Ive never had to use gasket goop. Why do you. ? Just curious

Curious, what’s the benefit of a sump? Mine has one and is leaking oil, previous installer didn’t put a cotton-pickin’ gasket in between. Anyway, I’m considering removing it and going back to stock. Bad idea? Thx for any info

It helps prevent oil starvation during hard turns. Also helps a little with cooling the oil. I would personally just throw a new gasket on there…
