The power button on my right speaker was getting progressively worse and worse and this video proved invaluable for informing me of the two screws at the bottom. I have now bypassed the power button and it's working fine. Thanks!
@@toneofease I used a couple of metal cutoff bits and some solder. I used a multimeter set to measure ohms to make sure I was bridging the right stuff.
The "Strange Screw" is a hex head, and usually you'd just use a hex wrench. I'm saddened to see logitech put in fake tweeters. So many reviews reference the "Tweeters", but thanks to you, its clear that well... there aren't any!
any fix for the audio skipping like a scratched CD etc? Initially I thought it was my PC, but tested with some headphones and there was no audio skipping when connected the same audio port. so it is the speakers that has a fault.
I had no sound in left speaker, the first thing is to try look is at the connector for the speaker that has no sound, squeeze the connector inwards so it makes harder contact with the output on the sub-woofer box's amplifier board, the connector is loose and making poor contact with the amplifier output connection. if that doesn't fix it than you must unscrew the amplifier board and check for loose capacitors, you must reflow the solder because the capacitor solder joint has broken loose and is making poor contact
Hi man, I can't find anywhere solution. I always used only green cable and 2 front and 1 center speaker. Center speaker stopped working out of nowhere when not used. What could it be? Subwoofer connection works, so it must be the center speaker fault. Is there any solution you can recommend? Thanks. Would it sound bad without the center?
Could u help to find how to open subwofer in logitech z607 please. Thank u. Or when can i find disassemble instruction for logitech z607. Anyone can help lplease. Thank u
i`ve had these years all of a sudden audios skipping like a majorly scratched cd, not sure if anyones had this problem but i`ve narrowed it down to the subwoofer or right speaker with the different plug ,if anyone's encountered this how did you fix it?
also got the same issue recently after running these for years without any issues.. yeah it sounds like a scratched CD audio skipping/drop out.. Did you fix it? Initially I thought it was my PC, but tested with some headphones and there was no audio skipping. so it is the speakers that has a fault.
Don't have the link but finding them should be simple search :Z506 speakers and look for a extra pair for cheap that you can scrap or another Logitech model that's similar as the Logitech X530 which is where I got the spear from for the replacement.
while the video was very brief and not very intuitive to "Fixing" i actually didn't even know there was screws at the bottom of the Speaker and im currently trying to fix mine so it helped me :p
