It's a shame that more kids these days aren't going in the kitchen with their parents or grandparents and learning their recipe's or writing them down to keep. When I was old enough to look over the top of the counter, I was in the kitchen with my mom learning everything I could on how to cook. The first thing she put me to doing was peeling onion and potatoes. When she passed away almost 10 years ago, I got all of her handwritten recipes in the box she kept them in and still use them today. One I'm happy I got was her mothers jam cake recipe.
I learned what little i could from my aging grandmother since my mother despised cooking and didnt teach me much more than baking a cake. My grandmother was an amazing cook but she became too ill to teach me more. If only she would have written it down, it was all up in that head of hers.

When she made it, she made it from memory and I don't remember how to make it myself. And it's a good thing you got to learn from your grandmother. The "Fat Doctor" actually did accidentally make one valid point. If you go on a "diet" to lose weight, especially an extreme diet you will likely gain some or all of the weight back. The problem is people go on a diet as a temporary thing, once they reach their weight loss goal they go off the diet and then gain the weight back. What's needed is not a diet, but rather a lifestyle change, a permanent lifestyle change.
But she said even if he continued to eat lettuce and run miles (even if he changed his lifestyle and switched to a healthier one). She's thinking people have a "natural set weight", and no matter what they do, there's no permanently fixing or changing that. Impossible. Plenty of guys who were puny and bulked up, plenty of fat people who changed their diet and lost weight, plenty of people living healthy lifestyles that look much better after quitting alcohol and cigarettes and weed and eating better and cutting out other unhealthy habits.
Her point is essentially people are gonna have high fat % if they are fat. No changing anything despite the lifestyle changes you make..
Yes people with diets/exercise regimes often relapse at some point and regain the weight after reverting back to their old habits, that's not what she was talking about AT ALL insanely enough!

Going on a diet you can't stick to makes you gain weight because you QUIT the diet.

Before a car wreck in 2018 I was lifting in the gym 5-6 days per week. I use to follow Paige as well as other fitness pages... I stopped after I started to see exactly what you posted here. The Photoshop, the unrealistic advice, etc. When I lifted I never looked like the woman that claimed she was "natural", why? Because I'm a biological woman and never took steroids 🤦🏼♀️ did I have muscle? Yes. Did I look like a man? Absolutely not. After my accident, after physical therapy and being cleared to go to the gym with limitations I started to notice the toxicity from these influencers and unfollowed them. Now I'm working to get back where I was before my accident, but to try to get where these ladies are without drugs is not realistic. Never compare to others. Listen to your body and aim to achieve what's good for you, not someone else.
Good you noticed. Fitness men and women today don't train to be healthy they train to show off. Its about there social media image. I see girls and guys flexing and taken selfies all wanting to be like who they follow. Then get depressed when they can't match that. Most people today don't train or eat right. Most Girls today just train there lower part so they can take selfie in there training pants that helps keep there arses up. An nothing can be said to them as you'll be called a body shamer. @@Air7Rhythms thank you, I appreciate it. I was 193 lbs last year, I'm at 136 lbs right now. Goal is 125 lbs with the muscle I had prior. I looked more like Ana Cheri prior. I am aware she has breast implants (so do I) and she gets lip filler and possibly Botox etc. but she's not taking steroids that's for sure. No Botox for me though. My breast implants were for reconstruction. I'm also not for these influencers with BBLs claiming glute workouts did it... I'm a curvy girl even at my fitest, so is Ana Cheri... And I don't have a BBL I would fully admit if I did. If the thighs don't match it's fake.

Same here. I started in March roughly 8 months ago. It's all discipline and putting the fork down. Very rarely do I eat bread, pasta, potatoes or sugar. Down from 238.9 to 178.6 as of today. I haven't taken any kind of meds to do this. I don't even exercise though I'm trying to start.

I once was in love with a woman who had three kids. I was ok with them, and she didn't really had the super high standards modern women do. In the end I was diagnosed with diabetes type II, and I could not eat exactly everything, I almost passed out in a date because it was either I eat and die or not eat and die, and that ruined our relationship.
8 years later I am diabetes free after years of diet and workout, I got married to a wonderful lady older than me, no kids, we have two dogs and two cats, we live a simple, yet relaxed life. I couldn't have asked for a better partner.

My brother was a porker until college. Then he met a good chick that motivated him. He went from 5'9" 280lbs to 180lbs pretty jacked in almost 3 years. He dedicated himself to a healthier DIET and put himself in a calorie deficit... That was almost 10 years ago and he has stayed under 200lbs the entire time.... Its absolutely possible...

@@Des420 Thanks friend! It's an odd thing to say for most people, but I'm glad my mom isn't in my life any longer. She emotionally abused my siblings and I while we were growing up to the point that I'd normalized it, and it wasn't until I saw her start to do the same thing to my kids that it really started to click with me.
Being forced to deal with it directly has actually led to a lot of healing for myself and my siblings.

Men are generally more honest when it comes to self assessment. I'm a 4. Just below average. Main reason being I'm overweight at 120kg. If I got myself to the gym I could probably work my way to a 5. A woman will be 120kg+ 5' 2" and claim she's a 10. Like really bro.

When me and my older sister was in her car, discussing our depression with one another, and filling the distant relationship hole that we had with a bit of bonding, I began with another subject, and told her that a lot of people were depressed because of social media- (Which wasn't really the case for me, because a lot of my depression came from the abandonment of my mother.) Upon thinking for a bit, she agreed with me, and immediately broke down why that was the case.
When people go onto many of these social media apps; IG, Facebook, Twitter, etc, they see all of these people that they so desperately want to be. They see people with all of these materialistic things, and that too, becomes their desires as well, knowing just about next to nothing when it comes to how these people got to look the way they do, and how they managed to attain said things.
She showed me a picture of a fairly pretty, light-skinned woman, who had just about the nicest outfits on in her photos, while additionally being in the nicest backgrounds.
What she told me when showing me the image, was technically, "Don't believe everything you see on social media. These people that you see on here, may not be living the life that you think they are. This woman borrowed all of these good looking outfits from people she knew, and she spends loads of money on herself to make sure she looks the way she does. Because of this, her son goes to school looking "popped down." (Meaning musty and untidy.) She doesn't look out for his well being, and the poor kid gets made fun of because of that. She wants to look good for social media, and that, is more inportant to her, than her own child. That just goes to show you that not everything on social media is real. Some people may look good for the camera and everything, but they themselves wouldn't even be as financially stable as you."
When I heard this, I couldn't help but smile in joy and relief. The limited part of my perspective on life, was basically opened up to newer, and much more elevated perspectives.
This woman, in short, makes sure to spend all of her time, money and effort, into social media for the clout and the attention, but she can never take care of her own son.
That's the reality of social media.
Do you see an extremely good looking, and seemingly perfect woman? Too bad, it's a bunch of skin care products shoved into the pores of her skin, as well as loads of makeup on her face. Do you see a guy flexing hundreds, if not thousands of dollars over IG? Don't worry. It's probably stolen, or fake money. Do you see some dude flexing how they own such a lovely car? Don't worry, because it's probably a rental.
Don't be afraid to doubt what you see on social media, because a lot of what is on social media, is nothing but fradulence. My best advice to anyone out there, is to not get so invested in the lives of others, and mind your business. The more invested you are, the more depressed you'll get.

I'll tell ya fellas I used to bodybuild until injuries stopped it. I got pretty deep into it. Training with national level amateur competitors, even had a leg training partner that got her IFBB pro card. She ended up doing Ms. Olympia a few times and placed top 5. She was no BS in the gym. Very pretty as well. Whoever was doing her cycles for her, did a fantastic job because she didn't get the male look to her at all. With that said, that look was never something I was attracted to, but I do respect the hell out of women bodybuilders. Bodybuilding is already a niche thing that a lot of people look down their noses at, it's even harder for the girls doing it. One thing I noticed with women bodybuilders is they're pretty self aware of it. They know most men don't find it attractive and a lot of them will tell you that.
