Basic etiquette for a player/team competing against different nationality: NEVER ATTACK/INCLUDE THE FLAG, even if it is indirectly or unintentional. Flag is the country's pride. That is their symbol. Since you took a photo of the Malaysian flag people not playing the game will think that you are looking down on them as a whole.

I would look for the context of why this person said this. Simple as that.

As a Malaysian and someone who quite active with the NA scene all I can say that, I understand that Zane just trying to spice up the event and makes some joke. The first ever ez server joke was literally a normal harmless joke that I actually funny. Hey, NA beat MY since M3 and the jokes is pretty much true and actually hilarious in my opinion. And yes, most of Malaysian doesn't get that he was joking (pretty standard thing even amongst us Malaysian) but there's also people who uses it as an excuse to HYPE up the scene (The pro players for example).
