    608K views... I'm pretty sure at least 250K of those are from me watching this video over and over and over. Billy has to be one of the most captivating performers of his generation among any genre and this video shows why. So great, so much fun, so much enthusiasm and respect among the musicians. Mighty fine, indeed.

      Almost all of the other views are mine! I had the immense pleasure of seeing him play live in Manchester, England at the end of last year. It was an absolutely spectacular gig!

    The key to being this caliber, is absolutely being the music. These guys are their own frequency. They have fun with it every single note, measure and riff they play. I haven't heard one song from Billy that hasn't blown me away in some form or another.

    Killer playing and singing there. I love where he quotes Big Sandy at 5:51 and then Sutton kicks the same quote back to him, only with harmony. Those guys both know how to listen.

    Man, I was there for this and it was incredible.
    I think what makes it so special is that Billy is just throwing out everything he has got and completely trusts that Bryan Sutton is going to toss it right back to him. It elevates them both.

    I've always said "bluegrass is to country what metal is to rock and roll", to me Billy Strings solidifies my definition. I'm lucky that I love both metal and bluegrass, no damned lucky to be alive at the right time to hear Billy Strings perform. Could one imagine how sorrowful life would be if had never experienced Bill Strings?

    I've heard of Billy Strings and knew he was good but yesterday and today I have been watching many of his videos and have to say he is extremely good. One of the best of all time, even at his young age.

      @@buddythatcher5421 what he has some many people wouldn't achieve even if they play guitar everyday. Takes soul and hardwork. Break down some of his concerts how he progresses the songs uniquely throughout as you go on the journey. Not everyone can feel that. Even if you play forever.
      He has it. Many don't.

    Billy was artist at large at Grey Fox 2019. I was a volunteer with backstage pass. I got to see UP CLOSE that Billy is a music geek, totally tripping on Del McCoury and the Earls of Leicester, just like everybody else. He played with dang near every act on the bill, not showing off, but adding to each group. Props. I hope he I'm listening 20 years from now.

    First heard the Outlaws do this number on one of their righteous southern rock albums - then Tony Rice did a version and now this wow ...... love these two cats playing together - sweet! That break around the 7 minute mark is just ridiculous!

    Incredible talent.

      Allan Levy that’s what you get for growing up in the city lol but I myself did the same thing I didn’t start investigating other music genres until I heard Gerry Garcia’s album Old and In the way after that I figured if the Grateful Dead dig bluegrass it might be worth taking a look at

      That's the great thing about RUclips. You can find this or another Billy Strings song and then go back and see him as a kid with his dad on the couch. Lots of interviews and Billy is always well spoken and nice, there's videos of him breaking down his rig and telling stories of playing at age six.       you may be shocked... it was a far, far cry from a field of flowers. If you go to his channel you may read some background story. It began in a trailer park of darkness, mischief and mayhem his entire childhood, except his step dad taught him bluegrass and that was his saving grace. But all the hardship shaped him and gave him a lot of unique insights to create songs with and clearly, he has a powerful Will (which is his name ~ WillIAm)🙏

    6:10 - heavy metal Billy. I went to college (in the 70s) with guys who had that same look in their eyes that Billy F. gets when he's taking his breaks on the banjo. Like, 'We gonna do this or not, dude?'
