To be honest it was more like an extended final episode to give closure to fans and I thought it was really well done. But I think some people were expecting some kind of epic blockbuster movie.

Fun El Camino fact: The pimp who drove the Hummer in the call girls scene was the same huge thug who pissed his pants and ran out of the parking garage after Mike disarmed Trevor in that episode of Better Call Saul.
Just found out that Robert Forester, the guy who's character helped Jesse escape to Alaska, has passed away at 78. Damn the movie just came out today. I'm glad he gave us some good memories from this show and movie.
I wish they had done this movie within a year after the end. Todd looked too old from how I remember him. This movie gave the closure that any BB fan would want, Jesse being free and liberated!
Yeah Todd looked like he aged 15 years and gained 80 pounds and the Jesse flashback with Walter was obvious Jesse was old and Walters head looked so obvious that he had on a bald cap. This movie was disappointing as a whole for me

It was a nice homage to Clint Eastwood's character The Man With No Name. He used to hide a second revolver underneath his poncho with the same effect of using it to get the jump on dueling opponents.
I think Looper just realizes that people will be willing to watch anything related to Breaking Bad/the movie for the next few days even if they have seen the movie already, ESPECIALLY if they've seen the movie.

Something I realised in el Camino: just before entering the warehouse where he killed the gang members who enslaved him, he picked up a beetle and let it crawl across his hand. Exactly like in an episode in breaking bad where after skinny Pete stepped on the beetle. Jessie has always disliked violence, but you ever mess with those he loves, he’ll always get you.
Skinny Pete was excellent in this movie. I wish that scene was included. Would’ve shown even further how loyal he was to Jess being grilled and not cracking to police pressure

The movie was everything and more for me. I was on the edge of my seat the entire movie. Yeah i wanted more, but damn what a great recap and ending to a great show. Glad they put it on Netflix and not make us all pay to go see it in the movies.
This actually made me tear up a bit. To walk with Jesse throughout his journey in Breaking Bad and then relive everything he went through--he deserved a happy ending. I'm glad it was written that way. And the movie was simple, too!

I binged Season 1-5 a few months ago. When Breaking Bad was live on cable a saw a few episodes, but never got hooked. I didn't realize how good it was. It was a great show just like The Sopranos. El Camino was good, need more.
The diner scene used the song “to sir with love” which is from the same movie from the 60’s. It’s a thank you to a teacher for all that they taught them.
I dont actually know how to feel about the ending, it's like the ending most of us wanted but not what jesse deserved. I would've preferred him giving up to the cops eventually after a hard realization or sonething. That feels like a better closure to his arc.

I think when Walt made this statement so early in their journey and Jesse’s speechless reaction afterwards, it was just another nod to Walt’s ‘moral fracture’ and ultimate duality, which turns out to be the epicenter of the breaking bad series; Walt was an unfinished man that due to a series of unfortunate events in his life, and a few assholes along the way, needed completion. Think about it, All the things Walt told Jesse he should do to better himself, Walt had already done. College..all that. It was after Jesse reassured him that his family would be taken care of, to which Walt seemed genuinely relieved, that he made this statement to Jesse which basically said “you don’t know this man’s angle...it’s deeper than you think” Because of this...people warned Jesse that Walt was a ticking time bomb but I honestly think Jesse likened Walt to his cancer-weary, deceased relative who loved him unconditionally- seen in photographs earlier in the series or just a father figure he didn’t have.
Didn't see it until last night's AMC premiere. But wow: "El Camino" just floored me. So grateful that Jesse has that...second chance. And thank you, "Looper," for this wonderful piece.
One thing worth noting: the film’s story begins with Jesse screaming at the top of his lungs while driving the loud El Camino, but ends with him driving in complete and utter silence
@@whyteytheplug2875 Walter had given them each like $10,000 or even $100,000 to point the laser pointers at Elliott and Gretchen. I imagine they probably still were sitting on some of that money considering they had seen Walter like the day before they saw Jesse, chronologically speaking. So my guess is they each handed Jesse like $3-4k, that's about the amount it looked like anyway.
This finally brought closure to part of the story after so long! Breaking bad was a great show. El Camino was a great movie. Would be awesome if they did a follow up on walt's family.
It was a perfect conclusion to Jesse’s story and put a wrap on one of the greatest shows of all time. I can’t recall a show with a great episode every single episode outside of Fly lol
Fun Fact: When Jesse went to Ed the Dissapearer he said: "I'm 96% sure........." you know what else was 96%? The purity of his meth batch he made in Mexico to show the cartel how it's done.
I never realised the colour thing that's amazing especially the white sweater in the end. It's telling a whole other story for people, even gus and how is original appearance is more friendly but over time you see him for how ruthless he truly is
Finishing that movie left me in a state of sadness, the feeling of missing someone, especially that flashback of Walt. Oh man, I kinda regret watching that movie.
I live in Alaska. Big cities pretty spread out from each other. He’s 40 miles away from Haines AK with a population of about 2,000. These areas are pretty remote, and if he lays low for a couple months, I’d say he’s good to go. He should avoid places like Anchorage or Fairbanks though.

This actually made me tear up a bit. To walk with Jesse throughout his journey in Breaking Bad and then relive everything he went through--he deserved a happy ending. I'm glad it was written that way. And the movie was simple, too!
The ending got me teared up a little. Seeing the end of a legendary show is always tough for me

I binged Season 1-5 a few months ago. When Breaking Bad was live on cable a saw a few episodes, but never got hooked. I didn't realize how good it was. It was a great show just like The Sopranos.

I dont actually know how to feel about the ending, it's like the ending most of us wanted but not what jesse deserved. I would've preferred him giving up to the cops eventually after a hard realization or sonething. That feels like a better closure to his arc.

I think when Walt made this statement so early in their journey and Jesse’s speechless reaction afterwards, it was just another nod to Walt’s ‘moral fracture’ and ultimate duality, which turns out to be the epicenter of the breaking bad series; Walt was an unfinished man that due to a series of unfortunate events in his life, and a few assholes along the way, needed completion. Think about it, All the things Walt told Jesse he should do to better himself, Walt had already done. College..all that. It was after Jesse reassured him that his family would be taken care of, to which Walt seemed genuinely relieved, that he made this statement to Jesse which basically said “you don’t know this man’s angle...it’s deeper than you think” Because of this...people warned Jesse that Walt was a ticking time bomb but I honestly think Jesse likened Walt to his cancer-weary, deceased relative who loved him unconditionally- seen in photographs earlier in the series or just a father figure he didn’t have.

Didn't see it until last night's AMC premiere. But wow: "El Camino" just floored me. So grateful that Jesse has that...second chance. And thank you, "Looper," for this wonderful piece.
One thing worth noting: the film’s story begins with Jesse screaming at the top of his lungs while driving the loud El Camino, but ends with him driving in complete and utter silence

@@whyteytheplug2875 Walter had given them each like $10,000 or even $100,000 to point the laser pointers at Elliott and Gretchen. I imagine they probably still were sitting on some of that money considering they had seen Walter like the day before they saw Jesse, chronologically speaking. So my guess is they each handed Jesse like $3-4k, that's about the amount it looked like anyway.

I never realised the colour thing that's amazing especially the white sweater in the end. It's telling a whole other story for people, even gus and how is original appearance is more friendly but over time you see him for how ruthless he truly is
Finishing that movie left me in a state of sadness, the feeling of missing someone, especially that flashback of Walt. Oh man, I kinda regret watching that movie.

I live in Alaska. Big cities pretty spread out from each other. He’s 40 miles away from Haines AK with a population of about 2,000. These areas are pretty remote, and if he lays low for a couple months, I’d say he’s good to go. He should avoid places like Anchorage or Fairbanks though.

Dont get me wrong it's a good movie with a nice ending but it could have been much better and if I'm being honest they went a little overboard with the flashbacks and actor who plays todd has not aged well and hes quite fat
@@beatsgamer9918 I see what you mean but the real actor who played tod gain some weight and in the movie I think jesse is now suffering PTSD because of what the Neo Nazi had done to him. He got flashback of where he thought he was back in the cage where the neo nazi put him but in reality he was just in skinny Pete and bager house. Why? Because he was traumatized of what the neo nazi had done to him. But I see what you mean about the movie but to me, I liked the movie and how jesse finally gets to start a new life in the ending but I respect on what you said :)
