I like how you tried out all the different ways to make Gimbap 😂 I definitely need to try the Bulgogi Gimbap-sounds SO good! Also, I totally relate to struggling with the rice spreading. The traditional bamboo mat method is classic for a reason, though! This was super fun to watch. Merry Christmas to you too! 🎄
@@josephlim-c8q what a cool profile pic! Yeah controlling seaweed and rice..? Oh man it was hard. It will be my last Gimbap video🤣 you have a happy christmas and new year mate!🫰
A Gimbap video!! 😍 Thank you Hyun! Okay, I get it now about the gimbap mold. I will buy the bamboo mat then. I like the last version. Also, thank you for showing us how to roll the gimbap using the mat-that’s exactly what I needed. Now, though, I’m very curious about your rice cooker! I’d love to buy that exact rice cooker when I go back to Korea!
Sorry i meant ‘rice cooker’ not cooking machine🤣 so silly. I like the brand ‘cuchen’

@@Hyunucooks Oh you’re fine! It’s the same-Rice Cooking Machine. I bet if only they could name it that way. But Rice Cooker sounds more like… hmm… cute? Yeah I think so. 💭💁🏻♀️ Cuchen - okay noted! 👍
Thank you for recommending adding plum extract to the sauce! I bought a bottle and can't remember why lol 🤦. I think the traditional method came out great 🤩😎!
Today I finally felt brave enough to make a rice ball and I said how hard could it be? It was so hard!! I ended up just mixing it all together in a bowl lol I've wanted to make gimbap too and now I know that when I do make it, use the bamboo mat 😅 thank you and Merry Christmas to you as well!
Perhaps it is an American thing and I’ll be totally honest as I haven’t tried it but tuna gimbap just sounds gross to me….just as using tuna for kimchi jigae….I’m probably wrong 😂🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
@ because I’m your hyung 😉 I think people in the US think of canned tuna as garbage fish when it isn’t! My favorite sandwich is a good tuna salad sandwich! But it is hard to think of canned tuna as good for classic Korean dishes as gimbap and kimchi jigae as we in the USA are used to beef/pork. Thanks for engaging with me! I just hope you continue to do so when you blow up which I have no doubt you will 동생☺️
any vegetarian alternative recipe to this ?😍
The magic of gimbap is you can literally put anything INSIDE! you can put mushroom and spinach instead of meat! Lots of gimbap have no meat actually😎

so maybe you can tell me the model number? 😄
The cooking machine is an old one. My mom gave it to me as she got the new one🤣🤣

Oh plum extract is used for so many recipes! Such as marinades for meat, sauce, kimchi, soups and salads!
@@Hyunucooks Ah yes, I think I got it to add to kimchi!
I wish the ingredients for gimbap wasn't so expensive in our country cause that looks delicious and now i wanna make 1000 of them :D
@@AsmaulHusna-kf1kp seaweed is the expensive one?
@Hyunucooks yess, as well as beef and the ingredients to marinate them with :')
Last time i had this, it was incredibly expensive
@@AsmaulHusna-kf1kp ohh😧😧 i will always try to keep ingredients simple for you guys
