Lucifer and "God" escaping the hospital is an amazing sequence. Got so happy when "God" said ha was so proud of Lucifer....deep down that's all Lucifer wants- his Dad's approval.
Well, do we know what God thinks about Lucifer ? No, but there are 3 important things to consider: 1. At the end of season one, Lucifer is asking God for a favor. God decided to grant him this favor and also sent him back to earth. 2. In episode 5 of season 2, Lucifer kills his brother Uriel. Until now, God has not shown any negative reaction on that. 3. In epsiode 13 of season 2, Lucifer goes to hell to save Chloe. Hell is God's domain, so he easily could have kept Lucifer there. I guess if God had strong negative feelings for Lucifer, all 3 things mentioned above would not have happened or they had another result. So I think that the way Lucifer has handled these things may not have been Gods favorite results or the forseen results. But to a great extent God at least endured them and let them happen. Maybe he is already good with Lucifer, but there are no hints for that in the show.

The amazing thing about this show is that despite its celestial nature, it's a very relatable and human show.
