03:05 there’s more to it than that. I think when Walt made this statement so early in their journey and Jesse’s speechless reaction afterwards, it was just another nod to Walt’s ‘moral fracture’ and ultimate duality, which turns out to be the epicenter of the breaking bad series; Walt was an unfinished man that due to a series of unfortunate events in his life, and a few assholes along the way, needed completion. Think about it, All the things Walt told Jesse he should do to better himself, Walt had already done. College..all that. It was after Jesse reassured him that his family would be taken care of, to which Walt seemed genuinely relieved, that he made this statement to Jesse which basically said “you don’t know this man’s angle...it’s deeper than you think” Because of this...people warned Jesse that Walt was a ticking time bomb but I honestly think Jesse likened Walt to his cancer-weary, deceased relative who loved him unconditionally- seen in photographs earlier in the series or just a father figure he didn’t have.
Didn't see it until last night's AMC premiere. But wow: "El Camino" just floored me. So grateful that Jesse has that...second chance. And thank you, "Looper," for this wonderful piece.
It was a perfect conclusion to Jesse’s story and put a wrap on one of the greatest shows of all time. I can’t recall a show with a great episode every single episode outside of Fly lol
@@whyteytheplug2875 Walter had given them each like $10,000 or even $100,000 to point the laser pointers at Elliott and Gretchen. I imagine they probably still were sitting on some of that money considering they had seen Walter like the day before they saw Jesse, chronologically speaking. So my guess is they each handed Jesse like $3-4k, that's about the amount it looked like anyway.
@@vegasvandough I wonder if they can make anything else with Jesse. Maybe he's found and running from the law again. Or being hunted by a cartel. Or, whittling wood in Bob Ross esque episodes. Maybe even building a log cabin in an Alaska based show on Discovery Channel. There must be a Gustavo based show coming though. I hope at least. I mean, the possibilities really are endless.
This finally brought closure to part of the story after so long! Breaking bad was a great show. El Camino was a great movie. Would be awesome if they did a follow up on walt's family.
One thing worth noting: the film’s story begins with Jesse screaming at the top of his lungs while driving the loud El Camino, but ends with him driving in complete and utter silence
Finishing that movie left me in a state of sadness, the feeling of missing someone, especially that flashback of Walt. Oh man, I kinda regret watching that movie.
I never realised the colour thing that's amazing especially the white sweater in the end. It's telling a whole other story for people, even gus and how is original appearance is more friendly but over time you see him for how ruthless he truly is
Fun Fact: When Jesse went to Ed the Dissapearer he said: "I'm 96% sure........." you know what else was 96%? The purity of his meth batch he made in Mexico to show the cartel how it's done.
I live in Alaska. Big cities pretty spread out from each other. He’s 40 miles away from Haines AK with a population of about 2,000. These areas are pretty remote, and if he lays low for a couple months, I’d say he’s good to go. He should avoid places like Anchorage or Fairbanks though.
I think this means a story of hope, how old was Jesse? I think it shows even when a lot doesnt go to plan its apart of the mistakes others make too and sometimes it only takes a small change at once just to make enough difference between the past and the future.
I see it as a story of hope too. Mike said something to Jesse that if he was young, he'd go to Alaska. Jesse is still young, and while he's alone now, that doesn't have to always be the case. Vaccum guy remarked he thought Jesse could use some quiet, and that's exactly right. A quiet place, a spot out of the storm to start healing and re-building. Jesse has a lot to heal from, but I like to think he eventually finds some peace.
Best ending I could think of. Very well done! Of course it must hurt him to let all behind and knowing, that there's no way back. But at least he can let everything go and start a new live in peace. Makes me sad and happy at the same time.
Dont get me wrong it's a good movie with a nice ending but it could have been much better and if I'm being honest they went a little overboard with the flashbacks and actor who plays todd has not aged well and hes quite fat
@@beatsgamer9918 I see what you mean but the real actor who played tod gain some weight and in the movie I think jesse is now suffering PTSD because of what the Neo Nazi had done to him. Because he was traumatized of what the neo nazi had done to him.
Rest in Peace Robert Forster, 10/11/19
He protec
He attack
But most importantly
He free from jack
I’m checking old fridge doors for now on. 🤷🏽♂️😂
Fly was a really good episode. It dives deeper into characters and their chemistry with each other.
We need Skinny Pete & Badger spinoff series
Too b honest they must b cookin or something bc they gave jesse alot of money. So who knows?
No....
@@voteZDLR That's what I was thinking.
This movie was just like a really longgg episode of breaking bad. This should’ve been the last episode of breaking bad tbh!
Yes thats what i thought too
Same..
It basically is though.
Yeah it pretty much is.😂
@@vegasvandough I wonder if they can make anything else with Jesse.
The way you pronounce “Ehrmantraut” haunts me.
Ian Smith 😫
This finally brought closure to part of the story after so long! Breaking bad was a great show. El Camino was a great movie. Would be awesome if they did a follow up on walt's family.
3 quotes from the movie
"Life is what we make it."
"We make our own luck."
The Qoute at the end.
Great message
Wow! Just watched El Camino last night and now he’s gone. RIP ED....
Fun fact in the diner scene with Jesse&Walt the guy that pours the water IS the kid who played brock
Is it?????
Yep
Loved that jane/walter white flashback 🤗
Thanks for feeling the need to explain this to me.
Thank you for this "explanation." Cleared a lot of things up for me.
I had goosebumps the entire movie
One thing worth noting: the film’s story begins with Jesse screaming at the top of his lungs while driving the loud El Camino, but ends with him driving in complete and utter silence
Damn Heisenberg actually died. It's so crazy and then Jesse actually finds peace
Truthful Hat257 well yeah
@@stellaconnacher5889 well yeah
@@jimmyr7995 well yeah
Finishing that movie left me in a state of sadness, the feeling of missing someone, especially that flashback of Walt. Oh man, I kinda regret watching that movie.
What's crazy is the actor that plays Ed just died from brain cancer on the day of release (today). RIP vacuum guy. You were awesome in Jackie Brown.
Everyone talking about todd being fat but no one is talking about walter's head being bigger
facts
In the series, it was like Badger and Pete were there with Jesse only for the money
In El Camino we get to see how strong and real the friendship was
No one gone mention how massive walts head is? No?
Everyone's head is massive.
I noticed that, bald cap on
I never realised the colour thing that's amazing especially the white sweater in the end. It's telling a whole other story for people, even gus and how is original appearance is more friendly but over time you see him for how ruthless he truly is
Fun Fact:
When Jesse went to Ed the Dissapearer he said: "I'm 96% sure........." you know what else was 96%? The purity of his meth batch he made in Mexico to show the cartel how it's done.
Wouldn't he still be recognized? Alaska's still the USA, they've got TV's.
RIP Robert Forster, wachted El Camino yesterday, saw the news of his death today...
Movie was solid tho, not mind blowing, but solid... Good job...
Perfect ending... Jesse deserved a peaceful ending... unlike every other character of the show...(literally everyone)...
Can we make a series off Jessie living his life and having to run from Alaska
Great job loop👍🏿
I’m with the others on this one, the ending is pretty self explanatory.
I didn’t wanted the movie to end 😭 😂 especially after the flashback scene with Walter in the restaurant.
Thank you! Please explain how two times two equals four next.
In the diner, the conversation ends with Jesse saying Walter's family will get everything they're owed. The missing 80 million is still out there.
Best ending I could think of.
Very well done!
Of course it must hurt him to let all behind and knowing, that there's no way back.
But at least he can let everything go and start a new live in peace.
Makes me sad and happy at the same time.
Damn the ending of le Camino got me hella sad
It’s really sad to see how much hate a good movie is getting
People expected to much.
He got flashback of where he thought he was back in the cage where the neo nazi put him but in reality he was just in skinny Pete and bager house. Why? Because he was traumatized of what the neo nazi had done to him. But I see what you mean about the movie but to me, I liked the movie and how jesse finally gets to start a new life in the ending but I respect on what you said :)
@Tim Stephen I'm a big fan of breaking bad I watched through the show 5 times in the last year
@@justacryingkat1304 it's good to see some people on the internet can still respect others opinions
Shocker looper makes a video on something we all already knew
Best line is when Skinny Pete told Jesse that he was his hero.
