I fully agree with charlenabrige life does give all of us lessons to learn from. Sometimes we all need to take a moment to reflect and realize this.we are all guided by a higher power ( for some it's their God for others maybe the cosmos or some universal consciousness.. what ever it is I believe if you try to accept it and make an effort to learn from it then at least you are trying to make yourself and the world a better place love and blessings to you all

Sorry, but I don't feel I have passed any test or failed any test. I can relate to #1 though. One day I was flying a home-built plane along a remote beach and landed just to feel the oneness with nature, as I was on my own and miles from population. I sat there in the cockpit for a few minutes just meditating in this amazing loneliness feeling as if I was the only person alive. It was an experience to behold. Then when its time to take off, my wheel dug int soft sand and so I had to exit to fix the problem, but misjudged my distance from the propeller rotating at 2000 rpm. Ouch, I was struck halfway up my arm and again all but severing 4 fingers including my thumb on my right hand. It was hard to look at and normally would have made me faint or be sick, but not this time. I remained calm. Wrapped up my arm and hand in a toilet roll (yes its true), then with super human strength lifted the whole starboard side of the plane out of the bog, climbed back it and flew that beast home one handed. Then drove myself to the hospital. They did not want to touch me and said an ambulance will ferry me to a hospital equipped with plastic surgeon but I refused and insisted the local GP fix it. Took him 6 hours but got the job done. My point? Even till now 2 years later, I am amazed at my own calmness during it all. I was very grateful to God for the experience and saving my life. It makes you wonder... had I lead with my right leg instead of my left leg, I doubt I would be writing this. How delicate life is. Edit: And yes... I always thank God for the simplest of things. I can fall over hard and thank God my injuries were not worse, where some might be asking what they did wrong for God not to prevent the fall.
