Robert, every time you interrupt the guest, to provide evidence of your own vast world experiences, the energy level of the interview drops about 83%. Luckily, most of the guys you interview as so darned smart they can pick up right where they left off and save the overall interview. Dude... thanks for getting out there and bringing this info to those of us not in The Valley, but please... let the man talk.
I had to bail on the video half way through -- Scoble constantly chimes in with nonsense questions that doesn't add to the discussion, just deters from it.
Very nice video for quick but comprehensible introduction to no-SQL. I shared it with my colleagues when we had talk on the subject (so here you go - viral spreading of information about Northscale (-: ). Thanks a lot for making it short, precise and nice. Cheers.
Will it be fair to say - objective of memcached would be to improve latency (which is a critical need for UI layer), while for Clodera and other Hadoop vendors focus is reality higher throughput which is critical for back end processing.
I watched another video where this guy interviewed Cloudera CEO Mike Olson and behaved similarly all along. I wonder why these thought leader are entertaining him.
I stopped watching this because of the camera guy! This is about Memchached not about NoSQL or anywhere else the camera guy wants to pull the discussion to... :-( . Her ruined it....
meh. I met mark zuckerberg. I've been in a google datacenter. Its a shame I don't know how to let somebody who actually knows what they're talking about speak without putting my petty little opinions in there
Great information but Scoble is insanely annoying with the constant interruptions that add no value to this video. What's really funny is how annoyed the speaker appears each time Scoble opens his mouth. I watched the whole thing completely expecting the speaker to say, "Would you shut up and let me finish!"
Dude no one cares about chatroulette visitors. We get that you get that the user/application rate has drastically changed since the 70's. That's the whole point to why there are now technologies on the rise who are different from your classic transactional systems. Just let your damn guest talk, I'm trying to listen here :(
The string of interruptions here (4:18) about Chat Roulette are embarrassing. Just shut up. Let the guy talk. Look at his face,... it's saying "STFU Dude!"
Dude! Let the guy speak!
Before I watch the video I was like it can't be that bad. Halfway through the video I am like DUDE SHUT THE FUCK UP!
Scoble's mouth is a speed bump!
Let the guy speak!
I just about to say the same thing...ugh.

Thanks Man. You showed lot of patience though interviewer interrupted you many times. It was a beautiful explanation about memcache :-)
Thanks North Scale it was a beautiful explanation about memcache :-)
Nice if there was a link to update on the story of Northscale. What was this guys name?

Why does the other guy speak so much?
wow - its nice to see someone actually say mysql the correct way.
Seems like a Chief Strategy Officer whom I'd like to have a beer with. lol. Thanks for conveying this information in an accessible way.
What happens when cameramen become hosts. Hats off to the North Scale executive for his 'patience'.
Whenever the cameraman speaks, just hit L key on your computer to fast-forward 10 seconds. Thank me later :)
Couchbase IPOd this month, man how far this technology has come.
If the data updates in real time, can database interact with memcache to have the additional data ready before the application queries it?
The interviewer seems to want to just show off odd bits of trivia under the guise of an interview.
I just herd him say something about a hashed pointer which points to which server is cached on. I don't really understand it all lol
Good explanation of difference between Sharding and Elastic.
please please please interviewer stop interrupting , so annoying!!!!!!!!
The interviewer needs to take a seat
lol he stood at the whiteboard for 20 minutes and drew seven boxes and four arrows but kept touching and pointing at the board.
Nice video.....good discussion
Thumbs up for the northscale chap
Good video I learned a fair bit from this.
Vendor lock-in warning around 19 minutes in.
Very well explained! Thank you!

I watched another video where this guy interviewed Cloudera CEO Mike Olson and behaved similarly all along. I wonder why these thought leader are entertaining him.
Very interesting topic but the interviewer constantly disrupting kinda ruined it...
how were you able to type this comment then? :P
probably a great video - but i did have to throw my lappy out the window because i couldn't stand the interruptions. :-(

NoSQL == Not Only SQL
SHUT UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUPPPP !!! Let him talk.

Dear Interviewer, you almost had me move on to a different video! Please try not to talk much next time!
dude, stop talking so much, most of the thing you say are irrelevant for the topic

This presentation is a loss of time.
