Indeed, what the Ustadh said is true, may Allah forgive him. Allah does actually look at how you look to an extent. For example, you should dress nicely when praying, since prayer is a conversation, meeting and a connection between you and Allah. Allah also looks at whether you are dressed according to what Islam allows. But yes, going back to what Mufti Menk said, generally Allah does not care about how you look.
And, Subhanallah, it's something that brings peace to the mind. Why? Because you know that Allah does not judge you the way others judge you. Everyone may shut all doors off you simply because they do not like the way you look, but Allah's Door is always open, because is is Extremely Forgiving, and Extremely and Continuously Merciful. Yaa Allah...

Aleykumselam, Don't wanna make you upset but It is not easy to reach this kind of scholars.. because these gifted people are very very few.. so they are too busy.. just ask Allah to reach your answer, be sure inşallah you will be guided by Allah.
You can look if they have ever talked about the topic that bothers you or you have a question about. In shaa Allah you will find a answer. Or else you could ask a imam at your masjid.
reliance life and capital it depends on where you live. you can always consult to your local Imams at the nearest masjids

Well allah wants healthy people right ? Why be 120 kg and fat and eat food for a whole african village, while u can be slim and dont give out so much money to food.
But you shouldnt judge the person that is 120 kg because you dont know what they are going through. Thats the point. Yes we should be healthy and not over eat but these days people are so judgemental about the looks of others. I once was in a lift with a larger built person and people said that she could better take the stairs or leave out burgers. There are many sicknesses that cause weight gain. Both physically and mentally. There are people to that arent "fat" but just bigger in built. We dont know the situation of people. So instead of labeling and calling people out on their physical features, if you really are sincere you should help them but not make them insecure and break their selfesteem.
