Yuyu hakusho doesn't get the recognition it needs it was definitely the best of the legendary gen it didn't have the dominance like dbz but it made up for that with just the quality of the story, emotion, nostalgia and just intense fights and even just entertainment in every ep
Everyone has to fight with time to find their place before their inevitable death. Toguro... he ran away from that fight. Don't you ever do the same. No human is ever a one man show. Every decision that you make will affect the countless people who care about you.
It's a real fucking crime how forgotten this anime is today so I'm going to leave this comment here to see how many of us are still viding this masterpiece into our 30's and beyond
Everybody says that, but it's regarded highly on MAL. Ranked 145 of all time and 288 in populatiry despite being finished for like 20 years now. Yeah, not as high as the current hotness, but like I said it finished 20 years ago and it's not on any non-anime specific streaming platform. That being said, I think that a lot of newer anime watchers miss out on it since it's not really pushed or advertised.
I'm almost 44 but YYH has been one of my favorite animes since I was in my early 20's. I used to buy the YYH videos and a couple dvds from Suncoast Video in the early 2000's before they closed. I tried to introduce it to the 13 year-old I nanny for on Mondays and Thursdays but he wasn't interested. On the plus side he just started Dragon Ball Kai and he likes it so far.
Yes! I've rewatched the series countless times; each time gaining a deeper understanding and self-inflection. I had missed it when I think I needed it most and that was in high-school. I felt it would have molded me differently, allowing me to develop differently. It's hard to put in words, so I'll say it like this. It would have been a catalyst for me to go beyond. The majority of high-school I was a two sport athlete, worked darn near full time, and still maintained a high grade point average, and part of me still thinks I could have taken it further, ya know like how Yusuke found out about A and S class demons
This is the one show I put over dbz franchise as a whole, and it's not to say I hate dbz but this show just had much more to it than just fights. Which each member in yusuke's crew, you can relate to them completely or in some ways
I just finished the series and hearing this OST more often in the dark tournament arc has been so inspiring and motivating in my life seeing this amazing characters overcome all obstacles no matter the odds
Yu Yu Hakusho is what you get by taking Dragon Ball Z's action, Elfen Lied's hardcore edginess, and rewriting them to be a mature thesis with relatable and timeless themes about coming of age, hatred, revenge, finding your place, and learning to care for others, what measure are we? It is true art whose canvas brushwork is still relevant today.
The show was something I never thought I needed, but the finale made me angry. However, I can't blame the creator. He was too physically and emotionally tired after 2+ years, so
Thank u Genkai for this advice Yusuke listen to me,this isn't about you!!every decision you make will affect countless people who care about you!do u understand, you can't just be a cocky kid anymore!you have to fight, you're fighting for them Yusuke ,for their future
1:44 when you're doing 100 pushups and their voices begin to echo in your head of those that said you can't do it and you're at 98 but your arms and chest can't be felt anymore
Lamentablemente fue épico como quedo, es mejor dejarlo así 😥. Me hubiera gustado que el live action hubiera tenido este soundtrack, esta en Netflix, acortaron mucha parte pero es muy buena adaptación.
You took my teacher, and now I let you take my friend. What the hell do you want from me? Don’t you think I wanted to use my full power win this thing and go home of course. I just didn’t know how to reach it. And I have to live with that.
I was a bit sad when the story just ended when i thought oh damn the next tournament is gonna be fire and we did not even see the future when Jusuke marry Keiko chan but stil the end was better then most modern anime today.
Then suddenly, my aspirations and my astounding show, in tow, with all that kindness I practiced focused on to me, there's just overabundant flow Of karmic commumication

Struggle of Sadness, with rain, in 8D is exactly how it should be listened to as God intended.
Lol yeah
I agree it's good, though I think a thunderstorm with rain version would be great : P

First episode Yusuke gets 💀 saving a little kid from getting hit by a car. Thats all it took to know this show was 🔥🔥🔥
I watched that show high… and those battles looked insane in that state… 😭😭😭

Yu Yu Hakusho was no.2 best shonen Anime Of The 90’s just behind Dragon Ball Z similar to Naruto is no.2 00 Shonen Anime behind One Piece
Rurouni Kenshin was the best shonen anime from the 90's! Yu Yu Hakusho comes second and DBZ probably comes third. That's in terms of writing.
