    I know it’s hard but you need to live in the moment for the foreseeable future because you can’t control all of this and it’s causing you stress and anxiety….when you have baby, everyone will have to step up and help and that includes your kids…they will all adjust and so will you….kids are resilient and they will all handle it….❤️ you will most likely be in NICU for a time and that is hard to plan for….make a bunch of freezer meals…every time you cook make two and freeze one…maybe purchase a small chest freezer

    • @MidwestMom

      I do need to start working on freezer meals next month!!

    If you give him the chance, with the opportunity and practice he can do it. The learning curve for both of you will take some surrendering (control,expectations). Yes if you were home even like you said to take a step back from work to get through maternity leave everyone will benefit. It's not forever! You will work the rest of your life as you choose. We're all rooting for y'all! ♡

    Don't feel bad about wanting to continue your career. I work afternoons so I only see my kids for an hour in the mornings and they're in bed when I get home. It sucks. And I hate it. But it's the only shift available for me in my line of work. I do have 4 days off in a 2 week period so I see then then . Sometimes it's just what needs to happen to pay the bills. It's life, and it's okay. Don't feel guilty. As for anxiety, I understand you 100%. I used to have anxiety so bad, I'd ignore phonecalls and even knocks at the door. I'd just in the same chair all day and just shiver and sweat with anxiety. The unknown IS scary, that's totally normal to feel that way. And maybe give Luke a chance at doing it himself. People take care of 5+ kids all the time, if he says he can do it, believe him. If he changes his mind, no harm done.

    Anna you seem so sweet. Let your baby be born then take it from there. The unknown causes anxiety I know. Wishing you the very best. I’m sure everything will work out. It usually does ❤

    Hugs and positive vibes! I know it doesn’t help!! Lol but If Luke says he’s got it! Let him handle it mama. It seems like he’s a great guy and dad. I’m sure he’ll let you know if he can’t handle something. ❤ it’s so hard to let go and put your trust in someone else with your kids. When you said you didn’t wanna go out bc it felt like a task… I felt that! Everything feels like a task anymore, it’s so hard!

    That way while you’re at work you aren’t worried about him being overwhelmed!
    I’m sure he’s perfectly capable of handling it all but it’s never a bad thing to have extra help ❤ sending you hugs girl! It’s a big life change but just like you adjusted with one you’ll adjust to 5❤

    I absolutely appreciate you speaking out about anxiety and how life can change so fast. I had to take a break from nursing school because I just had a baby during my first quarter and during second quarter he was diagnosed FTT. I had to make the choice to step back and focus on him. But don’t get me wrong it made me feel like I was giving up a little bit of my dream but I know life goes on and I can get back at it. It’s just the current season I’m in and I know there’s always a better future, it’s just how I perceive right now and the struggle. I know it sounds corney but I always refer to the song “it’s the climb” by Miley Cyrus. The climb is rough but at the top of the mountain the view is always great ❤ you’re doing amazing and you are a strong woman who create a beautiful life for yourself and family. Don’t you forget it.

    Sending you the biggest hug! I also have anxiety so I can completely understand where you are coming from. You’ve got this mama 💜 maybe look into a pre natal/postpartum therapist? I had one after my daughter was born and it helped a lot. Thinking of you!

  • @beachmama4250
    @beachmama4250 Год назад

    As moms it’s incredibly hard not to worry and want to know the answers to everything and be in control. I would say if Luke thinks he can handle it I would atleast give him the chance. If he does it a few times and decides he needs/wants help then you bring someone in to help him. I think you’ve found a great partner in him and I would just remind yourself to trust him to be honest with you if he feels like he can’t handle something or it’s too much. I have loved following you all these years! As cliche as it sounds it really will all work out❤

My niece had a baby with gastroschisis and it was so stressful. (by the way, he is now 3 yrs old and perfectly normal and a happy child). I think you might consider taking time off from your job and try to enjoy just being a pregnant MOM, wife and chilling out a bit. Wish I could help......................take care, dear one. It really makes sense that you'd be feeling this way. I have anxiety too and you're embarking on a new chapter with a lot of unknowns and what ifs. Maybe just do a little research and find potential helpers in case Luke needs them after baby. When my son was in the nicu I was able to plan and put things in place so that will give you a little time as well. Thinking of you ❤

    Been in similiar shoes before, getting a diagnosis in pregnancy (heart defect). Living in limbo is absolutely terrible. It's honeatly more mentally draining than the NICU part. Once baby is here it's hard but you also feel like you're doing things if that makes sense. Like you are making tangible plans and monitoring and taking steps once baby is here. During pregnancy it's just so many unknowns compounded on each other that it was mental torture. Big hugs. You are not alone.

    I think you're used to a partner where that working situation would not be acceptable. Let him do it lol big families are chaos and he knows that and it's totally fine for things to be hard. He's your support even though they are not ALL his kids they are ALL family. I think the only thing here is to try to prepare for a longer maternity leave given her health situation. Your brain is going a mile a minute but it's okay just keep on chugging you can do it! #nestingbrain is like your trying to organize your life not just your physical stuff haha
