‘In summer, in Britain, the beach is a place of democracy, of community. It is where people from all cultures can join together in simple pleasures. I wanted to translate that ideology - that emotion - to an entire collection. I wanted to express that spirit of togetherness and joy, that reality.
The collection is inspired by the beach as a place where humanity meets, a point where different worlds collide. That tension between dressing and undressing, between revelation and protection, underwear and outerwear, all feels relevant to now and part of Burberry’s modern DNA.
This season, we explored a new sensuality - a consciousness of the body. I was inspired by the liberation and openness of youth, of people embracing their bodies and revealing them - a pride in themselves, who they are, their identities. Their freedom. On August 24th, 2018, her debut album, There’s a Place for Us, was released under the Deutsche Grammophon/Universal Music labels.

I like the earth colours.
While I do like the show, it is really frustrating these livestreams/fashion shows are barely showing most of the clothes with these constant camera transitions/angles. I don’t want to see the looks I missed during the finale, I want to see them on the first go. They really should just stick to one or two angles and some zoom-ins for the details so we can see more of it.

1'000'000% agree. Stick to two angles with some close-ups for the livestream, then add the artsy shots for the director's cut.
There is no a single shot without model/design in frame. This is 80 designs for 17 mins...
Photographs later can help you with looking at designs as much as you want.
It was filmed by a robot if you looked.. I agree that, it could've coordinated a little bit better... and really focused on the clothes, and the feminine form, but this is the limitation of the medium of videography, in relation to the body. The first angle was great, it made it look like the lines are the commuters, and that the model was walking down the runway as a commuter's track. And the music was not known, til the end, so that was a cute ponder.
I beg to differ! If they focus more on anything in particular, people will notice the ugliness and be suddenly disgusted! So keep it fast, pump the hype and label it as "great". You can't think, we'll tell you what's best...

This was actually terrible. It made me miss Christopher Bailey and only reinforced the idea that Burberry should be run by the British. This collection was... messy. Clumsy. Soulless. Weird. Sad. And decidedly very un-british. I'm eager to see what Daniel Lee will bring to the table.

I love the first few designs. The delicate lace, and then the reusable denim which we know shall be green. Quite conceptual to have myself typing online, to see a real video performance, and have that "from a writer to a video, to audiences to be part of the show"... :)
