i have a love hate relationship with this tank. i'm grinding it right now for fast track, and i'm almost done with it! I can have a 3-4k damage game, but turn right around and have a 0 damage game. The trick i've found is do exactly what skill did in the first game. Snipe at the beginning and then once the opposing team gets seperated start to be a bit more aggressive since you've saved your HP. Still a pain in matches that you get stuck in the open, and can't use the clip potential.
57% wr in my amx 50 100 over 1500 games, but thats all in old time , after new tanks introduced they never buffed this tank, gun handling is so bad, accuracy and pen sucks, armor? stopped playing with it long ago, and its not even in my garage now
I used to LOVE this tank.... That was when it came out, as I stopped playing few years back. I just started again, mostly because of the positive atmosphere I see in skill's video's. Sadly, realty is different as people aren't positive or even 'jolly' if they don't see a famous streamer. Just today I had people try to push me out of positions they wanted to use, to the point I wish team damage was still enabled ( I mean, try pushing an E3 back after he pushed your wz-111-1-something out from a hull down position. I'm not even checking my stats, I know I been playing like pants since I started especially as I went straight back to grinding tanks I don't like but want to finish, I been loving my vk2801 105 or whatever it's called, I am still doing ok with my TD's and mediums but heavies are a chore to play.
Your comment is one of hundreds I read on WoT 'Tubers vids and it always makes me sad to hear this is the experience people come back to. As someone who did Gold League in 2014, my advice to you is to just play the game and focus less on how your team views/treats you. Just make a decision, be confident in said decision, even if you think it may be the wrong one, and commit to it. Worst that happens is you die and then you can analyze what you did wrong and how you can improve and go to the next game. I wish you luck, gamer :)

With mediums you can play 'loose' and still have a good impact. Light I been enjoying, well in those games where my spotting is getting rewarded. And in many games I also have had fun, and in some that wasn't caused by me or what I experienced but with watching my team come back from a beaten position and the positivity we had in chat with people telling how it was the greatest game they ever had. That was really fun, even to just spectate, I could almost hear him clinching his cheeks right before the end and then typing 'how the hell did I survive this' I told him, when you tell it yourself, just always say it was skill not luck
You're not alone. I started playing 2012 then stopped in 2016. Came back last year after a five year break and though I keep playing I just can't seem to get back to how I was before. One thing that got me was the speed of the game now. 15-5 in less than five minutes happens way too often. That plus some of the crazy view range now. I remember an early game I was in a TD spawned south on Ensk. Was rolling out near the red line to the bottom right corner. I was shot to pieces before I was even half way there by tanks I couldn't even see.

My advice is playing the type's of vehicles you like to play, normally you play best with what you enjoy. I'm also quite sure my issue isn't just my tanks being obsolete, I mean I have had good games with my type59, su-122-44 and I even tried to drown my sorrows once with playing a game in my Pz-II-J ( which I lost btw, because the enemy team had TWO J's and my TD's died to quickly ). In the past I learned to never keep playing the same tank if you're getting tilted but to switch to something entirely different to drag me out of my comfort zone where I was getting triggered because things didn't go my way. With that reset I get another chance to have a good streak and feel good about the session. This is also why I'm struggeling so much, I'm only grinding two HT lines I started years back, with my other games just random inbetween tanks. And I know, TigerII isn't bad, but I actually like my Lowe ALOT better it feels way more reliable armor wise and the higher dpm doesn't mean anything when you're fighting higher tier tanks which just play right and trade ( and you can't push, because the first to push is the first to die ). And I absolutely hate my wz-111-something tier IX CN HT with the 100mm gun... I need 40k xp for the 130mm and I really want to play the game with that gun but now it's just so frustrating. You're not fast enough to play heavy medium, you don't have gun depression to play in field positions, you don't have that much armor either and you have a gun a medium tank would look at and feel sorry for you ( I would love the 120mm from my wz-120 ). I know, the tank will actually be able to trade when I get the bigger gun and I am told this will make me like it since it's then the basic RU clone heavy dumb tank. I don't want to abandon those lines, I will finish them. But o boy would I wish I could skip it ( without having to send WeGreedy my money off course ).
It didn't just vanish, it hit the sign which for some reason works like the destructible houses (it eats your entire shell instead of passing through like fences and small walls)
I did this tank a month ago, I've found its best use in the current meta is as a fast flanker to get around the side/ behind of tanks and dump a magazine of standard AP into their unsuspecting buttocks! XD Paris is a good example, wait until loaded, then get round the back of the heavy flank.
This one was my first Tier8 and I love it. I'm not good in this tank but its one of my favorites. Also the AMX 50 120 works far better for me than the 100
I played this tank about 4, 5 months ago while grinding towards 50b and honestly I enjoyed it quite a bit. It is very hard to play, but if you do so patiently and safely (aka a bit selfish and campier) and choose your targets for ambush it is devastating. Also the clip reload is not that big of a deal most of the time to perfrom consistently good/ average. You basically need 2 clips per game and you already have a great result

It's without a doubt one of my worst performing tier 8 heavies, if not THE worst. My average damage after about 50 battles in it is probably half of what I normally get in a tier 8 heavy, which is to say around 2k.
This and the IS3 were the only T8's I bought back. Got great crews for them and all that then they were just made meh then bleh. Never bought a T8 back since.
I played it maybe 3 or 4 years ago and it was the same story. This tank is useless throughout the first and the most important phase of the battle. If you're lucky and your team is not completely braindead then you can set up ambushes and use your clip, but if your team is losing badly then there's nothing you can do in this tank. Just wait till the end and hope for one clip worth of damage before you get killed. Very frustrating.
Artillery can deal 1000 damage after the artillery ammo nerf?!?!? He obviously penetrated your tank, I don't think they let arty do that much damage anymore.
They should buff this tank honestly. If they can't buff the armor they should just buff the gun + decrease the reload time for at least 40 secs, to at least compete with the meta.
Looks like wg has done some improvement with 50 100 lately. It feels different and better than for 1 year ago. The canon is very accurate and you feel it pens more than before. I say its worst thing is its so infected with lowroll pr clip!!! 1 shot get 300+ pen next and next 260, 240 (examples) and this comes from a 100mm canon and thats why I did much more dmg some years - when it was notorious and feared by other players - ago than today!
I don't know but maybe I got different mm, but I very rarely get pushed by anyone on purpose, hell I don't remember last time I got killed because someone pushed me out of my position.

Well, not Skill but... I really do like the tier 9. I have to be honest, I didn't go for the tier 10 because every time I see one it is never a threat, but the tier 9 feels really good. Good gun, decent mobility, good turret. All around a pretty good tank(when fully upgraded). BUT, as for the line, the lower tiers I found to be really bad, so I'd skip them if possible.
I used this tank years ago in clan wars, back then when in Tier VIII clan war IS-3 is still meta. Even back then the tank is not forgiving and a mistake would cost you the entire match. I still have the tank in my garage and I have pretty nice stats in it, but I won't play it again. Actually with some gun buff it would be a much more fun tank, but with current stats it's just not a tank that is easy to play in current armored + fast meta

I hated this tank, it has no armor so you want to be far from enemy also has bad acuracy so you want to get closer to enemy, I needed to use stabilizer directive on it to do something
On paper, gun is very unreliable and not that accurate, RNG can fuck you up big time. You need to find some LONELY (keyword) poor sod even if he is tier 10 and clip him for 2k and then hopefully retreat and reload again.
From tier 5 upwards, i think this the worst tank i ever drove! A real 1 star, the gun is so innacureta it is frustrating... I even enjoyed more a-44 than this piece of crap.

I can count the amount of 'gold' shells fired in my 30k+ games on 2 hands. I have no problem firing just normal rounds and I prefer it. The whole idea of tanks like the Maus is that you can't simply pen it. What's the point of having ANY armored vehicle in the game if everyone can just spam gold and pretty much auto aim? Bouncing missions are nearly impossible nowadays. I just wish they would balance gold rounds. Higher pen, but half the damage. Would make the game so much more interesting, but all the fake fluffy unicorns would cry as aiming requires some knowledge I guess. I hate it, with a passion. And there is NO need to fire gold. I marked loads of tanks without it, without any problem.
haha, try loading gold and autoaim, will see how many pens you will get, Jpze100 is prob only tank that could do it somehow successfully, people shoot gold because tanks are over armored nowdays, back in a day you could reliably pen bunch of turrets straight to the face with std ammo, like E50m, Patton, STB, same Maus or E100, if now you meet E100 in one of the "super rare" corridor map and you are in E100, what are you supposed to do? Try to snipe pixel weakspot for next 5 mins? If you enjoy that, good for you, gold ammo just cant be nerfed, at least not at tier 10, so many tanks would get stupidly broken, they should make gold cost same, tier 10 is balanced around gold ammo anyway...For lower tiers its not that bad and gold can be avoided tho
@@durachoks Tanks are not over armored at all. The only one might be the 279. When everyone slings gold, there's just no point in having any armor. If you want a point and click game, sure. I prefer having to outplay the enemy. If I can't pen him from the front, I disengage. It's super easy, but requires 2 working braincells. Kids these days just can't handle any challenges anymore, instant whining if something requires only just a little bit of thinking. Sad. Some tanks, like the Maus, are SUPPOSED to be tough to crack from the front. What's the point in having the Maus in the game if you can just shoot it frontally then?

All my favorite tanks have become obsolete, 50 100, AMX 54, IS 3, etc. So sad to go like this, i couldn't even have an enjoyable last match.

i dont ever get out of the first "phase" of battles, they only last 3 mins and everyones dead and your losing or everyones alive and your winning

i just put a turbo on mine and then ran around with the medium tanks, it's like a lorr 40t with extra shots in the mag, but with more hp
I remember clipping out an IS-3 on the Shit River map such a great memory sadly I have no others to report which I think says it all about this tank
I was thinking of getting rid of the 90mm F9 gun and throw in 4 shot 105mm gun for 50 seconds and have the 100mm 40 seconds.

For me 3 out of 6 fully aimed shots is a good day, unless I'm point blank, then it's all pens unless RNG fucks it up.

Some new vehicles can pen the maus with standard rounds, no problem

I prefer having to outplay the enemy. If I can't pen him from the front, I disengage. It's super easy, but requires 2 working braincells. Kids these days just can't handle any challenges anymore, instant whining if something requires only just a little bit of thinking. Sad.
Some tanks, like the Maus, are SUPPOSED to be tough to crack from the front. What's the point in having the Maus in the game if you can just shoot it frontally then?
@@EvilCouncil did you just read what I wrote about how not even that long ago you could pen almost everything in the face with std ammo and now you cant? just count how many are there hull down tanks with pixel weakspots? What is that if not over armored...
There has never been a point in wot history with so much armor as it is now.
And what makes it worse is that every 2nd map is a corridor map.
Also kinda funny how you dont use gold and think you can pen tanks easily from the front, you would be surprised how often you have to disengage because you cant pen even with gold. I guess I have to specify Im talking about tier 10, on other levels game is still playable with out gold
