small uptick…for senior positions
Graduated last year and still looking. I had to graduate at the worst time possible 😪
i fucking feel you. i am still looking too...
@@AFollowerOfCanti I can’t express how frustrating it is to get rejected from the simplest of jobs. It’s hard because we’re competing against people with decades of experience. My friend tried to hook me up with a spot at the company he works at, but they chose someone with over 25 years of experience 💀
Any update I’m about to start in cs
bro SAME
@@stkbloc9717 still can’t find shit.
He is the king of optimism
Scary as a current computer science student.
me too .I'm scary just thinking i need 2 more years to finish my degree and when i gradute what if there is much competition and huge layoff in this field

Neom will be the new corporations land you will be safe
Just learn and practice
Just learn to be plumber
@@Adam-kk7nw ngl I have considered this
Studying CS and im hoping the job market recovers by the time I graduate
Is going to go down even worst, there’s increases in loan % interest & the government taxing more
Happy to know
it could be just noise...
This is just the US?
Oh yea? Then why am I still getting denied for junior level positions?
Still super low and jobs are being super picky
Because a lot of senior level people have been laid off and they’re applying to those “entry” positions as well, jobs where they’re being picky and asking for 5 years of experience at entry level. This makes the competition so hard for a junior dev. Keep pushing and applying bro, you got this. It’s just hard right now 💜
@@rileyb3484it always be hard. It only goes downwards from here
I hope this is will recovery soon as possible
Thanks
Glad i switched my major lmao
Thanks Biden! 😅
.. I'm so optimistic!, Anybody need a web developer intern or assistant?
no, try backend
why are this jobs open? does nobody want them or what?
There's lots of reasons why there will always be open jobs, regardless of demand for those jobs. Here's a few that come to mind:
- Jobs that just went on the market. There's some delay between posting a job and actually hiring someone.
- Jobs in locations with less demand.
- Jobs looking for a very specific type of "10x" candidate and just haven't found them yet.
- Jobs permanently left on the market. Some large tech companies just leave the jobs applications open forever as they hire thousands of developers by reusing the same application page.
- Jobs that people just don't want for whatever other reason (bad company reputation, bad benefits, bad work life balance, bad pay, etc.)
And just in general, the hiring skill requirements that a job has, the harder it is to hire for that job and thus the longer it will stay on the market. It's not like you can just take a random unemployed person and stick them in a software engineering role. And most companies wan to avoid settling for "mediocre" developers, but most of the top talent already have jobs.
