Sure I can! When looking to see if your item can sell on Amazon, simply input the UPC code in the "Add a Product" option window - if it is in the database, you can sell it! Does that help?
Great video; question. I am a newbie and have a lot of books. Most are old; how do I list them; pack them, and ship them. Do I need a printer; or can I take them to the post office. I have never done anything like this before. I am a part time caregiver for a Father that has kidney failure at 90 young. I have subscribed to your channel and appreciate anything that you can offer.
rebecca Shetter To start - thanks for watching and commenting. Now for your books, look up the title in Amazon. If you find one like yours (same cover etc) you can list it. When you have been a seller for a while, you can submit your book to be included in the Amazon database. You do not need a printer. You can take books ready to ship to the PO and pay to ship - use MEDIA RATE shipping. I package my books in boxes. Some people use bubble mailers but I think they can still get banged around in shipping so I use boxes. Hope this helps!
Hi Wesley, I have products which are slightly different from the products listed on amazon, i also do not have any ispn etc numbers from them. How can i list such a product on amazon? Thank you for your time.
To list a physical product you must have a UPC code (ISBN are for books and similar media). Unless the item is IDENTICAL but your code is different. If that is the case you can list it under the "correct" UPC and note it the details what your UPC code is on the item. Hope that helps!
You will be notified via email when you have a sale - also on your Amazon "dashboard" it will show as a sale - as for shipping...I have tons of videos on that :-) Thanks for watching and commenting!
How much does it cost to list on Amazon? How do you look up your detail list of fee's and what are the time frames that you can list for and do they have only for sale type of listings and not auctions?
Thanks for the informative video! I am listing a whole bunch of extra astro bright eclipse black. I do not have the upc codes or original packaging info. How would I put these up for sale? I did see that there are others selling the same kind but they are selling different styles or quantities. I tried listing it as a whole new product but then it asks me for manufacture model or number?
+Veronica D You can try to list is as a "used" item - then note in the description they are like new, just not in package (if that is the case). Does this help? Thanks for watching and commenting.
+Salim Amir none of the above, I have my own items that I list ship from my home. When people are just getting started they have no business trying to attempt dropshipping.
SoulBaron Free to list - fees vary a bit on the item. And amazon does give a shipping credit so I find with a fee balanced by the shipping credit it is almost negligible.
Thanks for the info.I have a question? Is it better to ship from your home ? If I ship the book to Amazon.Do they charge me a rent fee at their warehouse, if the item is not sold with in a time period? Thx
I am still an individual seller - never done FBA - I have several videos about shipping etc. Basically you can use either a sturdy bubble mailer, or a small, flat box.
Great video! It was very helpful. However, what if we are selling an item without a particular code or specific selling description, for example, a stuffed animal or something we made? We appreciate your experience and friendly sweet delivery!
If you have not been on Amazon for a time, you will not be allowed to sell your own things. You will only be allowed to sell what is already listed in the database. AFTER you have been on a while Amazon SOMETIMES allows people to add their own items (antiques, collectibles etc) - exception to this are books that are self published of course. I suggest eBay, Etsy, or your own blog/website to sell things you have made...Thanks for watching and commenting!
The "product information" section that reads "This straight from the hip handbook by..." - see 3:02 - how do you go about filling this section in when you have created your own page for your own product? I've filled in everything else ("product details" etc) but there doesn't seem to be a way to write in the product info in this space.
Hi. Your video was just what I needed. Trying to list my first item. I am not understanding the shipping program. Is it like on ebay where you weigh each item and know how much to charge? Amazon pays for shipping? Sorry. Confused
Thanks for watching and asking this question! OK...Amazon charges the buyer for shipping. They give a shipping credit to the seller. The seller (you) then pays to ship the item. It is usually a "wash" with the credit and the actual shipping cost but sometimes Amazon credit is a little short and sometimes its a little over the actual cost. Does that help?
As of now (policies change all the time) you can only list on Amazon what they have in the database...BUT once you are on and selling for a bit and get good track record, you will possibly be permitted to add items to the database...I was given that ability after about a year selling there....
Hummm...maybe you need to clear cache/history and reboot. Sometimes computers just lag a bit or need to "refresh"...let me know if this solves your problem or not and thanks for watching and commenting.
Hey! Thanks for the video. I have listed a few items already but when I go to the product and click on New/Used I don't see my listing there? How do I even know Amazon is advertising my listing if I can't even find it myself? Thanks.
Hey thanks for watching and commenting. When you first list, it will take a while for YOUR listing to "appear" on Amazon. Give it 24 hours and check again. If you still don't see it, REPORT it! :-)
WesleyGW I'll have to search for my items again but I've checked a few times weeks later and still haven't seen it when I do an actual search for my product!
Yes and no...I know, right?! OK...if you are an established seller, they will let you know you can add things to the catalog...otherwise at the start, you have to work with items in the database...but get creative! I have found items in the database with different UPC codes but same item so I could then list it ...and it sold! so....there's that....I know - very wishy washy answer huh?! LOL
Hi, thanks for the sharing. I'd like to ask how you can offer the shipping free although you retained the 3.99 shipping cost. I already changed shipping model to ZERO for UK but when I list item the 4.19 shipping cost can't just be removed or edited. Do you know how to?
When you register to sell on Amazon you need to include a bank account - checking or saving etc - money accumulates in your Amazon account until you initiate a transfer OR it will be sent once a week otherwise....hope that helps!
Hello, thanks for making this video. I do have a question. when listing an item and its going to be a merchant fulfill, do you have to figure out how much to charge for shipping on each item and input weights and measurements and do I need an account with UPS or does it automatically figure it out on its own and do we use the Amazon shipping rates as when one is shipping a box to FBA? thanks
+Epi Anguiano WOW! Thanks for all these questions. In short, always figure what it will cost for the item to get to the buyer...ALL costs. And make sure the buyer's price reflects these costs or you will end up owing money and not making money. Personally I do not do drop shipping/private label/FBA etc and can not suggest methods for these avenues. Good luck to you.
Block unless FBA means you can only offer that item if you use the FBA system: Fulfillment By Amazon. Thanks for watching and commenting and good luck!
Hi, I've listed a lot with Ebay but Amazon is quite different. When I hit the sell button, and type in my product to sell which was a bracelet, it came up with 3 other bracelets. Out beside it, it says Sell yours. I clicked on it and filled out everything but the title is wrong. How can I change the title to match my bracelet? Thanks!
Cindy Rogers You can only list what is in the Amazon database exactly. You can submit a "correction" to Amazon but they don't always do those corrections. When you have listed and sold for a time, you can then add items to the Amazon database, but that is later.
Hi i'm Amazon newbie. Trying to sell cinderella style prom gown. When I enter it it brings me to dresses that look nothing like mine. I try to create new but it keeps looping me around. Gives me catagories like "costumes? sports wear???. Could you do video on items new category / any advice? thanks for great video.
dadrules714 Since you are new - you can't yet add items to the database on Amazon. If it is not coming up with the UPC on the dress (if it is new) try to search by a description then note the alternate UPC in your description. Otherwise go for eBay or maybe Etsy to list it - good luck! Thanks for watching and commenting!
+WesleyGW Thanks my problem was; it's second hand. my daughter only wore it once (prom) so it's in excellent Cond and we paid to have it professionally dry cleaned. But you can't sell used dress' on Amazon. ( must be new item) I guess we could have tucked the tag in left it on but honesty is best policy. Thanks. Anyone interested in New U.S.A hand poured set polished fine gold/silv genuine gemstone jewelry or Alfred Angelo cinderella gown see me 2adirondack EBay...... Sorry about the plug
+ali hawa If you use a business account, it is a monthly fee plus a % of sales. A personal account is just % of sales...yes, the percents can be around 3-10 more or less...
+Connie J Free shipping is only an option for sellers who participate in FBA (Fulfillment By Amazon). Otherwise shipping changes based on the time frame you can promise delivery. Does that help? Let me know and thanks again for watching and commenting.
Hello, Thanks for your video its very useful. I need to know could I sell hundered of items on Amazon? if I could how much the cost I should pay to Amazon ? Thanks again
Hello Wesley, I am trying to keep the coffee listing in amazon. But now they are even asking me te product codes and all. Usually we use to have our listings on ebay those process were easy when compared to amazon.
Yes, Amazon is a more detailed requirement especially when adding item to their database. eBay is more "devil may care" when allowing listings. If your product is legitimate and is produced will all the proper requirements for coffee packaging, you will be able to list it as a product on Amazon...be patient and do what they require. Or you can sell the item on your own website and drive traffice to it with advertising and promotion too!
Hello Weseley, Thanks for your response. You can have a look on my ebay products here www.ebay.com/usr/uttamstores I am trying to enter in US and UK market but could'nt. Kindly let me know any of your suggestions on my stores and products. Your opinion will be a great help to boost my business here. Regards, Zain
+Aaron QH If you are adding an item to the database, it will take time - they must approve the listing and check all details etc. But if the item is already in the database, and you are merely adding one to sell, it usually takes less than a day to see it in listings.
That's about 30% - I know it seems like a lot, but that is about how much you get on eBay too - remember you have to calculate the Paypal fees to compare "apples to apples" of Amazon vs. eBay
Hello, i have a product that i privately label them with my own brand. This item does not have any code or UPC or any form of ID, how can i continue add my product if such information is required? thank you for your time
I have 3 questions. If I am selling as an individual can I find a site to get products from without have a company name? If I need a company name, how do I do that? If I can sell small scale without a company name, how do I find legitimate sites to get product from?
+jena rice To #1 - yes. To #2 - it is called a DBA, Doing Business As and you get it from your local County Clerk office and it covers you in your state. A national business name is another level you don't need ehen getting started. #3is more difficult, you will need to do research and make requests based on products you want to carry. But I suggest you DO NOT do these things ehen getting started. Begin selling as an individual selling and shipping your own items.
If I click "Sell Yours" while listing a new product and my product is a soft cover while the "Sell Yours" is a hard cover, will me simply editing this one difference in the edit section change it? if not what is the best option?
+Matthew Dandridge Generally a book will have multi options in inventory under the heading of one title. Look for that option and click through until you find the "sell yours". Otherwise search for the title and add "soft cover" or "paperback" in your search. Still not finding it? You will need to add the item to the database. This option is only available to sellers who have been on Amazon for a time...thanks for watching and asking this great question!
Thanks for the great video. I am just a beginner to Amazon, but have been selling on a local site. Do you ever have problems with people claiming they didn't receive their package and asking for a full refund. What is Amazons refund policy, and can it be modified? Will adding tracking prevent this problem? Thanks so much for you advice and help...........Mike
Mr Mike I've had one person claim to not get something but I had a tracking number as proof - it was via Ebay not Amazon. Not sure Amazon's policy but I bet it favors the buyer. BUT if you have a tracking number (required in Amazon) there should be no issues with fraud per se. Hope this helps!
I think that when you list a magazine that already is in the database but it is a new issue, you have to list it as a new product, is that right? thanks for your help
Only list as new if it looks totally new - especially magazines/books etc. I usually put in my description something like - "Actually been read one time but looks like it is right off the bookshelf" etc. and list it as Used - Excellent condition.
WesleyGW Thanks for your answer W but that was not my question, not how it looks the magazine but how you post a new isse from a magazine that is already on the database...
sl2k4u OOPS - misunderstood...OK, so if you have something to sell (regardless of what) if you are in your Amazon seller account and find it via search in the "add product" area or search for the item in the store area...if you see an option to "sell yours now" or "sell one like this" then yes, you can sell it - otherwise the publisher/manufacturer may have a restriction for a time because it is new - hope this helps
Thanks for your help Wesley, the problem is that I a have huge box with magazines from the UK and none of them is on the database and for each one I try to sell, I have to create a new product, which it can be done but it is harder to do.
You would have to put in the request to Amazon to get approved to sell the coffee...also I think you would be required to start with a business account vs. a personal one...
how can I sell with inventory that is, somewhere else. How can I get a supplier to ship to amazon continuously when I find constant supply. in a nutshell can you help me with starting inventory. I have not started selling, but I have opened an account. Thanks Charles Boardman
I have zero experience with drop shipping or buying/having another person ship for me. Thanks for the question and good luck to you in finding the answer you need.
can someone help with how to list for handmade amazon products as a professional seller? its so confusing. i even own my own website yet amazon is still more confusing :(
My first question is, have you considered selling hand made items on Etsy? It is a far better platform than Amazon. Next, there is not an easy answer to your question, it depends on what the item is...food? cosmetics? toys? etc.
Yep - most all online selling platforms are very costly - try to adjust your prices a little to offset it somewhat. Sadly, I have no real tips on how to lower those fees really - it is a flat percent of list amount usually. They should bump you back a few bucks for shipping offset but still...fees are CRAY CRAY! Thanks for watching and commenting.
You can possibly - depends on the manufacturer/producer...if they are listed on Amazon you can sell too...but not sure if you can list a food as a "new" item...
Nothing to list, there is no time frame - once you list it, the item remains unless you remove or deactivate it, no auctions - for fees, go to the site amazon - then go to help section - then search for fees and pricing - this comment area won't allow links or I'd include one...hope this answer helps you!
what about handmade jewelry? I have over 1000 hand beaded bracelets "Made By Woman"" They are consistent in design and are top quality.. Nothing like them anywhere on Amazon... How do I get them listed? If there are 10 designs and 100 of each
+Brandie Bushwitz You could try Amazon but the better venue is going to be Etsy. I can give you a coupon code if you want to open a store...it will give you 40 free listings...Otherwise on Amazon you will need to get approval to sell the items - but you have to have a selling account set up to begin that process...
Judy Holden Why would I? My goal is to connect with MY buyers, not just be a sourcing agent for Amazon. My business is about finding and specially packing items for my customers, and including a handwritten note of thanks. They become MY network/customers. BUT to each his/her own!
Joshverd Nothing. Zero. Nada. ZIP! :-) --- Sell as an INDIVIDUAL not as a BUSINESS to begin...you can always change later. Selling as a BUSINESS there is a monthly fee...
Roni Danley It's all part of having integrity. If I am selling a "new" item, and the box is banged up...I DO NOT list it as new. NEW means NEW...something you would see in a store. I list "USED LIKE NEW" and note the item is new but the package is banged up. Then I list at a price that is a bargain for new item. Hope this helps and thanks for the question!
+HDAthletics Great Q! The UPC is the 10 digit "barcode" numbers - ASIN is Amazon's number, usually just the barcode number UNLESS the product is created BY the seller, then it is their unique # - the EAN is like a UPC but is 13 digits - basically find the numbers near the barcode, and input those into Amazon to find the product you are trying to list. Thanks for watching and commenting!
+Smokey Barn Coffee Roasters You can't just type in random numbers. They have to be registered numbers and tracked internationally. You must go through the process of buying UPC's for products you make. "Real" (read: official) UPC purchases can only be made from gs1.org - and that route is not cheap. The cheap ones are legit UPCs that were bought from GS1 and are being resold to recoup a few bucks. Based on the research that I've done... UPC codes are officially sold by GS1, and the registry of those is maintained by them. If I bought 100 and needed only 75, you could buy 25 from me, but the official registry will always show those numbers as belonging to ME. Sometimes real-world retailers object to second-hand UPC codes because the official registration of the number you purchase second-hand isn't in your name and making up numbers to stick on your products would almost be too simple - apparently it's too much trouble for them, if and when the real owner of the number you made up shows up, trying to use it on their own product. So, if you're planning to only sell your items online, and do not hope to expand into retail, second-hand UPCs are fine. If you think you might ever want to get into retail stores (WalMart in particular is said to be picky), you might want to do it the "official" route.
+kboogie425 As you are completing the listing, there are "fields" where you can input colors/sizes etc...This ONLY works if you are adding an item to the data base...hope this helps! Thanks for watching and commenting!
WesleyGW sorry to bother you again lol but I forgot to ask u if I ask my friends to give me reviews on my account do they have to actually buy something thank you again I liked this vid :)
Some items need a barcode - some don't. If it is a book you publish you need to get that when you publish it (ISBN #) - If it is a product , it will be in the database and you can list by item name - if it is a product YOU created you will need to get the barcode to add to the item listing b/c you are adding it to the database.
Ali Ahmed If you are the creator adding the item to the Amazon database, you will need a barcode - if you are sending to fulfillment by Amazon you will need one - just a good idea - when in doubt, message the Amazon seller's help section...
WesleyGW is it even possible to get suspended or get your amazon account removed by amazon as easy as it is with eBay because I'm trying to sell online and amazon Amazonian is my last option.I'm basically asking if amazon suspends accounts ?
Alejandro Velazquez Follow their rules, be a salesperson with integrity, there are detailed guidelines for each product category - and it depends on if you are going to sell as an individual or a business - start here services.amazon.com/content/sell-on-amazon.htm/ref=footer_soa?ld=AZFSSOA
There are percentage charts on Amazon you can check (varies from item category and price etc) basically - regardless if it is Amazon or eBay - at the end you can safely calculate about 20% in "overhead" on each item. Hope that helps!
Hey girl! The tutorial is good (I am yet to watch fully) but the intro scared me during the intro. :o You make make horror stuff. :D Kidding! You have so much enthusiasm that can be used for many things. Maybe you can write children's book and create an audio version of the same! Kids will love that. Also try horror stuff and do a video- thus help people to crap their pants with the voice modulation. I have your level of enthusiasm and I have books on many categories and they are going well. Just my goofy suggestion. I came here as I am going to list my print books (casewrap and dust jacket) without any intermediary. I am hoping to learn. Will ask my doubts when I list.
+MrMaier3000 it depends how you set up your acct. With a basic acct listings are free. When you sell something THEN fees will incur. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and commenting.
But they will charge a tiny amount for each sale, whereas in eBay they allow only a maximum price of total listed items every month. If you want to lower that charge and get more stuff, a subscription account is required.
Nadeem Sarwar Thanks for watching and commenting. I have TONS of videos about that...check the playlists I have set up on my channel's home page to find exactly what you want.
Great information. Thanks. Though I would back away from the mic a little bit. Your B's are quite explosive on audio. Maybe mix with a little less hi treble as well.
+robertloera01 That means it has to be added to the database...when you have been a seller for a while, you will be given that ability (to add to the database). If it is your own product (new UPC etc.) that is an entirely different process. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Second Coming When you have sold on the platform for a while and have good feedback and fulfillment, you will get permission to add items to the database.
Hellow sir / madam / seniors / experts I want to sell hand bags on amazon. I want to ask some important questions in my mind. Are handbags are good product to sell on amazon? how to make my own handbags brand and logo? How much do shipments from China usually cost? Will my stock will keep by amazon warehouse or myself keep my stock in my stock room? can my supplier sends my products directly to amazon ware house? what commission and services will get amazon on handbags ?? I really need good and sincere answers for these questions Thank you So much
Here we go - yes, handbags sell well on Amazon - if you want to sell your own design of bag, you will need to get it approved through Amazon, you can not just upload and sell an item not in the database without approval - I have no idea how much shipping is from China because it will vary depending on where you ship to - you can either ship yourself or if you get approved you can use FBA and they will ship for you - I'm not 100% certain how FBA works with getting product from a 3rd party so I don't have an answer on that one - not sure what you mean by commission and services...if you are an affiliate for Amazon products, you can find the affiliate commission rates in that section on Amazon...but if you are selling your own items, you get the amount of the sell price minus Amazon fees - I hope these answers help you somewhat.
Hi there. Thanks for video. But can you make it a little simple. I feel this is not for beginners. Please make it step by step. I'm the beginner but I had no any idea what you just made, I'm sorry about it.
UGH! I still do not understand why policies differ in other countries...I think it should be the top of all required policies and raise the bar on all other places....oh well...they didn't ask my opinion! LOL
Sometimes that happens. If you are the creator of the item, you will be able to list it but only after you have been an Amazon seller for a period of time with good customer service etc.
Its too CRAY CRAY! I just sold another book for $8 / minus amazon fee $3.54 / plus shipping $3.99 = subtotal $8.45 / minus shipping $2.53 / minus another amazon fee $0.07 = closing balance of $5.85. Geez WiZZZZzzz. Ebay would have a better option in my opinion as far as fees.
A very helpful tutorial. Thank you very much.
You are most welcome!
Sure I can! When looking to see if your item can sell on Amazon, simply input the UPC code in the "Add a Product" option window - if it is in the database, you can sell it! Does that help?

+Salim Amir none of the above, I have my own items that I list ship from my home. When people are just getting started they have no business trying to attempt dropshipping.

Ya but if we depend on them, we need to keep the same pic as they have kept.? Plz reply soon
I am not sure I understand your question...please resend with more info

Yes, ship from your home. and Yes Amazon does charge storage fees. I to date still do all my selling and shipping from home. NEVER used FBA
Do you still sell as Individual seller or are you now total FBA since this video? Do you have a video on how you ship your books to your customer?

WesleyGW I'll have to search for my items again but I've checked a few times weeks later and still haven't seen it when I do an actual search for my product!
It does show active for all of them tho
If it persists you will need to contact Amazon directly.
Is it possible to list items on Amazon that isn't in their catalog yet or do you have to sell stuff that they already have listed?
+Connie J Thanks for watching and commenting...I'll reply more on your second comment... :-)
I was wondering if you sell a item how do you get the the money you sell it for? Do they send you cash or on pay pal I have no idea how this works.
Thx
hello thanks for sharing ,,,i' am new to seller central and I'm stuck . my listing show on status Block unless FBA. what this mean....
Block unless FBA means you can only offer that item if you use the FBA system: Fulfillment By Amazon. Thanks for watching and commenting and good luck!
Hi,
I've listed a lot with Ebay but Amazon is quite different.
Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly. Ebay is so much different from Amazon lol
what if I dont have the products that I listed on amazon ?
Sorry about the plug
dadrules714 also list it on Craigslist...with Prom season upon us it's a good place to try
Thanks for reply ,,, they take percent ? like 3% or 10% ? and still I can sell houndered of items ?
+ali hawa If you use a business account, it is a monthly fee plus a % of sales. A personal account is just % of sales...yes, the percents can be around 3-10 more or less...
Right, I just noticed that when you sell item on the listing with free shipping it also offers you free shipping and you just have to add the price...
+Connie J Free shipping is only an option for sellers who participate in FBA (Fulfillment By Amazon). Otherwise shipping changes based on the time frame you can promise delivery. Does that help? Let me know and thanks again for watching and commenting.
Hello,
Thanks for your video its very useful. I need to know could I sell hundered of items on Amazon? if I could how much the cost I should pay to Amazon ?
Thanks again
+ali hawa The Amazon fees are 100% based on the items you sell and their sales price...
Why are fees so expensive on amazon? I sold a book for $30 and amazon deducted around $6 books. Any tips? This was a school text book.
Hello Wesley,
I am trying to keep the coffee listing in amazon.
Hello Weseley,
Thanks for your response.
You can have a look on my ebay products here
www.ebay.com/usr/uttamstores
I am trying to enter in US and UK market but could'nt.
Kindly let me know any of your suggestions on my stores and products.
Your opinion will be a great help to boost my business here.
Regards,
Zain
how long does it take for your item to appear on the amazon page listing?
+Aaron QH If you are adding an item to the database, it will take time - they must approve the listing and check all details etc. But if the item is already in the database, and you are merely adding one to sell, it usually takes less than a day to see it in listings.
That's about 30% - I know it seems like a lot, but that is about how much you get on eBay too - remember you have to calculate the Paypal fees to compare "apples to apples" of Amazon vs. eBay
Hello, i have a product that i privately label them with my own brand. This item does not have any code or UPC or any form of ID, how can i continue add my product if such information is required? thank you for your time
You can't. You need the required information to sell on Amazon. What category/type of item is it?
you are one of the better videos, actually helpful.
+dstbac07 thank you so much that means the world to me thanks for watching and commenting
Begin selling as an individual selling and shipping your own items.
hello ,i bought some children toys from my local wallmart but amazon cant find the barcode numbers why?
+Panos Lampropoulos barcodes do change. Try to seach by long tail keywords of item and manufacturer.
Thank you for this video, I found it very helpful!
Abigail Brookes So glad I could be of help! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thank you for the prompt and helpful response.
Matthew Dandridge no prob! :-)
Thanks for your help Wesley, the problem is that I a have huge box with magazines from the UK and none of them is on the database and for each one I try to sell, I have to create a new product, which it can be done but it is harder to do.
sl2k4u Yes, if it is not in the database, you have to add it to the database. Nice way to look at it - you have zero competitors!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and Paper Clip. Thanks so much for the Videos.
Sincerely,
A
Happy Thanksgiving to you too! You are welcome ;-)
WesleyGW What if I have my own privet label coffee brand? How would I post it if it doesn't exist in the database? Iv'e never sold on amazon.
Thank you just what I wanted to know and you did a good job
Aww shucks you are most welcome! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thank you so much, this really helped!!!
+Enlighten 77 I'm so glad! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Whats better? Ebay or Amazon?
Depends on your inventory/what you sell/want to sell...
can someone help with how to list for handmade amazon products as a professional seller? its so confusing. i even own my own website yet amazon is still more confusing :(
My first question is, have you considered selling hand made items on Etsy? It is a far better platform than Amazon. Next, there is not an easy answer to your question, it depends on what the item is...food? cosmetics? toys? etc.
Do you feel Amazon is better than Ebay for book sales?
For newer books yes, for vintage/signed etc eBay is better
Thank you!
Great video. Great personality. Thank you very much.
You are most welcome! Thank YOU very much for your kind words
Can you only list stuff on amazon unless they have it listed. There is alot of stuff I have but no one is selling it
yep - it has to be in the database - eventually you are able to add some things as a great seller
I have my own instructional video, how do I sell it on amazon?
Is it a physical video to ship or a digital product?
Yep - most all online selling platforms are very costly - try to adjust your prices a little to offset it somewhat. Sadly, I have no real tips on how to lower those fees really - it is a flat percent of list amount usually. They should bump you back a few bucks for shipping offset but still...fees are CRAY CRAY! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Hello WesleyGW i want to sell coffee in amazon, is this site preferable for me. plz reply soon
Thanks for uploading this amazing video
+www.hustle50bucks.net You are so welcome! Glad you liked it!
So you don't have amazon ship your items? Is there a reason to do that and to not do that?
Judy Holden Why would I? My goal is to connect with MY buyers, not just be a sourcing agent for Amazon. My business is about finding and specially packing items for my customers, and including a handwritten note of thanks. They become MY network/customers. BUT to each his/her own!
I sooooo enjoy watching and learning from you!!! Thanks!
Judy Holden Always remember to think what is best for YOUR business...use platforms to reach YOUR goals ;-)
How much does it cost to LIST an item on amazon? Still confused about that one.
Joshverd Nothing. Zero. Nada. ZIP! :-) --- Sell as an INDIVIDUAL not as a BUSINESS to begin...you can always change later. Selling as a BUSINESS there is a monthly fee...
I thought you couldn't use the words "new," "unopened" or similar words if the item isn't categorized under NEW condition. Is that true?
Roni Danley No - I don't believe so...Say you have an item from 1987 that is sealed...you could put it in collectible/new. Does that help?
WesleyGW This is an interesting video to the question. ruclips.net/video/g-a84NWLwNg/видео.html
Hey, how do i find the ASIN, UPC or EAN????
***** you are welcome! Thanks for watching and commenting!
how do you list an item with different colors of the same item?
+kboogie425 As you are completing the listing, there are "fields" where you can input colors/sizes etc...This ONLY works if you are adding an item to the data base...hope this helps! Thanks for watching and commenting!
+WesleyGW yes it does. than you ☺
kboogie425 you are most welcome!
WesleyGW sorry to bother you again lol but I forgot to ask u if I ask my friends to give me reviews on my account do they have to actually buy something thank you again
I liked this vid :)
real reviews are best
where i can change me items location?
I'm sorry, I don't understand your question...
Hai . Y people need barcode to sell on amazon n how it helps. If I don't have barcode . Is there ll b any problems
Some items need a barcode - some don't. If it is a book you publish you need to get that when you publish it (ISBN #) - If it is a product , it will be in the database and you can list by item name - if it is a product YOU created you will need to get the barcode to add to the item listing b/c you are adding it to the database.
Is it better to sell products if u got ur own barcode . Or still its same if I ll without barcode.
Ali Ahmed having it or not will not have it sell or not - BUT Amazon may require a barcode on some items...depends on the item type really.
Like mobile accessories stff
Ali Ahmed If you are the creator adding the item to the Amazon database, you will need a barcode - if you are sending to fulfillment by Amazon you will need one - just a good idea - when in doubt, message the Amazon seller's help section...
This is really helpful, But Before done anything done the keyword research first for perfect amazon seo optimization for rank better on amazon page.
That's a good idea thanks for sharing
WesleyGW is it even possible to get suspended or get your amazon account removed by amazon as easy as it is with eBay because I'm trying to sell online and amazon Amazonian is my last option.I'm basically asking if amazon suspends accounts ?
Yes Amazon can and will suspend or delete accounts...short answer.
but how do I prevent this from happening
Alejandro Velazquez Follow their rules, be a salesperson with integrity, there are detailed guidelines for each product category - and it depends on if you are going to sell as an individual or a business - start here services.amazon.com/content/sell-on-amazon.htm/ref=footer_soa?ld=AZFSSOA
You didn't say how much amazon is going to charge you, what if i want to sell something for $3.00?
There are percentage charts on Amazon you can check (varies from item category and price etc) basically - regardless if it is Amazon or eBay - at the end you can safely calculate about 20% in "overhead" on each item. Hope that helps!
what if listed a product that I dont have >?
If you are a drop shipper, the product you list still has to have a UPC code. Is that what you are asking?
+Love&Life! I've always thought of writing a book LOL! Thanks for watching and commenting.
WesleyGW You thought? Haven't written yet? :o Just do it!
Is it free list products on Amazon??
+MrMaier3000 it depends how you set up your acct. With a basic acct listings are free. When you sell something THEN fees will incur. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and commenting.
WesleyGW I understand they will take a percentage on your sells but I do not wanna any monthly fee if they already taking a cut.
MrMaier3000 Set up your account as an individual and they won't charge monthly fees.
WesleyGW thanks!!
But they will charge a tiny amount for each sale, whereas in eBay they allow only a maximum price of total listed items every month. If you want to lower that charge and get more stuff, a subscription account is required.
i was trying to get book but they didint give me it :(
You need to file a claim with Amazon
oh okay
I need full tutorial video, how to manage and list items on amazon?????
Nadeem Sarwar Thanks for watching and commenting. I have TONS of videos about that...check the playlists I have set up on my channel's home page to find exactly what you want.
Thanks lady!!!
Can I call you again for further help?
Nadeem Sarwar I am here to help Whomever I can However I can Whenever I can - you are welcome!
thanks once again!!!
Nice to see you....
how to choose any other Categories
Sorry, I don't understand what you are asking...
Great information. Thanks. Though I would back away from the mic a little bit. Your B's are quite explosive on audio. Maybe mix with a little less hi treble as well.
apillarofash Glad you liked the info I gave ya!
WesleyGW
and what if picture of the item doesnt pop up
+robertloera01 That means it has to be added to the database...when you have been a seller for a while, you will be given that ability (to add to the database). If it is your own product (new UPC etc.) that is an entirely different process. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Great Video, thanks for posting!
+MrKofi Haynes Thank YOU for watching and commenting!
How about the items are not in the data base, how to list those items ?
THX.
Second Coming When you have sold on the platform for a while and have good feedback and fulfillment, you will get permission to add items to the database.
+WesleyGW how you get your products ? If you want to share ?
Second Coming My others videos talk about that...but basically, I DO NOT buy wholesale or dropship etc...I sell and send all items from my home.
great video!!
THANKS!
Hellow sir / madam / seniors / experts
I want to sell hand bags on amazon.
I really need good and sincere answers for these questions
Thank you So much
Here we go - yes, handbags sell well on Amazon - if you want to sell your own design of bag, you will need to get it approved through Amazon, you can not just upload and sell an item not in the database without approval - I have no idea how much shipping is from China because it will vary depending on where you ship to - you can either ship yourself or if you get approved you can use FBA and they will ship for you - I'm not 100% certain how FBA works with getting product from a 3rd party so I don't have an answer on that one - not sure what you mean by commission and services...if you are an affiliate for Amazon products, you can find the affiliate commission rates in that section on Amazon...but if you are selling your own items, you get the amount of the sell price minus Amazon fees - I hope these answers help you somewhat.
Thank you so much for your useful information
so nice of you WesleyGW
Great information

Hi there. Thanks for video. But can you make it a little simple. I feel this is not for beginners. Please make it step by step. I'm the beginner but I had no any idea what you just made, I'm sorry about it.
Do you have an account set up yet?
how does upc codes come in play when selling on amazon? can you help me out?
they are in the database and you use them to list items in proper categories
UGH! I still do not understand why policies differ in other countries...I think it should be the top of all required policies and raise the bar on all other places....oh well...they didn't ask my opinion! LOL
this video is very nice and i share my blog.

Hi
Hello
I cannot list my item on amazon
Sometimes that happens. If you are the creator of the item, you will be able to list it but only after you have been an Amazon seller for a period of time with good customer service etc.
Amazon clearly writes, at the bottom of your listing, have one to sell. so i just clicked on that link.
+Mimi Khan Yep - that's a way to do it too. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Can you fix your mic ?
Sorry, but what was wrong in the audio for you?
Its too CRAY CRAY! I just sold another book for $8 / minus amazon fee $3.54 / plus shipping $3.99 = subtotal $8.45 / minus shipping $2.53 / minus another amazon fee $0.07 = closing balance of $5.85.
Geez WiZZZZzzz. Ebay would have a better option in my opinion as far as fees.
3 minutes of information in 11.
