This video is extremely comprehensive and provides so much valuable information on how to approach the process. I've often felt overwhelmed and hopeless about the process, but this makes the searching more possible and realistic. Thank you!

Thank you so much. I am a disciple of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We actually take the names of ancestors of ours and do the work for them in our temple. I have such a hard time but also gave up before I really dug my heels in!
    God bless you

Very informative. A couple of years ago, I found a family tree detailing a lot of my father's side (his mother and father hailed from Golden Fleece and Novar, respectively with both having connections to Dundee). It does seem overwhelming but the amount of information is endless

Wonderful to hear. If you don't mind me asking, what is your family surnames? I'm somewhat familiar with a number of families in Guyana

@@najhchronicles I've just sent off the ancestry DNA tests for myself and my mum so see what they will show. I've only just read that indentured servants were also came form Indonesia, Java, Mauritius and ? Malaysia. We always assumed the Surinamese Chinese Dutch were from China and the Indian from India, but we will see!

My Surname is Wong ..its from my Dad's side ..My Mum was Madray from India I think..There is some African too..I got DNA test for my daughter and started a tree but I feel it's just too complicated. I want to know why a Chinaman would leave China to work in Guyana..I can't fathom it at all. Thansk for the Vid..it really helps to see what's involved
