thank you!!! and i don’t think there are many places you can car camp especially near the city :( but if you do find a spot or if you are planning to visit jones lake, definitely recommend!
i saw someone take a honda civic up there so i wouldn’t say it isn’t possible, but your car will take a lil beating for sure.. 4x4/suv would help tho. when i went, there were a bunch of campsites to choose from, however, some of them weren’t as close to the lake as we wanted. we decided to camp right on the beach area and at first we were the only ones there but when the weekend hit, a whole grad party came up and set up camp in the same area. it got pretty busy. i recommend going on weekdays if u can!
