First Church of the Nazarene production team. I appreciate your candid nature about all that is involved in Worship/Production. Keep up the good work!
14:56 Ok so no joke I've been digging into how to hang a couple lights for like two weeks now and this is pretty much exactly how I had decided to do it. Cool to see I wasn't totally off base as a total noob lighting guy 😂 seeing this video two weeks ago would have saved me a lot of time though
@@budget-church-livestreaming I mean I hesitate to even put that in there because I’m not a licensed and bonded “rigger”. But that is how the people i asked who are told me to do it. And I examined other hangs in our building we’ve paid people to do. For dead hang stuff that isnt carrying much weight, I have no worries.
@@RylandRussell Yeah, I feel that. Honestly feels kinda hard to mess that type of rig up though, and it looked good to my non-trained eyes (famous last words).
Great video Ryland! Question on your stream audio mix. Sounds really good, are you sending things to logic first and processing then sending to broadcast? Curious what you are running on your vocal chain, sounds great!
Hey Ryland i got a question for you i have been a volunteer at my church for about 7 years and i handle all the lighting audio and video on a Sunday now i feel like it has got to a point where it is almost a full time job i just want to know how do i go about telling them i feel like i should be compensated without coming off as ungrateful would love to hear what you have to say
I just don’t see a full time need here. I’ve been leading music for 30 years and just recently get a stipend for leading on Sunday. I do all of this after work during the week for a couple of hours.
@@samf6733 teach your productivity ways! You pack what takes me 50+ hours a week into two hours!! I count it a blessing that I am able to be full time, I've lived the "part time minister" life before and it's tough. I realize that part time or volunteer is MOST worship leaders realities. thanks for watching!
Sam I think you may be missing the fact that there’s more that goes into building a sustainable worship / creative team than just completing a few tasks throughout the week. There’s a lot of value in having someone full time to help build culture, improve processes, program services, and carrying the vision of the church to name a few I can’t imagine fixing lighting, improving auditorium mixes, and filming all from home but it could depend on the scale of your church. This video points out all the work that is put in throughout the week to dispel the idea that worship pastors only need to work a few days a week when truly what is seen on a Sunday is a small portion of the larger picture
@ I do all those things you mention at the church. Those hours I spend are at the church not from home. I’m a pastors kid so I guess I just see things different. I’ve led multiple teams and multiple services and I’ve also led small teams with a church plant. We currently going through a church remodel with new avl and that has added some time but nothing that warrants full time. I live in an area were music leaders can make 75k-150k and don’t do half of what this guy does.
@@samf6733 that’s fair, maybe our ideas of what’s warranted are different. From what Ryland seems to be doing I would want to be compensated a full time salary for that level of commitment and from the church’s stand point I see value in having someone in the office everyday to have a pulse on everything I pray God would continue to do exceedingly and abundantly things through you at your church and in your home regardless of the hours put in!
That’s nothing! My pastor frequently practices archery in the sanctuary! He’s got the youth pastor involved with now but so far everyone stays far far away when the youth pastor practices. 🤣
LOL, well I'm wayyy behind because I'm on a stable version. Wanted to wait until after Christmas but now I'm waiting for this next release to come out of Beta.

15:18 was unexpected but I dig it!😂 ‘Merica
🥳 It was unexpected for me as well! LOL not the usual scene in the conference room.
First!!! 🔥 I plan on watching the entire 32 minutes by the way!!! Just had to be FIRST!!!
love it brother. Blessings
Great video Ryland,
Congrats for keeping it up and being consistent, great encouragement.
God bless.
Thanks so much!

What software do you use to edit your videos? Very nice
I'm a premiere guy, just because it's what I've always used. Thanks!

DC Pro is the best. We use them for anything we need if we cant handle it. We've got a guy with them in our church.
That's awesome!
Nice video
