very dope, would like more stories from Kid Nice. Not sure if he mispoke, 1971? i do know that these guys were second generation b-boys. I recall many times Frosty Freeze said breaking had died out with his age group, and then there was resurgence from the younger brothers and thats the 2nd gen, LEgs, Lep, Action Pex, Kuri etc... Doze and mister Freeze might have been first gen but picked it up super young.
Many people from back then say it came from the Jr Black Spades and Zulu Kings circa 1973. TBB is said to be the first Latino Rockin crew circa 1974 -75 They say "Bronx Burning" or "Going Off" (bboy style uprocking) existed before that

@@dariog36th Was he seven years old in 1971?? But all those moves he's talking about could not have been in 1971. Richie aka Crazy Leggs invented the backspin very late 1970s if not beginning of 1980.
@@Khultan yeah Crazy Legs was only 5 years old in 71. And I imagine he was doing the backspin early in his teenage years so yeah probably around 78 or 79. Then taught it to Kidd Nice in 81.
We need to start hip hop awards for all those guys not right if they don't get it
