Thank you, my son is a master welder for the country’s largest street sweeper manufacturer, and he gave me the green light to order one of these for my use.
I cant believe how far welders have come. My father was a welder for over 30 years and if he were still with us I'm sure he would be so impressed with this awesome technology
This is the best review of this welder I have seen!! Great job!! Nobody else bothered to hook up the gas and show how it works with solid core. Thank you!!
Welding stick will be plus or minus depending on what electrodes you are using. Usually "rutile" electrodes are connected to minus, and they are easier to weld, while "basic" electrodes are connected to plus, and give a stronger weld.
I've toyed with getting a welder for some time but didn't want to spend six or seven hundred bucks for the few times I would use it. Two hundred bucks is much easier to swallow. This machine will handle any welding task I would have. Great review! Keep 'em coming.
Not bad at all! I'd really like to know how it 'holds up' in the long term. One more thought, I'd like to see this run off a generator on 120 VAC to be used, say, for a remote jobsite, this hopefully, will impress me.
Think i could weld exhaust with this with flux core? With some practice lol, ive already had my ac/dc tombstone for a few years and been welding. I can possibly borrow a gas bottle from my dad for mig but im curious how flux will do. The research i came up with is split so what fo you think? You have the best video on here of this particular welder.
Thanks for this video. That sure does look like a nice device at a very good price. When using the gas, does it only flow when the wire is moving? I just checked the price on Amazon and it shows $159.99 with free next day delivery for Prime members.
I'm looking for some help my machine (exactly the one in vid) only pulls cable whe on MIG (Gasless) but will not spark. If I switch to TIG it sparks but there's no cable feed available regardless of how i press the trigger. any help? advice first welder and I've been doing youtube research for a few days now. Not sure if it's faulty or i'm faulty haha
Great review Don and if I may your welding has come a long way. Question, when using 110, what size breakers do you need in the house or garage? 15a or 20a. Cheers
Well, some may have a 120/240 V outlet in their garage, especially if they have a battery electric car. Another method to get 240 V is buying a generator cord and plugging it into your dryer outlet through an adapter plug at each end and running it to your garage. Of course, it really depends on the run length between your dryer outlet and the garage and this makes a bit of an impact on how much power you actually get from a 30 A rated generator cord.
That looks like a very versatile little machine and a really hot deal too . Great review Don , thank you. Is the the gun live whenever the machine is on or only when the trigger is pressed?
Noticed that the box said 7th Gen but the machine said 9th Gen, I believe that the 7th Gen is only a 120 machine while the 9th Gen is a 120/240 (at 14:10 min)
Great video. Makes me wanna buy one and start welding pieces of metal together!😊Are the wire spools unique (OEM) to this brand or are there other after-market (non-OEM) wire spools that will also work on this machine?
@@donyboy73 Thanks. The 9th gen is not available on the canadian side of Amazon but it is in the US. The link for Canada is the 7th gen and does not do 220V nor MIG with gas. I'll have to wait. Thanks
just a quick note in cas eno one knows as i myself didnt until recently. even though you can do stick, solid, mig and tig you dont get a tig torch and you still need gas to do those welding techniques..only flux core is gasless otherwise it trips the breaker or the welds are too weak
@@donyboy73 I found it on Amazon and it is very confusing. Are you saying one would have to buy the Bestarc 145 plus a TIG-17V Air-Cooled Lift Tig Torch because for $192 it looks like they come together. To be honest, I would not trust something that sounds to good to be true.

I think I could pretty much sign your comment.
I have the basic version of the mig145 and it's great. So easy to use and does some pretty good welds.
This is the best review of this welder I have seen!! Great job!! Nobody else bothered to hook up the gas and show how it works with solid core. Thank you!!
Donyboy the OG still going strong my first subscription. Thank you
Definitely worth every penny for what it comes with

Any chance you can demonstrate tig capabilities of the welder. That versatility will make it for me. Thanks for the video Dony
Great review ! All the great information we need very well laid out in an easy and clear way for anyone to understand.
Outstanding info. Thank you Don. Excellent presentation. Father’s Day is coming!
Thanks for sharing, thank you Ron, from rural life with Ron for bringing me here.
I will like to know if the electrical cord can be removed when transport and replaced when in use?

Nice! You are a good salesman. Great instructional video and looks like a great machine, great price.
I’m in the market for a multi process welder to use on some projects. Timely post indeed. Thanks
Can this weld up to a quarter inch?
Nice welder and a great job welding Dony! :)

New sub! I am about to get this machine and I appreciate his video. Thanks!
Great video Don! For the price, this welder did really well! Thanks for you demo, greatly appreciated!
Thanks Dony. We are looking for one and this would be a great Father's Day present for my soninlaw Dylan
Definitely!
Hi Dony, I just wanted to ask, what should be the breaker's rating (amp) if I'm using 110V and welding 1/4" steel with mig?
I think 60 amps, but check with an electrician first!
@@donyboy73 Thank you!

You're better off using the 75/25 gas mix
@ yea I figured, thought about straight co2 but you are correct.
Don, vous avez toujours du bon sens.

Great video Dony. Excellent welder for the price. impressive I'd say! I want one. 😊
Great videos by the way keep them coming
I can't believe it welded two pieces of 1/2" metal together, did the weld hold??
Dony boy I went to your links for the welder Canada Amazon don’t have that middle wire that goes on the front of the welder do you no why

does it have high frequency tig
arc start Tig I believe, tig torch must be purchased separately

FYI, the cdn amazone link is only showing a 110V machine, the dual voltage one appears to be sold out.... bummer
In-stock now
