Hi everyone! I hope you enjoy today's entryway video and find these tips helpful. What type of entryway do you have?! I'd love to hear any ideas styling ideas you have in the comments below xx
I live in a studio apartment and have a very small wall where you open the door and still found a way to make it feel like an entryway! I have a stump stool with a marble key tray, a piece of art I've hung on the wall with command strip, a buddha indoor water feature and a pot plant! xx
I'm sure that looks lovely! Be careful with those Command Strips. I've used them for years But, they've became my worst enemy, and I'm not turning back now! 🤭
Thank you for more styling tips. We have a small hallway, so it just contains a couple of pieces of artwork, a recycled old hall table with a loved basket underneath and a jute rug. I've used some of your previous tips for displaying items on the table and I'm very pleased with it. It's amazing what can be achieved on a budget.
I’m so glad to hear you’re pleased with how your hallway turned out Joan! It’s amazing how creative touches and thoughtful displays can make a space feel special, even on a budget. Thanks for sharing your update! xx
Hi Suzie! ❤ Very nice, dear. I've seen several noted here. Love many. Always admire your luxurious style! McGee & Co is another, for hers. Japandi for theirs! I noticed quite a few decor items I purchased for my entryway, from a couple of stores. I'm happy to report, is finally completed! Thank you for sharing. Hugs to you and enjoy your weekend! 🥰
Hi Gina ❤️! I’m so happy to hear that your entryway is finally completed and that you found inspiration from the video. McGee & Co is very talented! Thank you for the lovely note and your kind words-hugs to you as well! Enjoy the start to your wek xx
I have a small entryway that’s semi- open to the dining room and living room. I used a hanging light that mimicked the chandelier in the dining space to make it cohesive. A small table with a ceramic vessel with branches against an oval mirror.
I have a large two-story entryway and over the years have tried many iterations of decorating it to make it feel welcoming, and aesthetically pleasing however it’s always just felt off. Thank you so much for this video so many inspiring ideas.
I'm glad the video offered some inspiring ideas for your entryway! It can be challenging to find the right approach for a large space, but hopefully, the suggestions will help you create a welcoming and aesthetically pleasing environment. xx
I have a tiny apartment. My entryway consists of an elephant table with a touch lamp and African art pieces. I have a stackable shoe rack near the base of the table.
Thank you for providing suggestions for small / narrow and spaces without a designated entryway, such as studio or entry door opening into the living area.
So beautiful Suziem I'm off out to get some branches for my foer, you have inspired me, On my next trip to town, I'm going to be looking for some bits😊 and bobs for the foyer. Cheers from Plessala.
I’m thrilled to hear you enjoyed the video and found it inspiring! Entryways offer so many creative possibilities, and it’s great to explore different styles. Thank you for your kind words and support! xx
It what feels right to you! Peruse images of hallways and gather images until you settle in a look that resonates. You can always modify but getting the key pieces in place first then layer with your decorative touches. Have you a design style you prefer? Modern, classic, rustic, scandi? That may help you select the pieces that fit that your preferred style. S x
Thanks Suzie. ❤ Very nice video and practical tips. I like almost everything. Only one question - for the last part vignette, would complete mirror symmetry appear a bit boring? I am not referring to symmetry of small items such as 2 candles on the console, but rather the complete design (15:02). Would like to hear your thoughts. Thanks.
Thank you for your feedback and question! Complete mirror symmetry in a vignette can sometimes appear rigid or predictable. While symmetry brings balance and order, incorporating asymmetrical elements or mixing textures and heights can add visual interest and dynamism, which is often well-suited for contemporary spaces. For a classic, formal appearance, mirror symmetry can help emphasise that sense of formality xx
It's true-many newer homes lack a defined entryway, which can make it challenging to create a welcoming and functional space as you enter. I can imagine it is because of the rise in open-plan living! xx
What can I do with a space that as soon as I open the door it's stair's right in front of you? I want to make it bright and welcoming. I'm thinking of a stair runner rug it's very dark.
Hello Jan, are there any walls on the perimeter that could balance as a focal point? Stair runners in a stripe with some colour would add a lovely energy and welcome. An interesting pendant light for lustre and warmth. If you have a wall in the space you could hang a mirror, piece of art or a coat rack x

I love entryways!
They can really set the tone for the whole home! A fun project to work on xx
I am thinking of adding wall molding. I can’t add it all over my house but the entryway might be elevated by its addition.
What a great idea. I have been thinking of doing the same thing in our entry hallway. Nice way to add character! x
I have no entryway however, I’m sure I could carve out a niche beside the entryway door for hanging a mirror and a place to put the keys
That sounds like a great idea! It’s amazing how a few thoughtful touches can make a big difference in creating a welcoming feel. xx
Thank you Suzie, for another great video, I really look forward to watching them!

@@suzieandersonhome Thank you very much Suzie for your explanation. Yes, it makes a lot of sense.
No substitute for Elegance.

There are so many newer homes that do not have a proper entry way.
