Thank you so much for this tutorial. Bustier has been my major issue expecially because i learnt Natalie's Bray method. Thank you, a milllion times thank you.
This is beautiful ma'am I just cant wait to practise all the things I've missed so far.. the new bodice block video to the shaping (really appreciate it and God bless you ma'am) and this ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤....I really love your work and still looking forward to an online class. Once again this is gorgeous...from the colour to the fitting#itsgiving❤
Your bustier is lovely and firm. The fitting is so on point. Please can you do a video on how to draft the skirt part of a dress using Natalie bray pattern? And also ,how to shape a Natalie bray pattern to a pencil dress
Just finished watching this video. As a result, you gained a new follower, and I have to check my fabric stash, right at this moment 😅 Thank you for the detailed tutorial and inspiration!
I love love your tutorials, ❤ I think you would have used a softer fabric for the skirt part to give a good effect, the fabric used is quite firm for the style. The outfit is still gorgeous though
Thank you! Yes you’re right! the fullness of the ruching wasn’t as much as the original design. And the fabric was actually super light weight( it was the Igbo George fabric) but I will try to recreate the skirt part again with a similar fabric as the original design!
This is really beautiful… thanks so much for this; I have few questions; 1. What’s the name of the yellow foot on your juki machine, and does it have any special function? 2. Why did you leave so much allowance for the zip allowance? 3.Please can you provide a link to the scissors, you are using? Thanks so much
You’re welcome ! 1. It’s called a Teflon foot. It’s like a non stick foot, and it just glides better when sewing over certain fabrics 2. I use about 1”-1.5” for zip allowance. You can use less if that’s your preference 3. Link for the scissors ( fiskars easy action scissors). amzn.to/46zjPnW
This is so beautiful. The bustier is perfect but the choice of fabric didn't do justice to this dress. A softer, silkier fabric would have been perfect for this. Beautiful though.
You’re welcome. Yes you can tighten the over bust. The neckline on the particular design was slightly gaped , that’s why I skipped the over bust shaping .
Thanks for this video, the choice of fabric affected the drape on the skirt, but in all i learnt alot from this video, thans so much. Please i have question, when is regilene bones on a bustier or corset dress, the regilene bones bends, when the wearer is wearing it, what's the solution please?
True! Glad you still found it helpful. For the polyester Boning( that happens) a few options … The length of the boning can be reduced from reaching further down the tummy area. Try higher density of polyester boning . But over all bonings that are not made steel will bend.

Yes. Fabric choice could have been better! Thank you
So beautiful how did you add the lace at the upper part
You mean bustier neckline? I just hand stitched appliqués on.
Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial. Please, if I'm to use the normal bust dart pattern for this, do I need to tighten the over bust?
You’re welcome. Yes you can tighten the over bust. The neckline on the particular design was slightly gaped , that’s why I skipped the over bust shaping .
I just watched to the end, I understand everything now. Thank you so much. ❤️
And btw, you're so beautiful 😍
@@daisydennis2009 aww!! Thank you dear 😊♥️
Thank you for this
You’re welcome ♥️
This is beautiful, can this be made with a yoke ?
It totally can!
But when attaching a sleeve .. the armhole should not be moved further out like I did in this tutorial.
Thank you but do you replace all the dart you took on the under bust and waist
I don’t replace the darts.
@@mercyadamsinseams so what if i want to take more dart will it affect the measurement
