The main witness for the prosecution wrote a book "shamed" by Sarbjit Kaur Athwal. It's incredible. The strength it took for her to survive and find the courage to come forward.
Why did surjit trust her mother in law to go India with her to attend two weddings and that poor girl did not know anything that her mother in law just wanted to get rid of her and later her mother in law's brother drugged and strangled her and throwed her body in Ravi river and she was never found till this day so it's a brutal planned murder of this poor young girl and justice was done when her husband and her mother in law were jailed for life in August 2006 and her murder happened in December 1998.
