(just a bit spoiler alert)
Yasmin + Henry are fit each other. Yasmin adds high value as a wife to Henry as he often times is a broken compass.
While both appear to be hopeless romantics, at the end they both reveal their thirst and hungry for upward mobility.
Yasmin pads her Rolodex instantly with marriage including having control over her brand through Henry's God father's media empire.
Henry despite not being the most intellectual capital can afford to create a green startup and still manage to exit with a few hundred million dollars. His social currency is of high value.
The writing is compelling since it is relatable and relevant.
Relatable since we all yearn to be loved but the worldly desire of fame and wealth will knock this into reality.
Perhaps success in this world is not about merit but seeing the opportunities that come to life.
After viewing season 3, the saying "Its not what you know, but who you know" is taking to the nth degree.
I would even tip top and say that success is "who knows you."
