the blackbox is nicer in a few aspects though. crystal clear quality, beautiful fx and filter/compressor/eq, silky smooth loop functionality, compatible with at least up to 1tb micro sd card
Yeah it would be really nice if the DT/2 had record trigs like the Octatrack does. It would also be nice to have a slider… but they may as well just release an Octatrack X2…
very cool workflow.. thanks! i think it is so easy for Elektron to add channel selection and "play after stop" option in the recording window before you start to record, It will make the looping process much more flowing. cheers
It's a great trick, even for a song, not performance only. You can basically emulate what the syntakt does with its effect track. You record whatever you want to globally apply effects to and at some point, you just mute everything else and have only the one to modulate on. Then back to the rest of the song when finished. I will definitely use it in the future. Thanks.
Nice tut.. might be a little sketchy in a live or improv setting, but with practice I guess you could get pretty quick with it. Also, as a note you could set up a few performance fx tracks by setting up triggers for repeats and have param locks and such pre set in the sequencer of this track, So when you pull it in your sequence will auto mangle. Could have several tracks with different "mangle" sequences you could switch between. Just have to copy track sound and paste to other tracks.. Cool idea.. got me thinkin a bit. Even not live, its a quick way to generate alt sequences.
@@snoggg6344 for sure.. not quite brave enough yet to try it at a big show but maybe a low-pressure one :) And that’s a good call!! Would be a really cool way to prep a great performance 🙌
Great thinking! Can’t wait to try this out. Just thinking, if you set up your track 16 to have a trig on the 1 (before recording) and then record into it as you usually do does that mean that once you assign the sample recorded to track 16 it should play back automatically? Not at the digi atm but in theory it should work
cool,,, I think that the problem though is that the digitakt now Is working only as a recorder and playback of this loop,, if you'd like to record another loop while playing from diigtakt the one you recorded, I think that this in not possible, right?
Hmm you can record on top of the existing loop in the looper, but then you would have to resample that new loop onto an empty track in Digitakt.. seems like a lot of trouble I suppose :)
Octatrack does this a lot better in one unit. I hope they update it soon!!
I want to try the Octatrack so bad!!

Right!! I hope they implement that, would be a total gamechanger for us loopers :)

For sure!! I really want to get my hands on a Syntakt, they look really fun. Maybe Elektron will give us record trigs on these devices at some point!
Cool. Iguess you can do the same just arming the track for incoming audio and just hit play on the Blackbox (or other device)?
Yep for sure! Just set the threshold and hit play and you should be good
will try with loopypro and digitakt
Nice! Been hearing great things about loopy pro, I gotta try it out
@ its very good

Do you have to press record on the one? Or can you also set a record trig, like on the octatrack?
@@FuZZbaLLbee you do have to physically press record, no record trig like on octatrack… at least not yet!! 🤞

Good call!! Yes, that would remove a step for sure.. I'll mess around with that!
Cool man. Is there a way to contact you? Would like to share a digitakt II project with you

yea you can select which track you want to resample
live looping i use ableton. i need no blackbock and no need for digitakt, maybe my octatrack.
Just demonstrates the recording capabilities from D2, quite basic, didn’t need a full video for that tbh, it’s not live looping at all
be a happy lil guy
Chill sweety
