아 샬이님 그림체가 구관인형 닮았다 했는데 정말 영향 받으신거였구나
이 분은......어....음.....노력이 엄청나시긴 한데 재능도 그만큼 엄청나신듯.....와.....어떻게 저렇게 발전하지....?

@@box9314 이 분야에 대해서 모르는 애들이나 재능재능거리지 말라하지 종사자들이 이 영상 보면 무조건 샬이님 재능이 대단하다고 할거다 물론 노력도 많이 하셨겠지만 완케님이나 샬이님이나 천재인거다 우리는 범접할 수 없음. 이분들이랑 같은 노력을 해도 절대 따라가지 못한다는건 사실임

아진짜 너무 존경스럽다.. 저도 한때는 그림 잘그리려고 노력해본적있었는데 진짜 쉬운게아니에요 하루에 2시간은 그림그리자고 마음먹으면 이게 점점 나태해져가지고 결국은 그림그리는걸 미루게되거든요 근데 저런식으로 발전했다는거는 진짜.. 존경스러워요
근데 그림그리는사람은 거의 좋아해서그리는거라 (입시준비전까지는,,)하루종일그리면 금방 느실꺼에요
ᅳᅳᅳᅳᅳ 그런가요.,ㅜㅜㅠ 저는 약간 디지털로 잘 그리고 싶은데 오히려 연필로 그리는 것보다 태블릿으로 그리는게 더 어렵더라구요.. 채색도 어떻게해야할지 막막하고
저같은경우는 삘오면 6시긴은 기본으로 팬잡고 있었죠... 물론 과거형 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

너무 막연히 나는 잘그릴거다아아아! 이러면서 하면 당연히 금방 질리고 재미없어요.
차라리 간단한 목표치를 정해서 하루에 옷주름 크로키5장, 누드크로키 5장. 혹은 해부학 몇페이지에서 몇페이지까지. 이런식으로 할수있을만큼 목표를 잡고 해보세요

@健昭雄 yes! And not just that but what you are learning, when I started I didn't know what I should study or that I should study at all, I learned that the fundamentals existed on a foro now with RUclips videos I'm learning faster
Plus I'm thinking on taking some courses on schoolism to get a "jump"
I think that with a good view on whe=e you want to go and what to study you can get there on a year or two
@健昭雄 That's not what you should be doing. I mean, not just that. Of course you must draw with references if you want to improve. But just copying references won't teach you much. Learning anatomy, perspective, colour theory is what will make your art grow. If you add references to the equation, I'm sure you could improve like Shal.e if you work hard enough ^^
Ricardo Freitas I have question here what you most emphasise on studies from books,artist etc or making finished drawings or more personal works
健昭雄 I will be not saying do draw like that I know art goals are good but don't set it for one day take each subjects for 5-7 days I was drawing like that couldn't rembered anything after that so at least try to give time for few days or months
i can’t begin enough to thank you for this. my ego and motivation is fragile and it’s not surprising that this made me feel a bit down, but what did surprise me was how even though my heart aches, that i have a sudden burn in my chest to get better. to be able to look back a year in the future and say that i’m proud of myself. thank you :)

왜 다 댓글이 재능얘기밖에 없지
샬이님 입장에서는 열심히 하루에 몇시간씩 노력해서 그림실력을 쌓은건데 다른사람들이 무조건 다 재능이라고 치부하고 그 수많은 노력들을 무시해버리면 너무 속상할것같음..
유튜브 댓글창은 그정도단계까지도 생각을 못하는 유저들이 대부분이죠.
그림만 그리는 애가 있는데 걔 지금 그림 되게 못그림 진짜 못그리는데 진짜 가끔 취미로 그리는애는 겁나 잘그림 한마디로 재능이에요 재능없인 안됨 노력도 재능임 자기가 노력안해놓고 재능 없다는건 그냥 그림을 잘 그릴려는 욕구가 부족한거고
노력도 있긴한데 재능이 무족건70퍼 먹고감 공부도 못할애들은 암만 해도 못하고 게임도 못할애들은 아무리해도 못함 재능이 있다는건 확실함 재능이랑 노력이 합쳐져서 저렇게 된거
재능없으면 저분과 동일한 시간과 노력을 투자해도 저분처럼 안나옴
그리고 확실한건 저분은 감각이 있음
저 2015년때 부터 샬이님 블로그 구독해 왔던 사람인데요...이분 진짜 피나도록 노력하셨어요 그냥 재능이다라고 치부해 버리기엔 진짜 그럴 수 없는 노력이요...

@Hatwox Yea im currently imitating pictures as well... i posted the comment 6 months ago and i've indeed improved a lot (from my own standard), but the difficult part is always to create something from your imagination rather than copy other people's work or photos... it's not just the idea that relevant, the skills are important too and i wonder how i can improve from this point...
@@cyan-chunyuezheng7783 actually if you polish your art by imitating other artworks, deconstructing them into pieces that you can understand, rinse and repeat that, then you'll grow as an artist. I hope your art keeps getting better and better

@@cyan-chunyuezheng7783 It also helped me to make pins on Pinterest, for example which styles I like, or which certain part like hair, eyes etc. I prefer. After I find a lot, I try drawing what I liked in one character and improve this. With this you can find your own style in order to create something from your imagination. Then, I look for poses and perspectives which interest me. After that, I practice this as well.
So when I practiced that, I try look for certain background styles I like and try drawing them, practice that etc.
It takes a lot of your free time to find something and try drawing it, but after a long time (e.g. months or even years) you finally come near your own style and with all the illustrations you have seen and practiced with, you get a hang of how you can create something by imagination and inspiration.
I feel so connected to you after watching this video and make me love your art even more. I was also a writer before I was an artist and I started to paint because I wanted to bring my stories to life and share them with the world, hoping to give hope to people, bring them into another world and touch them. I still have a long way to go, but your progress inspires me sooo much! Thank you for this!

Yup, the improvement after the first 10 months is something that took me years ;-; (and some might argue I'm not even there yet)

와 재능도 재능이지만 블로그에 거의 매일같이 꾸준히 연습 그림을 올리는 끈기와
구체관절 인형을 보고 단순히 몇번 그려보는게 아니라 직접 만들어보면서 그림 작업에 적용할 생각을 했다는게 정말 대단한것같아요
저는 그림은 그리는것은 당연히 능력 밖이고 봐도 우와 예쁘다 생각하고 끝일정도로 문외한이지만
지금까지의 노력이 뜨개실처럼 촘촘하게 모여 최근의 그림에도 나타나고 있다는 것만큼은 잘 느껴지네요

4:24 헐 아니 간만에 ㅠㅠ 이 그림진짜 좋어했는데 나츠 ㅠㅠ 대박 ㅜㅜㅜ
저는 우울증이 진짜 심하게 걸렸었는데 옛날부터 꾸준히 좋아해오던 그림그리기로 스트레스를 풀었었죠. 2년동안 미친듯이 매일매일 그림을 그렸었어요. 덕분에 실력은 미친듯이 올라갔죠....
전 주변에서 재능이있다 하니 이게 내 앞으로의 미래다 생각했는데 그리다보니 다른사람의 시선이 중요하게 생각되어 의식하고 입시미술이란 벽이 너무 크게 다가오고 틀안에 갇혀진다는 생각이들어 포기했어요. 한 1년넘게..? 쉬었죠.
좋은 선택이 아니였어요. 제가 끈끼도 없었고 ㅎ
요즘 다시 무기력해지고 우울해지다보니 그림을 다시 시작하는데 두렵네요. 나중에 키보드 두드리고 있을지 디자인을 하고 있을지 백수일지 모르는 일이지만 도전해보려고 합니다.
샬이님을 보고 다짐하게 됬어요!!! 쉬면서도 종종 보러왔었는데 그 꾸준함이 너무 멋지십니다

The fact that you don’t need to have a wholesome talent about drawing or art :)) all you need are practice and passion :33
@@yukineko7386 drawing is not a talent it's a skill, some people are gifted in that they can do can understand the fundamentals quicker than most people and with this they know how to manipulate the techniques but for years others who don't know get stumped into believing drawing is a gift / talent so they can't do it when all it takes is practice just like any other skill.
Yuki Neko while I agree with what you’re saying I feel it’s important to stress that just drawing every day something isn’t really a way to improve, rather you should focus on certain aspects to practice for your art. As an artist myself (my art is on my RUclips channel, lol) I don’t improve easily if I just “practice” so I recommend drawing something and have artist critique it to find your weak spots in your art and then practice on them. Sorry if this doesn’t make sense!
@@usagihika it does, only through critiquing can we get feedback on the development of our skills and where to improve. And also you're right about drawing something cus just practice everyday does not really do it . you have to decide ; ok I'm not good at hands , or perspective so I'm going practice on drawing hands, you break it up into simple shapes and poses... Cus doing random things does not help improvement and I can tell you that, I have been there.
Voidless Starlight by this I mean not specifically practicing something, people just assume that by just drawing you’ll improve, which yes it could improve but in order to improve drastically you’ll have to focus on certain parts. I find that most beginners have trouble seeing what they’re doing wrong so asking for criticism is a way they can have their mistakes be spot out

Oh yea I remember my evolution with drawing:
2016: it was the year I started to draw, it was not that good but it took 2 hours to finish
2017: I improved more, i was able to draw Chidi characters now! But I was still improving
2018: learned how to edit gacha character and re draw them, I started to draw anime style but it was not that professional.
2019: learned some new ways to draw, and was able to draw my profile pic
2020: I was able to try to draw in TPN anime style and I’m now great at drawing only in TPN anime style like drawings.

Follow other tutorials and try to copy other artists.
And for the people that says “keep drawing everyday”, don’t follow them, if you keep drawing everyday you’ll get no where.

I agree. With my opinion and from my experience, I think drawing everyday does help you get better BUT that's only IF you put in the actual work into improving skills that you're lacking in - such as learning how to draw things that you'd usually avoid drawing, like gesture drawing, muscle drawing, or drawing in different styles or with different mediums for example. If you ain't struggling, you ain't learning (Trust me, even if you you suck at it at least you're still practicing lol. Just don't be those bums who complain about how bad their art is and how its so unfair even though they never really tried to begin with :/ art is a struggle and can be overwhelming ik but u need to face it to improve.)
Also to everyone! Don't be that person who undermines other artists' hard work behind their art because you've only seen their best works now. They've reached that peak because they've had to deal with countless hours of polishing their craft. Plus at some point before, they also had to go through with how you're feeling right now until they overcame that frustration (so you shouldn't compare your "bad" art to their "better" art and feel discouraged :) Only compare your art to theirs if you're trying to learn something or you want to feel motivated!)
Ofc I am me and you are you, so do what works best for you :) But so far for me and my learning, I now feel relieved that I can notice and critic my shortcomings so I can improve next time instead of feeling like a failure lol
TL:DR = ur bad art is only temporary. Take one step at a time and just keep praticing. Be easy on yourself sometimes if you don't meet your expectations and for better improvement, don't just draw - learn!

I feel so motivated now. Seeing someone improve quickly makes me think i can too. I mean It took me 6 years to learn how to draw hands, I look at reference of hands (which is not realistic yet btw) making hand bases, blah blah still my hand drawings are not the best but it's much better than before, so I'm proud of my self. You inspire me to keep drawing and work hard. I also want to make money using my talent so i can help my mom, dad and my family. ❤️

I've dreamed and keep dreaming in a world where humanity can be kind toward nature, animals and ourselves. A world with emotional and financial education in a touching and funny way.
I've wondered how to help in this society to raise in a creative and lovely way our childrens of tomorrow to keep this planet, even if i don't have kids by my own, and knowing this is not a belonging nor something to own, but to grew up and raise, i want to use my art to serve this purporse.
Following my dreams on becoming an animator, i travelled overseas against my family will and my surrounding, many words for stop my dreams i've heard, and many others to keep at all costs.
One day on the last year too many things happened in my life and in my country, and all around the world, i decided to go home to rest for a while, and i thought my journey was worth but so painful and i didn't get was i was searching for. Until one day i got the chance to join into an online school for teaching people how to draw and animate.
My dream saw a light. I studied psychology in order to understand my brother and people who can not control their anger, and in order to understand people and company them.
Now all the path i've cross so far is on a elipse, i see everything connected and now i'm trying with all my heart to share cheers and trust for people who have decided start drawing and painting after years and years, people from all around the world and ages.
My boss and one of the most beautiful people i ever met in this life, told me he wanted to let our student and the world know about the process of becoming and artist and not about talent but everyday practice and try hard. He told me, he wanted to find people who can inspire people by doing what they love, people who inspire by their actions, and today even just watching this video i feel you are of course one of those wonderful people.
So please keep doing your art, i will be rooting for you and learning korean to read your stories, i wil see your videos and share your art with people i know so far, i want the world can see you too.
Just if by chance you get to read this testament, i keep telling you, thank you for keep on making your dreams come true. And all the love and cheers on keep making your stories, i'm willing to read them and to know what message you want to give to the world.

I’m no where near your level in fact- I’ve been drawing since I was a child but I fell out of love with it and just recently came back to it. One good thing that I’ll mention is that my progress is steady! I’ve always lacked confidence and love to share how far I’ve and going with the world, but I have a tendency to compare and I go back into the shadows. Every time I see your vidz you spark my creativity and I’m rush towards my tablet! And this vid is no difference. It inspired me to pick up my pen, and I was told that I’m not alone. Thank you.🤗🤍🤍

This is amazing! I've loved your artwork for a while now, and never realized you were the artist who drew that Natsu Dragneel fanart!! I hope you get your confidence back because you truly are an inspiration, and doing amazing. I started drawing this January at the age of 19 after after not drawing for years, and your channel is one that made me wanna try drawing again :) I quit when I was younger as I was a perfectionist and drawing was stressing me out, but nowadays I'm enjoying it and finding more amazing artists like you. This was incredibly inspirational. I relate to so many things you said. There's a world in my mind that I want to put out there for people to see. Right now I'm still getting the anatomy down. The forearm muscles and the back muscles are proving to be difficult, but I'm not giving up. You are one of my favorite artists and my art style will definitely inherit some of your style traits. I won't be stealing of course, I'm just very inspired by your work!
I hope you achieve your dreams, and keep it up. Artists tend to feel down when they can't make their dreams come true, but you just have to press on. You will eventually reach your end goal!

damn the progression is so rapid, even within a few months the change is noticeable, how does one improve so quickly?
Perseverance and hard work i guess
Step out of your comfort zone, study, watch videos of people teaching stuff about illustration and concept art, build and solidify your foundations, and if possible, go to a class or two taught by professionals. The most important is to try new stuff all the time. There is probably so much work Shal.e didn't show in their video that are the "leftovers", works that failed or ended up being practice only. So don't shame yourself into making every piece perfect. If you try something new and find yourself in a corner, leave it for a while and move onto learning something else; after a few months you'll come back to it and be able to work through that wall with your newfound knowledge. Always be on the move and don't be a perfectionist, that's my tip.

저도 이분 말에 동의.......저도 그림쟁이 학생이고 왠만하면 전 독학이나 영상은 봐도 존경하는 사람은 없습니다. 이유는 존경을 하면 패배감이 느껴져서 싫거든요....결과는 패배이긴 하지만........ 크흠......근데 샬이님은 7년만에 저정도의 그림을 발전해 왔고 점토을 사용해서 최대한 살려봐서 저 그림을 탄생 시킨 샬이님의 실력이 너무 존경스러워서 전 샬이님만 존경합니다. 솔직히 전 저정도 그림 발전 할려면 아마 2년은 더 필요함.........솔직히 샬이님 같이 노력하는 다이아 손은 여태 살면서 본적이 없음.....

Please notice me, i know this is really late but omg you're so good, and the fact that you didn't give up on drawings makes me feel so confident, yet I know i can never be good at drawing like that so I kind of gave up, sometimes i pick it up again but it's still really hard. Also the part where you talked about Kindred from LOL make me sooo happy knowing someone I watch play league of legends.
