Was Daenerys actually the Prince that was promised? Perhaps one of the most frequently asked questions, as we reminisce about the whole story behind the prophecy of the Prince that was promised and the chaos that was approaching, is to wonder if that Prince that was promised was indeed Daenerys Targaryen, the Queen of Ashes who proved to have abilities that no other Targaryen had ever had. The Prince that was Promised is this messiah who would eventually arise from among the Targaryens, and was to unite the seven kingdoms to face the darkness.
When we ask ourselves who this princess or prince that was promised was, the answer to it often changes. Sometimes we think that perhaps the Prince that was promised could have been Aria Stark, fulfilling the prophecies in a more symbolic way, with her being a princess as well. However, the prophecy of the Prince that was promised has always been presented as the arrival of a messianic character of the Targaryen lineage. The paths always lead us back to the mother of dragons, and perhaps we should analyze again the reason why Daenerys was perhaps the Prince that was promised. Prophecies can always have different interpretations. I prefer the theory that Jon Snow was the Prince who was Promised who set up the victory and Arya represented Lightbringer - the weapon he used.
What if the true evil is the raven which is bran now and has to be defeated
A lot of people believe this to be true. I too am now on board with that theory. It makes a lot of sense.
@@Tweezy786 to me proof would be that the night king was human and he was turned by the children who follows the raven also in the book three eyes raven did some terrible things
@@richlf5518 the books are a lot different than the tv show. Bran definitely seems suspicious towards the end.
It was suppose to be Jon Snow but the writers screwed everything up. Hopefully JRRM writes the book the way it's supposed to despite the ending of the show!
The Prince Who Was Promised is Jon. The prophecy said the Prince Who Was Promised would help end the long night. That was Jon, he was the one who got everyone to lay down their swords and fight together against the darkness from the north. It never says in the prophecy that the prince would be the one to kill the darkness from the north. It says that they would stop the darkness from the north. If it wasn't for Jon no one would have came together for the long night at all, and everyone would have died.
I'll just wait for the books! The show was so disappointing when it ended, so I don't take it as seriously

When I watch game of thrones again I actually can't past episode 3 season 8 because the just ruined it
The prophecy points to Jon Snow. He united all of the houses and he was the real heir. It makes way more sense to be jon. Jon was the targaryen who united the houses. I don't count D&Ds made up ended.

I mean I think that it can't be Daenerys because she basically turned into her father she didn't mean to but that's what happened that's what Cersei turned her into in the show I think it's Jon but the show really f***** everything up so I guess we're just going to have to wait for George RR Martin to release another book
Or the Conqueror had the dagger when he had the dream seen the A stark killing the knight king and thought because she had this dagger and i was planning on passing it to my child he thought she must be my blood but i dont know because game of thrones season 8 was a shit showb

I mean ur interpretation does hold weight because in High Valyrian the prophecy means the prince or princess that was promised to bring the dawn but in this sense I don't think it was both of them if it was anyone it was John because he was hot Targaryen he represents the cold and the fire A Song of Ice and fire that's at least how I interpret it but I guess we'll never know until George RR Martin releases another book
